Summary: The classic mother-child love story!
Review: I love this book. I've loved it since my mother read it to me and I have tears as I read it to my baby son. The pictures are in beautiful harmony with the words from page to page about Mother Bunny going to any length to be with her sweet Baby Bunny! A must have for your child's fledgling library!

Summary: Makes kids feel safe and cozy
Review: I loved reading this to my children when they were young, and they enjoyed cuddling while we read it.

Summary: One of the best
Review: Both my daughter and I absolutely love this book. (She just graduated from eighth grade, and later in the day after that event we sat and read through this together, through happy tears).

Nothing better describes the give-and-take of a child in the "twoish" range who needs to try to push limits and explore boundaries, while knowing it's safe and there's a loving presence to come home to.

Summary: An unhealthy story of a mother who won't let go
Review: To me, this book is a story about a bunny who is trying to grow up and make his way in the world. His mother is deranged and obsessive, and tracks him down to the ends of the earth. I found this book really creepy.
An alternative book with a healthier message, about a mother who loves her child and is there for her child, but is willing to let her child venture into the world on her own, is Mamma, Do You Love Me?

Summary: Exemplary....
Review: This book exemplifies everything that a children's book should be. On a good day, or on a bad day, this book fills your heart with true and beautiful love for your children, and teaches you, the parent, as well as your child, just how very much you love them, lest you should forget for even a moment.

I absolutely love this book.
So do my kids.

Summary: If He Wants To Go So Badly, Let Him Go
Review: I am going to be a father in a few days and I picked up this "charming" little book. I could not believe how uppity this bunny was. To be honest with you, this insolent little lagomorph shows no remorse whatsoever for the trials and tribulations he is obviously eager to put his (possibly unhealthily) devoted mother through. He ends up staying only because he realizes he just can't get away from his mom.
I can't imagine letting my impressionable young daughter get away with this attitude!

Summary: One of the Finest Childrens Books
Review: Kids love certain books more than others. Who knows what the magic formula for children book success is? But Runaway Bunny, like Goodnight Moon, is one of the magic, perfect all-time classics. In our house, when we asked the kids to pick out a book to read, they more often than not chose this one from the dozens available on the bookshelf. The main bunny character wakes up early while the rest of his family is still snoozing. He goes about his fun adventure, then when he returns to his bunny home, his family wakes up and goes about their day, while Runaway Bunny goes back to bed. The idea of the bunny being alone in nature for a while seems to appeal to a child's fear of isolation, while also stimulating the idea that a bit of solitude is needed to stimulate creativity and personal growth. A joy to read. Your children will love it and you'll love reading it to them.

Summary: A mother's love
Review: An endearing book about a little bunny that wants to run away, and the mother bunny who wants to run after him, "for you are my little bunny". A sweet tale of a mother's love and a bunny's imagination. When the bunny imagines he becomes a fish to swim away from her, she imagines she will become a fisherman and fish for him. Each idea the bunny comes up with, the mother knows what to become to make sure she gets her bunny back! The story has both black and white illustrations (where the bunnies are talking) and then a 2 page color illustration with each instance of mother getting her bunny in their imagination, such as a delightful picture of Mother bunny in a river with fishing boots; holding a line with a carrot on it to catch little bunny.
This is a wonderful, loving book to read to your child(ren).

Summary: The Best
Review: This is my absolute favorite book to read to my kids. My daughter knows which book I'll choose if she let's me choose the book we read at bedtime. She reminds me not to cry every single time we read it. It is so heartwarming and touching. So comforting, reassuring the baby bunny that it's mother will ALWAYS be there...no matter what he does or where he goes, he'll always have her to come home to. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! A must-have for your childs library, one that they (and you) will cherish forever!!

Summary: A great parent guide.
Review: This book, when read by Mom or Dad, will tell a child that no matter what, I'll always be here for you and I'll never give up looking for you. Parental love is the greatest love a child will ever feel. Great for new parents.
