Rating: Summary: Now it's going to be a movie Review: I loved this novel and thought it was just right for the small or large screen.
Rating: Summary: Please stick to politics Review: I may agree with 'some' of his politics--but, he can not write his way out of a paper bag.
Rating: Summary: Those Who Pass Up This Book Are Foolish! Review: I was absolutely surprised to discover that Bill O'Reilly can "spin" a great story! Good job, Mr. O'Reilly! Very cleverly written, and gives a bird's eye view of behind-the-scenes you'd not think of.Those who are condemning this book are clearly making an attempt to deliberately besmirch Bill O'Reilly's name, based on a personal agenda. I don't agree with Bill O'Reilly on all his opinions, but I'm big enough a person to give props where they are due. This is a fine read.
Rating: Summary: Great Job Mr. O'Reilly Review: I was taken aback at first because I couldn't imagine Mr. O'Reilly writing "love scenes." Well done, though, sir. This book is for adults and is in no way comparable to Mr. O'Reilly's justified complaints against rap music that degrades society and the decent people in it, which he so colorfully discusses on his show. That said, this book will take you on a thrill ride. It's well worth your time to read it.
Rating: Summary: I'm a writer, not a leftie Review: I watch The Factor on a regular basis and listen to the Radio Factor frequently as well. O'Reilly's hectoring of his guests sometimes turns me off, but not nearly as much as this book did. He's an intelligent man and, I assume, well-read, but his prose is nothing more than amateurish. Some spin-free words of advice, Bill: Show, don't tell.
Rating: Summary: I don't believe it !!! Review: I'm a big fan of Bill O'Reilly and, although I don't agree with him all the time, admire him very much and think he's a very intelligent person. THAT is why I can't believe he actually wrote this embarrassingly poorly written novel. But, even more than that, why his editors let it slip through without rewriting the amateurish dialogue. When I was about two thirds into it I just gave up and read the last few pages just to "get it over with". I simply don't believe that Mr. O doesn't know how bad it was/is/whatever. It has to be a 'tongue-in-cheek' thing!
Rating: Summary: Great Job, Mr. O...... Review: I'm a big fan of Mr. O'Reilly's in anything he does. This book was very good. Yeah, yeah, a little too much non-fiction thrown in there at times, but overall the plot was thorough and exciting. Like most of us, Bill despises corruption and evil and I think it's perfectly fine for him to write a fictional account of greed and murder. It certainly doesn't make him a hypocrite. It makes him an insightful guy with a great imagination. I see him as a decent, honest man.
Rating: Summary: Only "lefties" give this bad reviews Review: If you can put your ideology aside, you'll enjoy this. Let's face it, some of the nuts criticizing this point to O'Reilly's fight against rappers, and call him a hypocrite for writing a book that features graphic sex. Are they not bright enough to know the difference between this book (targeted at adults only, and he says that ALL the time) and rappers (who target kids only)? Yep, they're not bright enough. Ignore the left, and enjoy life.
Rating: Summary: Incompetence Review: If you like lame, sophomoric writing, with a strong dash of personal bias and enmity thrown in as poorly disguised faux-narrative, this is just the book for you. Ostensibly written by a second-rate intellect, (but surely 'brushed up" by a scrivener with at least a B.A.) I found the prose stupefying, the plot manipulations childishly tedious, and the less-than spectacular ending deducible by the 25th page. It is, however, an accurate commentary on 21st Century America, an island of stupidity in a sea of trivia. A perfect symbol for O'Reilly.
Rating: Summary: Darn Good Non-Political Mystery/Thriller Review: It is really unfortunate that so many seem blinded by ideology,as there IS none to this book.It is well-written,tightly plotted, good characters,no political bent at all. Certainly not off-color,beyond some unmarried protagonists. Just a fine and interesting novel. These political fanatics who dislike the author need to separate themselves from their bias, and evaluate the BOOK. It is a good one.
