Rating: Summary: Meg Cabot's Best Book!! Review: The third book in the Princess Diaries series, Princess in Love documents the life of Mia Thermopolis, a timid teenager in love. In the first book, she finds out that she is princess of a small country in Europe, Genovia. In this newest third book, Mia is introduced to Genovia, has to deal with her mother's illegitimate pregnancy and being a royal in love with a genius. There is a surprise ending that you do not want to miss!I can say without a doubt that this is one of the best books I have ever read. It is witty, honest and full of surprises around every corner. For two days straight, I did could not put down this book; I even blew off some homework just to read. I enthusiastically recomend this book to any reader, especially those who love the writing of Meg Cabot; this is her best book yet!
Rating: Summary: the others are better Review: This book was OK, but it wasn't the best. I didn't find myself laughing very often, like in the other ones. If you want a really good laugh, read the first two books.
Rating: Summary: If you want a good book with emotion, humor, and fun, read! Review: The day I bought this book, I was wearing a shirt that looked exactly like the cover. But that's not the point. The point is that I finished it while on a class trip to Canada during the three-hour bus ride. The ending is really sweet and totally moving, because it speaks to kids about how being different can sometimes, more often than you might think, can be a good thing. However, I cannot tell you what that is yet! You'll have to read it for yourself!
Rating: Summary: A good edition to the series Review: Princess In Love, the 3rd book of the great series The Princess Diaries, was great. If your looking for a light read, you've come to the right place! Mia Thermopolis is back again, and now with a whole NEW set of problems. She finally has a boyfriend, Kenny, but he isn't exactly what she wanted. She finds herself pining away after Michael, her best friend Lily's brother. Will Michael and Mia ever find love, and will Mia ever cope with being a princess? Find out in Princess In Love. I liked this book the best out of the 3 because it tied up a lot of loose ends and it had the happy ending I was going for. :) I'm anxious to see what happens in the 4th book, Princess In Waiting. If you want a quick read that will make you laugh, then this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Perfect Winter Reading Review: Meg Cabot returns readers to the wonderfully hilarious world of Mia Thermopolis, Albert Einstein High freshman and, oh yeah, Crown Princess of Genovia. Following the narrative in the two previous Princess Diaries, Book 3 takes place in December. Mia finally has her long-awaited boyfriend, but he isn't her prince. That would be her lifelong, unattainable crush, who, in the meantime, appears to have found a girlfriend, a brain who can probably do the algebra Mia can't. But Mia is WAY too busy to deal with that just now. She's prepping for her formal introduction to the Genovians on Christmas Eve - and dealing with her finals. More Mia misadventures ensue, such as: - finding "meaningful" holiday gifts - finding a way to break up nicely - avoiding a disaster-waiting-to-happen political protest - suspecting her fashion-designer cousin of wanting to usurp the throne - find a date to the Nondenominational Winter Dance and - find out who her Secret Snowflake is. She actually looking forward to getting away to Genovia. Even with her jam-packed royal schedule, THAT is starting to look like a vacation compared to her life in Manhattan. This third book is as sweet as the first one and a nice recovery from the strange, chaotic second volume. This one returns to more solid ground by focusing on Mia and her choices. The whole princess thing is fantastical, but her adolescent crises and dramas sound all too familiar. They resonate with a ring of truth that all girls will understand on some level. That's what makes these books worth at least a look. Mia's voice is excellently presented in these adorable diaries that will have you finishing them in one sitting, but will have you returning to be refreshed whenever you need a little pick-me-up. Looking forward to the fourth book!
Rating: Summary: Best Book in Series So Far! Review: I really like to read the Princess Diaries books, and they are one of my favorite series. Book three is one of the best books in the series so far. Despite the fact that she is a princess, Mia is still trying to be a normal teenager, but she finds it hard when there is always someone who wants to interview her, reporters following her everywhere she goes, people who only like her becuase she is a princess, and she STILL has to take princess lessons with Grandmere every day after school. And, to make matters worse, Mia has a boyfriend. Thrilling, right? Sure, but the problem is, MIA DOSN'T LIKE HIM BACK!!! She is still totally in love with Micheal, her best friend Lily's older brother. This was just another fantastic book in the series! And the ending was VERY surprising- something you'd never expect to happen! I eagerly (and impatiently) await the release of the fourth book, Princess in Waiting".
Rating: Summary: The Princess Diaries Review: When you hear the title, The Princess Diaries, most people automatically assume it's a girls' book. However, it is a great book for all kids to read because it brings up issues most teenagers face. Amelia Thermopolis also known as "Mia" is a teenager is a teenager that just found out that she is the princess of Genovia. Mia has a big crush on a very popular guy that she wouldn't have a chance with. Her parents are divorced; she lives with her mom, an artist. But these are the least of her problems. Little does she know that her dad is the prince of Genovia. Therefore, she is the princess. Mia has a best friend named Lily. She has also has a grandmother on her fathers' side which tries to turn Mia into princess material. Mia's grandmother has to do quiet a bit of work since Mia is not a very petite young lady. Mia doesn't make it any easier on her either since she is absolutely against the idea of her being a princess. Mia gets very upset when she finds out that she is a princess. Her parents knew that she was a princess they had just been hiding it from her for her entire life. Mia finds this very upsetting and refuses to be a princess because she thinks that she is already enough of a "freak" adding a tiara wouldn't help, it would make it worse. Her father ends up trying to briber her into it which ends up working. However, Mia doesn't want the bribe for her, what her dad is bribing her she is having him give to what she is most dedicated to and wants to be when she grows up. Mia goes through quiet an adventure finding out that she's a princess, not being able to tell anyone that she is a princess not even her best friend, and her dad making her go to "princess lessons" with her grandmother being the teacher, every single day after school. With all of her princess issue's going on she also has to keep up with school. Having a bad grade in algebra doesn't help. The book The Princess Diaries obviously got its' name from the main character Mia being a princess with her diary that she is supposed to write in. She writes down all her thoughts and everything that happens and it is what is being read so the book is told through her eyes in her perspective. The author of this book did an excellent job of explaining Mia's feelings. Meg Cabot, the author, wrote this book thinking of her readers, she made is easy to read and understand. This book is also out on video.
Rating: Summary: For a light fiction, it's great Review: ...but it's not a classic or anything. Still, Mia's so awesome: she's a princess, but a normal girl just the same. She's so real that she opens up our imaginations--what if you or I were a princess really? (By the way, read GREAT EXPECTATIONS for a great story about this type of thing.) However, I wish people would stop telling me it is for the over-twelve audience. I'm ten, I liked it and understood it and I'm not "tainted" by a few "PG" references. A more mature reader might not like it as much, because it is really a light book. It's funny the first time, silly the second time, and boring after three. So read it, and don't shy away if people tell you you aren't old enough.
Rating: Summary: Other good books Review: If you liked this book, you will also love "A New Life" by Pamela D. Light
