Rating: Summary: great book Review: this book the princess diaries is one of the best books i have ever read! i really liked it. i read all three when i had pneumonia and they really cheered me up. they are really funny and quirky.
Rating: Summary: Very good! Review: Wow! I must say to Ms. Cabot that I'm quite impressed! It was written just as a 14 year old girl should write, making it very realistic and a real treat to read. Mia Thermopolis has a pretty normal life. She's no beauty queen, true, and she is flunking Algebra, but she has a loving mother and a fun best friend. Then her father ruins her life by declaring that she's the next ruler of a small European country. Next, her paternal grandmother insists on making her look and act like the crown princess she is, which becomes the cause of a huge fight with her best friend. And now Mia has to battle the media every day at school, and on top of THAT, her mom is dating her Algebra teacher. Whew! Some girls have it tougher than others. But Mia reluctanly clunks her way through it all and comes out (somewhat) victoriously. A cute, breezy read. Five stars.
Rating: Summary: Meg's Book Review: I read this book as a part of my expert project for english. I had already seen the film and thought the book couldnt be much different, although it was. I thought the book was much better than the film. Meg is an awesome writer, her ability to make her writing seem to come from a 14 year old girl is amazing. She is incredibly talented not to mention a very nice person. With all the attention she has gotten from her book she still took the time to send me multiple emails along with a quiz i had sent, and i cant thank her enough for her time. Anyway, all 3 books are hysterical i would reccomend them for any child or teenager. Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: awesome ;) Review: I recently found myself at my local library (don't ask why!) and I picked up The Princess Diaries, hoping for a quick, fun summer read. I'm 16 years old, and in the midst of SATs and precal and college stuff-- the Princess Diaries is a (welcome!) break from the norm. The reader is catapulted into the life of Mia Thermopolis, a tragically uncool ninth-grader at Albert Einstein Academy in New York. Anyone, young or old, can relate to Mia, albeit unrequited love or unbridled scrutiny from the popular crowd, which makes Meg Cabot's writing universal. As Mia learns of her royal lineage, we witness a miraculous transformation occur. Mia is forced to blossom prematurely, and the effects are hilarious. You see Mia flounder, fumble, and fall...only to pick herself up. Friendships are tested, boundaries are created, and Mia must search within herself to find out who she truly is. A fairy tale with a twist, The Princess Diaries is a wonderful book, illuminating the minds of anyone who has dreamt of becoming a princess.
Rating: Summary: An excellent story about Mia Thermopolis Review: Mia Thermopolis is a normal 14 year old New Yorker (well o.k she has size eight feet and she's the tallest girl in her freshman class amongst other things)but then things start to happen in her life. First, her mum starts going out with her Algebra teacher Mr Gianini (she's currently flunking Algebra) and then her dad tells her she's heir to the throne of Genovia since he wasn"t a politician like she thought. He was PRINCE of Genovia!! And to make it worse for Mia she has to have princess lessons with her freaky Grandmere, the dowager princess, who draws on her eyebrows every morning (since she shaved them off) and has eyeliner permantly tatooed on her eyelids. Also she's in love with Josh Richter, a senior who doesn't even know she exists and she has to have a bodyguard called Lars following around!! The Princess Diaries is frequently hilarous and a really good read. It is written in diary style as Mia's mum gave her a journal so she can express who feelings since she never tells her mum. This book is a good read for all ages but it is most recommended for teenage and pre-teen girls. It is really funny and it is "written" by a teenage girl. If you like this you will most definitely like the sequels...Princess in the Spotlight and Princess in Love. Happy Reading :)
Rating: Summary: Everyone Knows That U Shouldn't Judge A Book By Its Cover Review: But I did before I picked it up. Have to say its one of the best ones I have ever read. If u are considering seeing the movie, make sure u read the book first because it is much better!! An average girl living in New York, her life turning upside down when she finds out her royal hertiage. That's every girl's dream, especially mine!!!
Rating: Summary: This is a must read book. Review: The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot is a wondeful comedy about the most unpopular girl in high school who just finds out that she is the princes of Genovia. Her diaries tell very straight foward and true feelings about what it is like to be a princess. However, that's not the only interesting thing in her life; she is flunking algebra, and it just so happens that her mother is dating her algebra teacher. Through all this she doesn't even have a best friend to support her. I recommend this book to teenage girls because it is a very funny book of a girl's diary that you will find easy to relate to.
Rating: Summary: Funny and Entertaining Review: This book is a hilarious introduction to the world of Mia Thermopolis. It feels as if she is giving you secrets, as she writes DETAILED entries in her diary. Wy do you think they made a move out of it?
Rating: Summary: Princess Diaries Review: How would you react if, one day, you found out that you were a princess? In The Princess Diaries, Mia Thermopolis is shocked when she hears this news. Mia is a fifteen-year-old girl who lives in Manhattan and has a normal teenage life until the day she finds out that she is the princess of Genovia. Mia's whole world turns upside down when she receives the news from her dad. In addition to the big news, Mia has to deal with other teenage problems, too. Mia's mom is dating her algebra teacher, Mr. Gianini, whose class she is failing, and she likes this guy Josh Richter who doesn't even no that she goes to the same school. Mia becomes even more stressed when her grandmother, Grandmere, comes to Manhattan to give Mia Princess LessonsE During the story, something was always happening which made it interesting to read. I would recommend The Princess Diaries for all teenage girls to read because, even though most of the events in the story would never happen, some things are realistic and fun to read.
Rating: Summary: DIARIES OF THE PRINCESS Review: This book is written in a diary style, which I like a lot. It¡¯s about a girl name Mia Thermopoils, who is the freakiest person in the school. One day she found out that her dad is the prince of Genovia (a made up country), so she IS A PRINCESS! She is really SHOCKED! That's because she does not want to be a princess (That is weird -_-"). If you want to find out more about what would she do, I recommend that you read this book because you will enjoy the author's writing style very much! This story has been made into a comedy movie.
