Summary: READ ME!!!
Review: Not as good as the rest, but still hilarious! If you ever wanted to see, or read about, Count Olaf in a dress, hypnotized children, lumber mill workers that get paid in coupons, or evil eye doctors, then this is the book for you! LEMONY SNICKET IS AT IT AGAIN!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: This doesn't deserve a star.
Review: Unlike the other books in the series, this book is AWFUL! I am telling ya! It is the worst in the series. If you are reading the series 1 through 9, you should entirly skip this book. It is so terible. Now the best in the series is the 2nd, so read that one instead of this one.

It is about the miserable orphans, and they have to work on this mill, then the young boy, (Klaus), gets hypnotized. His sisters don't know how to research, but they figure it out.

Don't even pick this book up in the first place.

Summary: under-aged workers at a lumber mill
Review: If one wants a book thats full of action, adventure, thrills, and misery then one should get the book the miserebele mill by Lemony snicket. The story bigins with three children named Vilot, Klase, and Sunny their parents died in a horrible fire in the begining of the series. Misfortune seemes to follow them everywhere they go. They have an evil relitive named Count Olaf who is after their fortune. In the biggining of the story they are on this train going to this city named Paltyvill with a banker named Mr. Poe, who is in charge the orphans bank affairs and keeping Count Olaf away. When they got there their gardian is making them work in a lumber mill for 3 years to keep count olaf and his thugs away so its kinda unfair but when vilot comes of age I highly recommend this book I really like it.

Summary: Good, but could be better
Review: I think that Snickett has great talent, however I find this his worst book. There are a few scenes which I find unimaginable, and the characters do not seem to learn anything or change during the course of this book.

Summary: Tongue so firmly in cheek that it must hurt
Review: I am glad that someone has brought wry humor back into children's books - Though I love the Harry Potter series I am glad that this series is around to show the darker side of humor I will be saddened when this series finally ends !

Summary: Mightily Miserable
Review: The Miserable Mill is such a book that offers depth, variety, and, of course, originality. Their new guardian, Sir, is really quite annoying. He really doesn't care much for the orphans and has a major case of self-absortion. Fortunately, Sir has a kind (but cowardly) assistant, Charles. Charles is kind to the Baudelaire (orphans? No, as I'd read in The Unauthorized Autobiography, there is a survivor of the fire) and really takes care of them. The plot takes an unexpected turn when Klaus goes for an "eye check-up" at Dr. Orwell's office. All in all, The Miserable Mill is pretty good, pretty miserable, pretty much a Lemony Snicket book, and that is the best commendation I can give it.

Summary: Treachery at every turn.
Review: Unfortunatly after the fiasco of staying with Aunt Josephine at Lacrymose Lake, Violet,Klaus and Sunny are forced to live and work at the Lucky Smells Lumbermill. The orphans living and working situation is deplorable and dangerous. Not far behind is the very dangerous Count Olaf with another clever and in this case hilarious disguise with a plan to get our beloved orphans fortune. The situation in the mill is very bleak, their new guardian isn't interested in helping the orphans,he is just interested in free labor. His "partner" Charles is a very weak willed person unwilling to help the orphans by taking a stand. Count Ola...uh i mean Shirleys plan consists of dividing an conquering the orphans,by separating them he thinks they won't be able to function as a team, but he underestimates how clever the children are. The M Mill overallhas a lot of intrigue and suspense and action making it a wonderful addition to THE SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. EP

Summary: As always this is another depressing book
Review: This is another depressing book. Of couse, it does not surprise me. Although depressing, this was a good book that I enjoyed reading, and is worth the time. It starts out like anyother, with the children in a car with Mr. Poe, going to another unknown relative. This time they end up at the misreble mill, where they have to work cutting logs. Soon once again count Olaf is after them, and again no one believes the poor orphans. This funny story has plenty of twists and turns to make you hang on till the last page.

Summary: Hypnotism, lumber, and casseroles.
Review: The brightness in The Miserable Mill seems to be turned all the way back down to the level it was at in The Bad Beginning. This story genuinely made me sad for the Baudelaires. Forced child labor at a lumber mill doesn't allow for much humor. Count Olaf only emerges at the end, and his plan is a very strange one that calls for Klaus to be hypnotised. Probably the weirdest of the Snicket books I've read so far.

Summary: least favorite book in this series
Review: this book is definatly the most predictable book so far in this series, and is not the most exciting book either but is still a book that every one who loves this series as much as i do should read
