Rating: Summary: I found Corran Horn very annoying in this book. Review: What is with this book? The author made Corran Horn to be some omniscient being. He seems to know everything and treats all the other characters like nothing. It's extremely annoying. I knew the book was about Corran Horn, but I didn't expect the author to make the rest of the other characters look so bad. Especially Luke Skywalker. He didn't seem like a Jedi Master in the book, but just some out of place loser. During the book, Corran just seemed to have all the answers for everything. I dont want to read a book about a know-it-all. They didn't need him in the trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson, why do they need him now? This book would have been much better, if it weren't for the fact that Corran Horn is so annoying. If for some reason you're in love with Corran Horn, then buy the book. It is very well written, except I hated the way he made Corran so great.
Rating: Summary: Excellent summary of Jedi Training Review: This book is an excellent continuing of the X-Wing series. If there was a guide to the Force, this would be it.

Rating: Summary: Best Star Wars novel written Review: Fellow Readers, I have read nearly all the Star Wars novels and though many are forgetable, and a few downright awful, "I, Jedi" stands out as probably the best single Star Wars written book to date. The only books that come close are others written by Mike Stackpole, Timothy Zahn or Aaron Allston. The difference is that they are all part of a series, while this novel stands on its own. "I, Jedi", written in the first person, follows a fighter pilot (Corran Horn) who has recently discovered he has the potential to be a Jedi Knight. The sudden disappearance of his wife spurs him to embark on a journey to start his training under Master Luke Skywalker at his new training academy and use his abilities to rescue her. Unlike most books of this type, character development is included in spades as Corran is torn between his strong law enforcement background, his new Jedi instruction at the hand of an unsteady teacher and his desire to search for his wife rewgardless to his level of preparation. His journey has him seeking out his father's past and then infiltrating a band of mercenaries to gain information and access to his wife's captors. Expect personal reflection, detailed action and even some humor. While this book is excellent on its own, it alludes to events which happen in the deeply disappointing "Jedi Academy" trilogy by Kevin J. Anderson. Reading "I, Jedi" without the previous three books will probably leave the reader wondering about the outcomes of plots resolved in the trilogy. The only thing I disliked about the book was that it ended somewhat abruptly and all too soon. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Michael Stackpole fits the Jedi jigsaw puzzle togeather. Review: Am I impressed! Being an avid reader of the X-Wing series, I wait with baited bantha breath for the newest installment. "I, Jedi" did not fail. If you have experienced the mass of information/details/characters that comes from each book, you know it's hard to keep it all straight. What an awesome solution! By telling us what was going on in the Star War's universe while Corran's life unfolds before us, made for awesome continuity. Keep up the excellent work. This well spun tale reflects an author that is a master at his craft. Keep up the good work!
Rating: Summary: Great, Great Book!!!!! Review: This is definetly the greatest book with Corran Horn in it. Corran shows us the inner workings of the Jedi order even better than it was displayed in the Jedi Academy Trilogy. The only thing upsetting about this book is yet another pocket of Jedi hiding out and then suddenly appearing called the Jensaarri. There seems to be force using groups everywhere. Yet, this is an action packed great book with twists and good dialogue. Must read for all Stackpole fans. Even my good friend Palpatine!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Another hit for the Star Wars universe! Review: Michael Stackpole has done an excellent job of bringing one of the 'Rogues' into the limelight. Corran Horn is faced with his greatest challenge ever as he begins the search for his missing wife Mirax, the part-time spy, full-time trader and daughter of the notorious Booster Terrik. His search takes him to the Jedi Academy on Endor...to his homeworld of Corellia and many other exciting places! Read it...you'll love it!
Rating: Summary: Very Interesting, Very Well described, action pact. Awesome Review: This is an awesome book, so much goes on in this book, but it all makes since, and your never confused. The first couple chapters are kinda slow only because they are establishing the backround of the book. This is the best book with Corran Horn in it. It was great.
Rating: Summary: Michale A. Stackpole makes this book flow with intensity! Review: I do admit, I have always been apprehensive about buying franchise books. But there was something that just drew me to buy this book, "I, Jedi". And I am so glad I did. Stackpole's use of first person, combined with his intricate plot and character development--sucks you right it. I read the book in two days! I mean, I haven't even read the X-Wing series. But this book makes you fall in love with Corran Horn, makes you see the humanity in Luke Skywalker, and most of all, makes you want to read more.
