Rating: Summary: The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth Review: What impressed me most about the One Minute Millionaire that it is not just about someone making bundles of money. It is not a book about getting rich quick. This is a book about working hard and earning the right to be called a millionaire. The book also details how every person can make a difference in their life and in the lives of others. How? By giving back to the community and charities. The One Minute Millionaire is a novel that tells a story about a woman, Michelle, who needs to make $1M in 90 days or lose custody of her children. Is it fiction? Could this be done in the "real" world? Could it be done if your life absolutely depended on it? Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen believe that anyone can become a millionaire. So in addition to the novel they have provided a series of practial one minute strategies and principals to guide the reader on their path to enlightened wealth. I found the book enjoyable, enlightening, and practical.
Rating: Summary: Purely enlightening Review: This book fell into my lap in a round about way through a mention in an e-zine at PerfectCustomer.com ..I will be forever grateful that its messages have powerfully impacted my life. I've sat here reading everyone else's reviews and it seems as though those who didn't like it were looking for cold hard facts or quick solutions to becoming a millionaire. What I think makes this book profound is it's not the typical get-rich-quick-remedy. It, unlike most books, takes a very spiritual and enlightened approach to creating a mindset that ulimately creates prosperity. It's all about the attitude. You can have all the tools and resources in the world but if you don't have it right in the inside then it's futile. I personally appreciate the spiritual approach this book takes. And for that reason I can see why perhaps some people may not like it. I can also appreciate that Robert Allen has left a bad taste in some people's mouths with his whole get -rich-quick real estate seminars. I will say that I can see how some people may be leary of things he may promote such as this book for fear that it's not genuine. The book does feel extremely sincere and genuine despite Robert Allen's reputation. I suspect that it's more of Mark Victor Hansen's writings. I will say that I was extremely dissappointed when I drove to Dallas, 4 hours from my home, to a book signing of The One Minute Millionaire (as promoted on the OMM website) only to find that it was one of Robert Allen's real estate seminars. Nonetheless, I still dearly appreciate the teachings in the book. I run a business of aspiring women entrepreneurs and this book has become our bible. If you like the more spiritual appoach to prosperity I highly reccommend "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity " by Catherine Ponder
Rating: Summary: Far Short of the Mark Review: I'm not even sure of how to write a review of this work. My usual methodology for reading anything dealing with motivation or money is to pull out a couple of highlighters, take notes and mark the points of substance when I go back and reread it for a refresher. However, my highlighters stayed capped and the notebook was used for something else. The problem is that there's really nothing here that's not covered in other places in greater detail. I realize that the concept is to change the mindset of people so that they too realize that real wealth isn't unattainable and I applaud this. However, the novel portion is honestly quite sappy and unbelievable. Why not just use some life stories of immigrants who stepped off the plane and became wildly successful here? I don't recall anything of substance from the non-novel portion, either. Assemble a team? Common sense. Make connections? Ditto. Figure out where your money-making talent lies? Also a good idea before you start trying to do anything. Honestly, Robert Kiyosaki's semi-discredited and semi-fictional books really contain more useful principles than this. Ultimately, a book like this is weighed on how useful the information is in regards to achieving the goals of the person reading it. In my subjective opinion, I give the work a one star based on that criteria. The only reason I give it two stars is that I think more people need a counter to the Marxist message that making money and being rich is evil. If you really want to reorient your mindset, spend your money elsewhere, like on Brian Tracy's excellent writings.
Rating: Summary: This Book Changed My Life Review: I could never say enough marvelous things about this book and the integrity of the men who wrote it. I bought this book a couple weeks ago, and already, it's working magic in my life. I'm waking up earlier, I'm happier, I'm on my way to making money, and I feel GOOD about myself. This book isn't just about making money, it's about being a good person, about sharing your success and helping others. Best of all, it's about making money in honest ways through intelligent investing, real estate, the internet, saving and spending wisely. Anyone can do this. And it doesn't cost any money to do what they teach in this book. If you buy this, it will be the best investment you EVER made. =) And for all those fiction lovers out there, Mark and Bob wrote half the book as a novel about a miraculous woman who had nothing and made a million in 90 days to save her children. It's an actual page turner, and it made me cry. But even better than that, this book introduces you to real people. Now I'm talking with other Enlightened Millionaires who have employed the lessons in this book. I'm making it happen...because of this book.
Rating: Summary: The One Minute Millionaire by Allen Review: The author inspires us "to find out how" rather than resign ourselves to believing that we can't afford the best things. The mechanics of financial leveraging are explained, as well as the time-honored tradition of operating with the money of other people. The authors encourage us to attract "the best talent" in order to organize and run businesses of every size. In addition, the concept of networking is equated with the worth of an organization. It is only through contacts that we maximize business opportunities. Lastly, the authors encourage us to take stock of our own wealth and possessions as a condition precedent to moving forward with any business idea. Of course, keep in mind the benefit of utilizing the ideas and experience of other people rather than reinventing the wheel and expending precious time, effort and money.
Rating: Summary: An Exceptional Resoure for Creating Lasting Wealth! Review: I found The One Minute Millionaire to be one of the most innovative and helpful books on personal finance that I have ever read. Few people would fail to benefit from reading this book. The One Minute Millionaire is actually a three part resource. The first part comes from the fable that is printed on the right hand pages of the book, which deals with a woman about to lose her children unless she can create a million dollars in 90 days. The second part is the material on the left hand pages of the book which analytically breaks down and describes the steps followed in the fable. The third part is a web site with tests you can take and other resources to help you apply the detailed learning on the left hand pages. As I started the book, I was a little confused by the format. I tried to read the left page, then the right page, then the next left page, then the next right page and so on. Pretty soon, I decided I needed to stick with one or the other and the fable seemed more interesting than the details. So I read all of the fable and went back and read the details, and then went to the web site. I recommend that order for most people. The fable helps you feel motivated to change. Its details are provided in a way that is less threatening than the detail on the left hand pages. Then, feeling motivated, you'll rush to learn all of those other details. The book gives the choice of making your million quickly or slowly, and then gives you lots of ways to do both. Naturally, almost everyone will want the fast route. These choices mostly boil down to starting a business, real estate and internet marketing. I thought that the sections on real estate and internet marketing were better than the section on starting a business. You get a brief summary of Robert Allen's best work on real estate and the internet in the book. So if you haven't read his books on those subjects, you can probably save time and money by previewing them here. Everyone will need to read more, study more, get help and get active to follow this book . . . but you need something to kick start you. For that, it?s hard to imagine a better method than reading The One Minute Millionaire. I always gauge a book like this by the number of ideas I get that I want to act on the next day. I woke up at 3 a.m. full of plans that will take me several weeks to follow through on. That's a huge return from taking the time to read the book. I hope you will find it even more stimulating than I did. May you soon live your dreams!
Rating: Summary: Motivated - I can do this too! Review: I have read many books and taken courses in self-improvement, overcoming fears etc. and all of them have the same thing in common. They all list a variety of ways to change ones habits, how to set goals, work on self-talk to overcome negativity and each of them has helped to some extent. This is the first book that addresses the issues from both the left-brain and right-brain learning perspective. For me, Michelle's story was easy to read, inspiring and I had no problem imagining myself in her situation. A wonderful book that encouraged me to start again in reaching for the "brass ring" after suffering a devastating loss. If it does only half as much for others after they read the book, then we will have many 'millionares' contributing to the betterment of our world.
Rating: Summary: A powerful message worth reading over and over Review: The 1 Minute millionaire is an outstanding book with a powerful message that is worth reading over and over and over again. This book will help take you to where you want to be financially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Great book.
Rating: Summary: regurgitated crud. Review: one of the most worthless books i ever bought. save your money for "multiple streams of income" instead.
Rating: Summary: Great Book With a Fantastic Message Review: Hi. I came within inches of bankrupcy, and this book is making all of the difference in my life! Divided into two parts, it helped me build an emotional appreciation of what could be done, and then gave me a plan/formula I could use to make things happen in my life. After only a couple of weeks, I'm well on my way out of the hole, and into permanent financial security. To top it all off, I'm happier than I can remember being in decades. Thank-you Mark Victor Hansen!
