Summary: Very Original
Review: I recieved this book from a friend for my birthday,I was reading a book then but when I got around to reading it I found it an excellent story and suggest it to everyone.I was really inspired by Stargirls lack of caring about what anyone thought of her.But ofcourse my being a typical person and not a GOOD person I couldn't change myself at all!Back to basics,I hope you read it and may I take the time to suggest Harry Potter?

Summary: Great Book
Review: Stargirl was one of the best books I ever read!! When Stargirl walks though the doors of Mica High School, she's the only thing people talk about the whole day, with her canavs bag, uklulele, and her mouse. No body wants to be her friend because she was different, untill she started cheerleading, then everybody was her friend. When she started showing as much energy cheering for the other team. Everybody hated her... except Leo, he had fallen madly in love with her. But Leo is forsed to make a choice, Stargirl or Popularty. I recommened this book to anyone who wants to read a good book.

Summary: Stargirl By Jerry Spinelli
Review: Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli is an excellent novel.  Once I picked up the novel,
Stargirl, I had trouble putting it down.  Between the romance and confusion
almost any middle school girl is apt to enjoy this novel.  The student
population at Mica High School isn't divers at all.  When Stargirl starts
attending Mica she stands out because she is 'different'.  Stargirl is then asked to become a cheerleader.  Stargirl is 'shunned' by the student body because she cheers for Mica and the opposing team.  While all of this is happening Leo finds himself confused, should he confess his growing love for Stargirl or go with the majority.  Leo makes a wise choice and they begin dating.  Leo finds some interesting things about Stargirl.  After some time Leo finds that they are gradually fading apart and is having a hard time excepting it.

Summary: A girl at her best.
Review: Star Girl, written by Jerry Spinelli, is a wonderful fiction novel. It is a story about a girl in Arizona who has just come from home schooling to the town's high school. Her name is Stargirl and she has a lot of interesting qualities about her. She wears different clothing then most girls and acts completely different also. She even has a pet rat named Cinnamin. One day in school a boy catches her eye. Even though she is so different there is something about her that he can't stop thinking about. At first she is lonely, then she joins the cheerleading squad and suddenly she was one of the most popular girls in school. Then she does something that makes the cheerleaders turn their backs on her and then she is unpopular again. This boy keeps on seeing and likes her a lot. They finally make it public that they like each other and then before you know it, everyone is interested on how their relationship will work. The ending in this book is amazing. So read the book to find out what happens to Stargirl and her pet rat, Cinnamin.

Book Review

Critical Review of Stargirl
The title of this book called Stargirl . Jerry Spinelli is the author. This typed of book is a fiction story. The category that it falls in is a story/drama. The book is in first person.
The book Stargirl has two charters named Leo and Stargirl. Stargirl was new at her school. She was different compare to every other girl there. When she walked by at school people would stop talking and turn their eyes to her. People wanted to be her friend but they were to shy to talk to her. People were funny when she was around but why??
The book strength was the beginning of the book. It was a narrative- hook and you wanted to read more about it. You wanted to know more about Stargirl.
The weakness of this book was the ending. Some people might like it but I thought it was a slow ending.
Jerry Spinelli is a good author. I like her way of telling the story. She uses a lot of details.
I would recommend Stargirl to people that like to read romance books. Stargirl was not one of my favorites books because it was romantic!

Summary: Review of the Stars
Review: In one word this book could be summed up, different. Usually you don't think of a fictional book being about a high school student, wanting to be different! It makes you look at life from a different perspective. Stargirl spends her hours making life better for everyone else, never thinking about what people think of her, or what might happen to herself. I enjoyed this book very much. I was something unusual for me to read, and enjoyed challenging my viewpoint. This is a great book for girls to read. I hope you enjoy this book.

Summary: Stargirl: possibly one of the best books I will ever read
Review: Although Stargirl was written for a target audience of young teens, the wonderfully realistic story of life, love, and loss told can capture the hearts of older readers, as well. At the risk of possibly offending some, my only complaint (apart from not being long enough!) is the very small amount of what might be called "new age fluff" present in the book. Other than that, in my opinion, Stargirl is absolutely flawless; reading it left me in tears and simply longing for more.

Summary: STARGIRL
Review: Stargirl was an amazing book. It showed me that you don't have to be "normal" to have fun. She was herself and whoever couldnt or wouldnt realize that was just left behind.
Stargirl showed up at a school in arizona for 10th grade after being homeschooled her whole life. She did not cave in to the fads of high school...for a while. Her boyfriend told her that she needed to be normal. The next day, she came to school like any other girl. It broke my heart.
This is a fantastic book, you have to read it!!!!!!!

Summary: To Be or Not to Be.
Review: I absolutely loved STARGIRL. Once I finished reading it, I almost cried. I wasn't able to stop reading it until I had finished. It's a great story with a good message.

STARGIRL is about a girl named Stargirl Carraway who moves into Mica High School and starts a sensation. She dresses in different clothes, plays an ukulele, sings songs to people at lunch, decorates her desk in each class she attends. She is vibrant and full of spirit. The cheerleading squad invites her to join and she soon revives the community spirit of the sleepy town. Nevertheless, Stargirl is a nonconformist. She doesn't fit into anyone else's mold. However, though STARGIRL is about Stargirl, it is not Stargirl's story. STARGIRL is actually the story of Leo Borlock. It is about how he met this girl one day who was unlike anyone else he had ever met in his life. He becomes entranced by her and eventually falls in love with her. However, Leo is a popular student and he eventually has to choose between his love for Stargirl and his love of popularity.

This is a great book. It touches upon the ideas of nonconformity, transcendatlism, and first love. The story is quite engaging and should appeal to readers of both genders and all ages. I highly recommend it.
