Rating: Summary: Repetition - the same concept again and again and again Review: If you learn best by repetition, this is the book for you! He states the same concept, or lunch appointment with "rich dad" over and over again. Sometimes I went back in the book to see if I lost my place, but no, he just keeps on saying the same thing over and over again (didn't I just say that?). I'm disappointed.
Rating: Summary: USELESS Review: Repetitive and rest on investing in real estate to gain financial strength. You need an IQ of 1 to believe this guy.I gave it 1 star because could give a negative number.
Rating: Summary: Good follow up but not quite far enough Review: I enjoyed reading the book and have also read several of Robert's others. This is probably the second best (only to Rich Dad Poor Dad) in the series of books that I have read. I found it intriguing and very thought provoking. It just falls short of giving any real suggestions as to how to get started.
Rating: Summary: This book is about Control Review: This book picks up from where it left off in the Rich Dad, Poor Dad series, and this time the theme is on Control - Control over your emotions, over your team of advisors, preparing for the future etc. Like a lot of previous Kiyosaki's book, key concepts are reiterated over and over again but once again a new light is layered on those "familiar" concepts. For those of you who is tired of his repetitions, you may be tempted to just skim over the book. However, like all his other books, once in a while he will throw in a new concept or a new twist to what he has been saying along. The truth of the matter is that the basic principles are simple but they are profound. Many a times, you may think you "know" the concepts, but are you applying them in real life? Do you remember the first few lessons? Once again, this book may be deceivingly simple but the true lessons lie in the NUANCES of those key concepts.
Rating: Summary: From a Rich Dad Fan Review: I have all of Kiyosaki's books and this is actually the most disappointing. He predicts a depression based on lose information that the middle class is over-investing in mutual funds but regularly argues that they are under-investing or not investing in the funds at all. You can't have it both ways. Alongside contradictory argumentation Kiyosaki repeats himself to distraction and at times gives up on the topic of the book to promote Rich Dad products. There is some good information here for sure, but it could have been printed in a pamphlet.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS NEED TO KNOW INFO Review: Robert has done it again and opened my eyes to see the big picture of wealth and what the rich know that others do not. This book tells why we can NOT rely on our government to take care of us financially especially when it comes to social security, our 401k's, and IRA Investments. We think our 401k's and IRA money will be there when we retire because we invested it ourselves. After reading this book, you'll find out that is not the case. I score this book a five. This is need to know information.
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your time Review: Please don't waste your time. Although Mr. Kiyosaki has some good advice, he has a one track mind. I can tell he had no schooling by the way the book is written. It sounds like it was written by an eighth grader. He also repeats himself so many times. This is really boring reading and he has no real practical advice "in case" you aren't successful.
Rating: Summary: Huh? Review: Hello, If you are all saying he is so right, then are you all moving to China? He preaches what a lousy place the USA might be in 15 to 30 years. Are all of you quitting your jobs and starting to buy houses you won't live in that give you money. And starting businesses that you sell later for a profit. Even if you know what he says, and he's right, 95% of the USA will still get squashed. I think I'm missing something here. Why is this a good thing? Matt
Rating: Summary: In response to the reader from San Lorenzo, CA Review: Just wanted to let you know that Rich Dad's Prophecy was on the bookracks in my area on Oct 6th, well ahead of the Oct 9th release date and I bought a copy that day.Still have the receipt. And I agree with the comments made in that first review posted on Oct 6th. Your comments are a dead giveaway that you a college grad, and come from a "poor dad" mentality.Way too analytical, skeptical and perhaps envious that that reviewer got the jump on you.I highly recommend that you read Robert Kiyosaki's book to change your perception on life and also recommend "The Silva Method" to jump start your right brain (the creative and suggestible side)
Rating: Summary: Repeat Review: I thought this book took forever to get to the point and if you've read his other books a lot was repeated in this one. There were only a few good points.
