Summary: What About Stargirl......
Review: I began to read this book after my English teacher highly recommended it and I saw how fast my friends were reading it. Well it definetly didn't live up to the hype! Although the concept was different, at the beginning it was kinda cute, but then it just got so boring to the point that i didn't even want to finish reading it. But I gave it a chance and it was still boring. I honestly don't recommend this book to anyone. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. I hope Jerry Spinelli's other books aren't this boring.

Summary: Stargirl
Review: This book is truly one of the best books I have ever read. It's about a girl who has homeschooled all her life and has suddenly decided to go too regular school. Stargirl is different from the others though she wears no make-up, carries a flower bag, and carries with her a rat named cinnamon. Leo the one who is telling the story falls inlove with Stargirl and so does Star girl with him. A romance is born, but everyone else hates Stargirl when she cheers at the basketball games she cheers for both sides. One game, the team lost and ruined its chances to go to the state championship. This loss was blamed on Stargirl for cheering for the other team and she is shunned by everyone. Leo was shunned too so Leo told her that she had to start acting normal. She did turn normal she put make-up on, she got rid of her rat and everything un-normal. You'll have to read the book your self to find out what happens. I don't want to give away the whole book. I would strongly recommend this book, it also has a lot of humor in it. This was truly a good book.

Review: This book is AWESOME. It is about a normal school turned upside down by a freckle-nosed home-schooler and a normal kid named Leo. And together Leo discovers that it is more important to be nice than to fit in with the crowd. A must read!

Review: I found Stargirl an uttery boring book. It began and I was somewhat intrigued then it just dragged on. The characters in the book were completly flat, they went from loving her to hating her in a matter of days. I recommend this book...to um...no one.

Review: I would recommend Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli to anyone, male or female, who appreciates the differences of people.
Stargirl is a bright highschooler (previously homeschooled until the year in which the story occurs) who sings people "Happy Birthday" in the lunchroom on their birthdays with a ukelele, brings her pet rat to school, and sets her desk up with a tablecloth and a flower in a vase. Most people at her school don't appreciate her uniqueness, they think she's weird, but the narrator becomes her friend/boyfriend. They have a special relationship, until the narrator sees what other people think of his Stargirl...
Definitely read this book.

Summary: A Star of a Book
Review: Stargirl, by Jerry Spinelli, is truly the most unique book I've ever read. It's narrated by Leo Borlock, a junior at Mica Area High School. Unfortunately for Stargirl Caraway, at Mica nonconformity is not celebrated but condemned. She is anything but the carbon copy of the average tenth grade girl.
Despite her quirks, Stargirl quickly becomes the most popular girl in school and even joins the cheerleading squad. But everyone begins to get irked when Stargirl not only cheers for Mica, but for the other teams as well! As rapidly as she'd become popular, Stargirl is once again shunned by every student. Everyone that is, except for Leo.
He resents having to choice between Stargirl, and his peers and friends. In a final attempt to set things straight, Leo persuades Stargirl to try to act "normal" and he's shocked by the resulting girl. She's no longer Stargirl, but Susan. As the days turn to weeks and no one seems to know that Susan exists, she slowly morphs back into Stargirl.
Leo is furious with himself for trying to change the very thing that he loved most. This realization comes too late, for when he goes to Stargirl's house to apologize, he doesn't find anyone there, but instead a large For Sale sign looming over the empty house. This time, Leo has lost his soul mate for good.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, especially between the ages of 12 and 15. It's a fairly easy read, but the message is definitely suited for this age group. Stargirl is an amazing story that anyone can relate to because it deals with peer pressure, friendship and love, difficult choices, and many realities of life. Stargirl is one of the best books I've ever read.

Summary: Star girl
Review: The new book star girl really changed the way i look at things. I'm a 13 year old girl that lives in NewYork with hundereds of people living in it but now i look at myself as a princess that revolves around everyone else in an enchanted place deep into my thoughts. This book made me cry and i never had gotten that emotional about a book before.

Review: While I liked this novel it was a bit bland, its people were uninteresting bar 2 and well the end was not very good. Depite this I think for younger readers it has some good lessons about acceptence and being your own person. I would recomend it for under 14 years only.
