Summary: Six degrees of separation
Review: This book is better than the Wealthy Barber or any of the Kiyosaki books that are written in this type of "make believe" style.

However I was left with two questions: Where do you get a mentor like the one in the book for free? Not to mention, friends like that? Friends that will work for free and support you unconditionally

2.5 - 3 stars - It has some good points

Summary: Powerful and inspiring
Review: Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hansen have scored another winner with The 1 Minute Millionaire. I have many tapes from Hansen that were promoted by SMI many years ago. And I have read some of Robert Allens books, most notably Multiple Streams of Income, Nothing Down and Creating Wealth.

I'm in network marketing and am h appy to see prominent people like Robert Allen, Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy and others promoting this concept of wealth creation.

As everybody knows by now, The 1 Minute Millionaire is both fictional and non fictional. The fictional part is a story about a mother who must create income quickly. The non fiction part showcases Hansen's and Allen's most famous strategies. As a result this book is both inspiring and educational.

I recommend The 1 Minute Millionaire for anyone. It can change your life.

Summary: If you can be optimistic about life, read on...
Review: I loved the book! its amazing. ofcourse the average person who is cynical and a skeptic might say its all just 'fluff' but if you are an optimistic go getter, knowing that if you take the first step and work hard to get your dreams then this book is for you..especially if you want to get rich, remain rich and share your wealth with those that need it..If you liked the rich dad series of books you will love this too!

Summary: Conceptually OK... lacks some real substance
Review: I heard about this book on a talk show and picked it up just to see what all the hype was about. The concepts in this book are OK, but don't give any real guidance as to how you become independently wealthy. Take for example the section on real estate - I've got to be honest, but I felt as though it was an infomercial for one of the co-author's other books on how to buy and sell real estate.

The book is interesting in its presentation. On the left-hand side of the book is the "how to" on becoming a millionaire while the right-hand side of the book is the same content, but told in a story through the main character of recently widowed woman challenged to make one million dollars in certain time period or risk losing her children to her evil father-in-law. There's your movie right there!

I struggled giving this book 3 stars. The reason is because in the story, one of the ways this woman and her team of millionaire lackeys attempt to make money is SPAM everyone they got business cards from. Any book that directs you to send out an e-mail requesting people's credit card numbers WITHOUT ANY TYPE OF SECURE TRANSACTION - HELLO - ENCRYPTION, ANYONE! - doesn't deserve a high rating. You know what? I changed my mind - this gets 2 stars.

Summary: Inspiring read
Review: This book is a fascinating combination of left and right brain learning. The fiction story, while a bit of a stretch for the imagination at times, kept me interested. The non-fiction, practical information is excellent. This book gave me a lot of ideas for my business which I have been implementing now for several months, and the ideas have really increased my prosperity! I am also in tune with the idea of enlightened wealth- not money for the sake of money, but earning money while being of service and sharing the wealth with good causes.

Summary: Enlightening
Review: This book is a Charter Member of my Self-Help Collection.
If you haven't read it yet, then you are probably still in
the process of getting to where you want to be, rather than
WHERE you actually want to be.

There are a number of KEY books that helped me to develop
the best aspects of myself as a man and as a person. This
book is a classic member of that collection. It is timeless,
universal, and very entertaining (especially because of its
unique 2-books-in-one structure.)

Other books and self-help products which are on par with this book are:

NEW SEX NOW: Life's Ultimate Pleasure
Giant Steps
RICH DAD, POOR DAD
How to Win Friends and Influence People
Self Matters
7 Spiritual Laws of Success
Ageless Mind, Timeless Body
THE 4 AGREEMENTS
The Power of Concentration
GODDESS WORSHIP

I believe that anyone who wants to be a great person would do well to study all of the above very sincerely.

Summary: MUCH TO MY SURPRISE-A small change can make a big difference
Review: A few months ago I saw a book on the Internet, "The One Minute Millionaire". The authors of this book were Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen. I knew of Mark Victor Hansen because of his involvement with the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I was curious about what type of book this would be with Mark Victor Hansen as one of the authors. So I ordered the book.

The weeks past and truly I had forgotten that I had ordered it. I arrived home from work and my husband said a package came for me. Upon opening the package I found the book, plus a CD. The book intrigued me. I started reading it and found it was unlike any book I had previously read. The book is actually two books in one. The left hand pages are theory and the right hand pages are a story. I started reading the book together, but the story got my attention.

The story is one where you think nothing else could go wrong, but it does!! Every free minute I had I found myself wanting to read the book. When I wasn't reading the book I found myself thinking about the story and wondering how it would turn out. Well this morning I finished reading the book, the story part of the book. I read a lot of books, and I can honestly say this book is one that inspired me to write about it.

The book not only teaches principles for becoming independent, it truly teaches good values for life. It uses real life situations and analogies that really do make you think.

One analogy I especially like is:
"The wind might cause a kite to rise, but what keeps it up there is the fact that somebody on the ground has a steady hand. You have to hold steady to your values - your integrity. It's your anchor. You let go of that...well, it isn't long before your kite comes crashing down."

The title of the book, "The One Minute Millionaire" is intriguing but after reading the book the second title, "The Enlightened Way to Wealth" now makes sense to me. Enlightened being the key word!

To sum it up I would say:
It's not all about money,
it's about helping yourself, helping others and giving back.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. And better yet, I hope it sparks an idea or makes you look at how you live your life.

"A small change can make a big difference."

Summary: To Be or Not To Be...Rich!!!
Review: I highly recommend this book. Here's why!:

You have two really good authors in Mark Hansen and Robert Allen. The left and right side of each page follows it's own story. The left side is factual (the nuts and bolts of real estate investing for the novice). The right side is fictional (about a woman seeking how to extracate herself out of a poverty mentality). The topics on each page harmoneously enhance the opposite page.

I enjoy books on real estate investing. I got two books in this one. There's a myth out there that investing in real estate with little or no money down is taking advantage of a seller's unfortunate circumstances. This book shows how to create true Win/Win situations.

This book helps explain the process and how to overcome years of fears and negative thinking to get to a place in life where a person can be better off financially.

If you enjoyed the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books, you'll like this one. If you've enjoyed the excellent and reliable books on real estate investing by Robert Allen, you'll like this one, too. There is nothing out of the ordinary here. It's fact with believable fiction. It is an inspiring book. I bought one for a friend who wanted to get into real estate investing a year ago. He paid me back with a steak dinner when he closed on his first investment property.

Great book. Five stars, easy!

Summary: Unique and Powerful Book!
Review: This book was required reading in my Network Marketing organization, and I had the great pleasure of reading and leading a book discussion on this wonderful book.

Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen have written a synergistic, life-changing book. It's a quick read--most of the sections on the left-hand side of the page are 4 pages long or less--and the lessons are powerful. The right side of the pages (the story side) are compelling. And it's ingenious that they thought to write the book to take advantage of the cumulative effect of symbolism and emotion along with practical information.

If you're more logical and left-brained: The "right side brain" pages are a short story about a young woman, newly widowed, challenging her rich and (rather stereotypically heartless) in-laws for the right to raise her children. Some of the characters' actions will seem illogical and unrealistic. However, if you buy this book I would strongly ask you to suspend the "left brain" belief for a moment to let the core of the lesson come through for you. In the end the short story will further illuminate the lessons on the "Left Hand" pages and will bring them into sharper focus, because you would have put those lessons into practice by visualizing and feeling along with the character.

For the predominantly right-brained (like me): this isn't a heavy book. The sections are short, and the 24 AHA's are especially illuminating and helpful. The rest of the book has great suggestions for creating sources of income (of which Robert Allen is especially famous for), and for integrating those changes within yourself to better yourself and others around you (as Mark Victor Hansen is fond of teaching). After reading the short story, the "left hand" pages will bring everything you learned by "feeling" through the story into even greater focus.

All in all, this is a great book to add to your library. If you've read any of the RichDad series and Robert Allen's Multiple Streams of Income, you'll definitely want this in your arsenal.
