Summary: The Healing Touch
Review: If you like rooting for lost causes and overcoming impossible odds, you'll love this beautifully crafted book. Even if you don't, you'll still find this book a page-turner. The Horse Whisperer practices his art not with tricks but with a gentle guiding touch that allows both man and beast to work their way through their inner fears and pain. In that sense, this book is pure magic and a wonderful read.

Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN
Review: NEVER HAVE I FELT THIS STRONGLY ABOUT A BOOK AS I HAVE THIS ONE. IT WAS VERY TOUCHING. EACH PAGE I READ MADE ME WANT TO READ ANOTHER ONE. THEN THEN ENDING...WHEN IS THE SEQUAL COMING OUT??!!??

Summary: Ludicrous!
Review: What romantic tripe! It was a laborous narrative devoid of any surprises or much interest. I think the author should have created more believable characters.

Summary: Read the book and be thrilled!
Review: I have truely enjoyed reading the book. It is a good story that gave me a fare idea of what to expect by the term horse whisperer. Reading the story I could identify myself with most of the caracters and felt sorry when I reached the last page.

Summary: I loved the book until the end!
Review: I very much enjoyed this book until the end. Tom committing suicide was so out of character & then we move forward a year & wrap everything up. The characters should have been permitted to make their own decisions, not have them made by default.

Summary: the stars are for ..
Review: two of them are for pilgrim .. cuz I guess I enjoyed reading about him .. more than any one else in the book .. and one is for the thought of a mother taking such action in order to heal her doughter .. such a long journey to look for a cure to a wound .. I wish a lot of people do that .. even if their wounds are not as clear as a leg been cut .. again I wished the auther wrote more and more about the horse .. he's writing about that horse's feelings .. are so vivid .. and great .. thank you .. ps: you'll notice that the horse whisperer himself doesn't talk much .. and when he is asked about something he doesn't give a clear answer .. like it's like this .. because itsn't like that .. :) .. such a wise guy ?

Summary: Vapid and inane.
Review: This book has so much potential that never pans out. There are four main characters (including the horse), but the author chooses to spend the majority of his time describing the scenery. In addition, Mr. Evans seems content to explore the same inane relationships as other authors (boy and girl meet, fall in love, etc.). The focus of the book changes mid-way through the book, shifting away from the relationship between the girl and her horse. If the book is not about this relationship, why devote so much space to the events leading up to the initial injury of the horse and girl? I picked this book up because it was on the best-seller list; I should have put it down long before the end.

Summary: The best book I have ever read....
Review: The book "The Horse Whisperer" is a wonderful book. It left me feeling as if I wanted to pack up and move to Montana. I am a horse lover and that along made me eager to read the book. It was very hard to put down. I could read this book a dozen times and never get tired of it. The book touched my heart and made me cry many times. I dont know what to say except the copy I own is very valuable to me and I will keep it always.

Summary: A disappointment
Review: Honestly, I didn't want to read this book to begin with. I figured that because it was a bestseller, and a couple of friends recommended it to me, it would be better than I thought. But not so! It was worse. I think that the book could have been without the love story. It seems like the author took over 350 pages to build up to a love story that didn't really fit into the plot to begin with. I think he did a terrible job conveying emotions and trying to draw the reader in with their relationship. Somebody wrote a review saying that if you love Bridges of Madison County, you'll love this book. Not so. I thought Bridges was wonderfully well written and poetic even - it was less about the actual actions and more about the emotions of the characters, this book was trying to be that, but failed miserably. I kept reading the book in the hopes it would get better, though it never did. I would not recommend it. I don't see how people liked it. The ending was just so out of cha! ! racter for Tom Booker. I think that the author lost his creativity and just wanted the book to be finished.

Summary: The Horse Whisperer is a super grab!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I thought the book was full of great descriptions of the characters and the events that unfold. The movie is not the same as the book, however. I liked the book better than the movie.
