Summary: Amazing Tale of Fantasy and Royalty for All Ages
Review: Princess Addie and Princess Meryl have one thing in common, they love each other dearly. That's where their likenesses end. Where Meryl is strong, and dreams of protecting the kingdom of Bamarre and slaying dragons, Addie is terribly shy, and fearful of even the smallest things, especially spiders. But when Meryl is suddenly struck with the Gray Death (a sickness that stays with you for two weeks, and then you die), the tables are quickly turned, and it's now up to Addie to find the courage to set out on a dangerous quest filled with unknown magic, death, and dragons. But as time slowly begins to run out, and Meryl becomes sicker and sicker with the Gray Death, Addie is unsure whether she will be able to save her sister's life, and the future of the kingdom of Bamarre.

After reading Gail Carson Levine's ELLA ENCHANTED, I was anxiously awaiting the chance to sit down and read THE TWO PRINCESS OF BAMARRE. Luckily, that chance came sooner, rather than later. Levine has a talent of taking fantasy, romance, royalty, fairies, death, sadness, life, happiness, etc., and intertwining them into marvelous works of literary art. This is the case with THE TWO PRINCESS OF BAMARRE. Addie is a scaredy-cat tourned courageous, whom is filled with spirit and love for her sister. While Meryl is a warrior at heart, who keeps hope that her beloved sister will save her life. THE TWO PRINCESSES OF BAMARRE is a must read for anyone, as it is filled with adventure and romance galore.

Summary: Two Princesses Written Well
Review: This book is truly amazing. It shows the corage and strength the two sisters needed and used when they were facing situations opposite of what they thought and wanted to do. I could not forget this book, and could not put it down. This tale was definetly well written and explained, and it will be one of my favorites for a long time. Congrats to Gail Carson Levine for such a remarkable piece, and I shall be looking for more.

Summary: Teh Princesses Of Barmarre
Review: This an epic tale of a young female who conquers all her fears to save a loved one. The princesses could not be any more different. Princesses Adelina(Addie) is a coward when it comes to the smallest thing as spiders even though she has absolutely no fear toward an illness. She believes that since she can't see it, it can't hurt her. Princesses Meryl is fearless and not to mention courageous. She doesn't express fear in the book other than for her sister and the well-being of Barmarre. Meryl has a secret dream in life, even though she promises not to begin it until her younger sister(Addie) is grown and wed. That dream of hers is to slay a dragon and to save Barmarre from certain destruction. Even though she is often discouraged from that dream because she is a "young and dainty" princess. The finish of the book was a little disappointing(at least for me)only because it does not keep going on about the aftermath of the events in the book. An epilogue would have been wonderful.

I recommend this book to any one who enjoys action, adventure and a little romance throw in. I give this book 5 Stars.

Summary: The Two Princesses of Bamarre
Review: The Two Princesses of Bamarre is a book I enjoyed, and I doubt I will ever find another one like it. I laughed and cried when I read it. Gail Carson Levine has done it again with this story of love, fantasy, and self-discovery as well as sword fights and battles.

The two princesses of Bamarre couldn't be more different. Princess Addie is fearful and shy. She has always longed for safety. Princess Meryl is courageous and brave. Her deepest wish is to save the kingdom of Bamarre. They are sisters and they mean the world to each other. But just when Addie feels most content, disaster strikes and Addie sets out on a perilous journey. But she must face ogres, specters, gryphons, dragons and even her own fears. Addie must battle them, but time is running out, and the sister's lives-and Bamarre's fate- hang in the balance.

I give this book five stars, and recommend it to people who want a book about swordfighting, fantasy, love, dragons, monsters, fairies, miracles, ogres and adventures.

Summary: Adventures everywhere!
Review: Dragons, castles, princesses, and sorcerers. Oh my!!! If you like all these things and adventures you should read The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine, published by Scholastic Inc.in 2001.
This book is about two princesses that live in a castle in Bamarre.
Myrel gets the Gray Death and Addie [the scared one] tries to go out and find the cure. On her way she meets all kinds of things like dragons, specters ,and gryphons.
An exciting part of the book is towards the end of the book. It's when Addie and some people she met are battling ogres and only one person dies. Throughout the battle Addie was always yelling, "Victory for Bamarre!". This book might make you cry. Then when you think that Myrel died, there's a surprise twist!
On a scale of 1-10 for the rating of this book I would give it a 9 because it really is a good book. But some of it is confusing.

I thought this book had a wonderful plot with very intersting and charming characters, one of Levine's finest books. I recommend The Two Princesses of Bamarre and all of Levine's books to anyone who loves a good fantasy and I hope you can enjoy them half as much as i did.
