Summary: If you thought the MOVIE was good....
Review: One word: WOW.

A bunch of people in my language arts class were reading this book, so I found it and read it, even though I didn't think I would like it much. I was SO wrong!

What happens in this book is that Mia Thermopolis, a flat-chested, ski-feated, ugly-haired Freshman living in a loft next to Greenwich village (not Green Witch) with her single mom, just discovered that she's the heir to a small European country! Every girl's dream, when she's little at least, right? WRONG!
Mia is totally shocked at first, and then it gets worse: She has to take princess lessons from her strict grandmother, who believes that it's more important to know how to say "No thank you" and "thank you" in a dozen different languages than, say, world politics.

Did I mention Mia's the most unpopular girl in the school, and her mom is dating her algebra teacher, which is a subject she's failing?

Oh, and to the people that say that this book should be read by people 12 and up, I say: PAH! You people are obviously adults. I reccomend 10 and up, since it's not like you don't know the things they talk about by at least the middle of 4th grade.

Summary: An Enchanting Modern Fairy Tale
Review: This is the most creative book I have ever read. I really enjoyed this book because it actually does sound like what teens today would write. The language of the book is very modern and the actions are very realistic. This story isn't the classic "Dear Diary" thing with calmness, but it is an explosion of emotions written down. It is something more likely to be found in my diary. This creativity is simple, yet it makes the story much more fun.

I also loved the plot of the story and the characters. The plot is very original. It is about a girl, Mia, who finds out that she is the next heir to the throne of a microscopic country, when she is already fourteen! Imagine not knowing that for all your life. The characters are very fun because none of them are that normal. Mia is an invisible girl who needs more self-esteem, and she has a best friend who is rebellious and independent, Lily.

The book is somewhat different from the movie, but I think it is more enjoyable.

Summary: Much Better then the Movie
Review: 'The Princess Diaries' is defintely one of my favorite books of all time. The movie, unfortuntely, [was weak]. [It was immature and vapid.] This book has depth, and represents what teenage life is really like. A normal girl, Mia Thermopolis, is suddenly thrust into the media spotlight because she is a princess of a small, unknown country. Her evil, (but highly entertaining) Grandmother gives her "Princess Lessons" so Mia can become better prepared to run Genovia. Amazing book. The ending is a bit of a surprise, so READ READ READ!

Summary: AWESOME BOOK!!!
Review: this is like one of the best books i've ever read! well first off, Mia is your average teenager. when she finds out that she is actually heir to the throne of Genovia, her life just basically changed upside down. this book has a perfect plot and expresses how most teens feel about growing up. meg cabot is such a cool author. she has a great sense of humor. she makes the Mia character so real and funny. i would definitely recommend this book for anyone who is over twelve years old. trust me, you'll luv it!!!:)

Summary: Hilarious
Review: These books are hilarious and any teen girl can relate to them. After seeing the movie, (it stunk) I read the book anyway. The books are much more mature and entertaining. All three books are hilarious and very good. If you are a persistant Meg Cabot reader, then you will be highly satisfied by the ending of the third book. These are my all time favorite books. NOTE TO PARENTS: You might have let your nine-year-old daughter see the movie, but unless she is at least thirteen, wait to let her read the book.

Summary: An Awesome Book
Review: This book was a book that I never wanted to put down. I literally read it in less then a week. I never have really found a series of books that I enjoyed as much as I do this one. It was a great book and instead of me telling you about the entire book, why dont you go out and read it yourself??

Summary: Meg Cabot Rocks!
Review: Mia Thermopolis is an ordinary 14 year old with huge feet, long height and pretty much flat whose mom is dating her teacher. The one who teaches a subject she flunks. Algebra.
All that is about to change.
Mia learns that her father is not able to have other children. More importantly, she learns that he is a prince and since he can't have any more kids, she is heir to the throne.
Soon she must endure painful encounters with the press, useless princess lessons from Grandmere, her grandmother with tatooed eyebrows, her crush on both the boyfriend of her enemy and her best friend's brother, and not having a date for the Cultural Diversity dance.
