Summary: Not so much a horror, but a gothic drama
Review: This was the first book I read by Stephen King, and I loved it. It is not "scary" or "terrifying", though it has some elements of suspense. This book has heart, and strong characters. A modern classic!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Stephen King has a soft side?
Review: This was the sixth King book I have read, the first was Bag of bones which I loved, But when I read this, the ending had me feeling sad becaause of the way King draws you into the story, and makes you want to stop some of the things from happening. This was probably the best book I have ever read, and I can only hope, that the movie is half as good.

Summary: Spellbinding!
Review: This was the first Stephen King book I have read and I am amazed at his powerful storytelling. The characters were each given multi-faceted decriptions that leaves the reader feeling like they know these people. The story is so well woven the reader feels like they are actually a part of the story smelling the foul smells, hearing the shouts, and seeing the sparks.I grew up "watching" Stephen King. I normally do not read books in this category, but now that I have read one of his books, I am sure to start collecting them all. I am so impressed by this book. I am really glad I spent not only the money to buy it, but the time to read it.

Summary: One of the best Stephen King has written
Review: I loved this book so much, I wasn't able to put it down until I finished it. I have read every other novel by King, and I felt this is one of his best yet.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!
Review: This is just what the summary says, A GREAT BOOK! Stephen King really portrays this as an emotional novel more than horror to me. Almost all 6 parts have a part that just makes you feel sad for a character(s), like Mr. Jingles, and John Coffey. The horror in this novel really doesn't start taking place until 'Night Journey', but it is still a good drama, and even somewhat mystery. I can't wait to see the movie!!!

Summary: A wonderful book
Review: This was my first Stephen King novel, and I'm certainly glad I read it! I enjoyed the mythological undercurrent, the characters were beautifully portrayed, flawed humans, and the plot was well-crafted. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read!!
Review: I love Stephen King's early books (Christine, Cujo, Pet Sematary). Then he started coming out with It, The Tommyknockers, etc. I stopped reading his novels. This past weekend I read where a new movie was being made starring Tom Hanks, The Green Mile. I immediately went out and bought the complete series. This is, by far, Stephen King's best. It's also one of the best books I have ever read. If Stephen continues with this style of writing, I will again become a Stephen King fan. You'll never look at death row the same. I recommend this book to everyone!

Summary: Boring
Review: I've read quite a few of Stephen King's books and I've liked all of them except for this one. I thought it was very slow and nothing really happens until the end. I thought about not reading another one of King's books after this but I'm glad I didn't because he came back strong with Bag of Bones

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Read it!! (The best King ever??)
Review: I only started reading this book because I had to wait in a friend's flat for someone an the first part of the serial novel was there. But I was really surprised and totally fascinated by the story and immediately bought the whole book. I would say that this book is far beyond entertainment literature and still very entertaining. Just read it before the movie comes into the cinemas.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good entertainment!
Review: While I would not rate The Green Mile as the greatest work of fiction ever, it is a very good book and highly entertaining. Mr. King helps you to develop emotions (good and bad) for most of the major characters involved in the story, which is always a nice touch.

There some parts of the book that you really have to work your way uphill, but those parts are few and always serve a purpose.
