Summary: Bud, Not Buddy
Review: I really enjoyed reading Christopher Paul Curtis's book Bud, Not Buddy. This book won a Newbery Award. I thought it was really good because it was adventurous. Bud, age 10, was living in a foster home in Flint, Michigan. His mom died and he does not know where his dad is. Bud's mom always would look at a blue paper. He knew that the man on the paper had to be his father. The people at the foster home sent him to the Amoses' house. He ran away from there. Bud wants to find his father. He met a guy named Lefty Lewis who could take him to his father. Bud was curious to find out if Herman E. Calloway is his father. You have to read this book to see what happens to Bud. So, if you are looking for a very entertaining book, you should read Christopher Paul Curtis's book, Bud, Not Buddy. I really hope you enjoy this book!

Summary: a must read book
Review: I liked this book because of the way it is set and what is going on.I also liked this book because it makes me laugh a lot.My favorite character was Bud because he was very funny and brave.I also liked Bud because of what he did to Tom Amos when he left the house. My favorite part of the book was when he poured the hot water on Tom Amos's lap. The reason why that is my favorite part is because it reminds me of something one of my friends did. I think it was funny when he thought that Lefty Lewis was a vampire in the car going down the street. One more reason why i liked the book was because when he set a goal he would not give up until he accomplished it. I thought that the ending was very good.

Summary: A Page Turner
Review: Bud Not Buddy is about a boy named Bud who lives in a foster home because his mom died. Bud runs away from his home to look for his dad because he does not know who he is. This book is an adventurous expedition for Bud to find his dad. I liked this book because Bud is a wonderful character and another reason is it sort of teaches you a little bit about life such as it teaches you if you want to do something all you have to do is set your mind to it. My favorite part of the book is when he is at his foster home, him and his foster brother Todd Amos got into fights and Bud ended up having to sleep out in a shack everynight. That is when Bud's adventure began. The ending turns out to be very different than Bud figured, but I am not going to tell you what happens. You can read Bud Not Buddy and figure out yourself.
