Summary: I'm Sorry, These Just Aren't Interesting Anymore
Review: I don't know whether Meg Cabot has exhausted every possible joke about 34A cup Mia Thermopolis or if I have just outgrown her humor, but I do know that I only laughed once the entire time I read this book.Let's backtrack for a sec.. Mia is fourteen and has only recently discovered she is the heir to a small European country called Genovia. She's not quite cut out for the job: Big feet, bad hair, and vegetarian are traits not necassarily princess-y. Despite various efforts by her Grandmere, Mia is still awkward and resistant to her position as princess. I don't know about you, but if I had always been the high school geek and were suddenly the heir to a European principality AND my mother were having my algebra teacher's baby AND my best friend were some irritating psychoanalyzing pug-like person, I'd be a little more interested in change. But my personality is relatively open to change, so perhaps I am reading the wrong books these days. That known, Mia is now dating her nerdy Bio partner Kenny, whom she loathes but holds onto because she's failing most of her subjects and because of social pressures. Well, Mia's always loved her best friend Lilly's brother, Michael. Now okay.. the title is Princess In Love and we know she's sending him anonymous love notes. Plus most of us have also seen the movie already as well. Can't you guess how it's going to end? I'm sorry, but I just didn't think it was funny. I didn't think it was an interesting concept since it's identical to Louise Rennison's or Meagan McCafferty's works. As much as I would like to come here and rave about Princess In Love, I must say that I just don't like the series anymore. Of course, I didn't like "Jenny Carroll's" (that's Meg Cabot, too) books at all, and she seems to have tapped into the personalities of the characters from her 1-800-Where-R-U series. ...

Summary: Definately The Best In The Series!
Review: Mia Thermopolis is a likeable 14 year old girl faced with the normal, everyday traumas of teenage-hood. However, there is one little difference between Mia and every other kid her age. Mia is a princess. What country is she the princess of exactly? Why, no other than Genovia, a small European country with the population of 50,000. That's no matter, though. She's still the princess and has to live up to the expectations of her frightening Grandmere. (The queen of Genovia - trust me, she's not the everyday, nice old grandma that you're ucustomed to - with tatood eyeliner. Grandmere has no tolerance for poor Mia during her dreaded princess lessons.) In the 1st book - THE PRINCESS DIARIES, before Mia had any clue of her hidden fate - she was very unpopular. The meanest girl, Lana Weinberger and her cheerleading friends, constantly taunt her on account of her frizzy hair, huge feet, major height (five foot nine) and many other unpleasant factors. Her crush (don't worry, it doesn't last for long) Josh - the tall jock type, obviously Lana's boyfriend - pretty much ignores her. The only nice person is her best friend Lilly Moscovitz. Mia is flunking algebra, while her mother is dating her algebra teacher, Mr. Giannini. After her being a princess is announced, thing go a bit for the better...and the worse. After humilating her at a dance (was a nasty trick), she decides Josh is not worth her time, let alone any other of the populars. It's then that she begins to fall in love with Lilly's older brother - Michael. The second book - PRINCESS IN THE SPOTLIGHT - consists of many more stuggles to fit in, her mother and the dreaded algebra teacher are getting married, school's ups and downs, anonymous love letters and finally, on Holloween, something good happens. Mia is told by Michael that he thinks that she looks pretty. She is also finally asked out by Kenny (the love letter giver). During PRINCESS IN LOVE it's Mia's turn to give anonymous love letters - to Michael. Poor Mia, Michael is dating Judith (who can clone fruit flies). On a skating trip, Mia falls in front of both of them with a bleeding tounge and a icky feeling. Something funny happens to Mia one day. She was invited to the computer lab by Michael, and he shows her to a computer desk. She waits while the screen comes up and sees a message: Roses are red, violets are blue, you may not know it, but I love you to. Shocked, Mia runs off and her and her friend (Tina Hakim Baba) try to figure out what it could mean. Mia is also summoned to present herself to the Genovians over winter break. So how will it all work out? Well, you'll have to read this terrific book yourself to find out!

Summary: It Took Ages
Review: I read Princess Diaries 1 before the movie, Princess diaries 2 after and then anxiously awaited the third volume that was supposed to be out in March according to MegCabot.com. I finally got the book. Read it in one sitting and now I re-read the third book seeing as how I loaned the first to a friend in the next town and the second to a little girl in England.
Buy the books and enjoy Mia's haphhasard life as much as I did.

Review: What a book! It ended in the perfect way ! I recently found out Meg Cabot is going to continue the Princess Diaries series. The next book will be "Princess in Waiting" I knew Meg wouldn't leave us hanging ! Anyway this Book is great if you've read the first two I strongly recommend "Princess in Love". It has the most heart-warming ending that will make you believe that Mia's entries are from your best friend !

Review: I've been an absolute fan of these books from the start and readers of the other books (The Princess Diaries, Princess in the Spotlight) will find it as delgihtful and fun as the first two in the series that will hopefully have many more installments.
As Mia delves deep into the problem of not liking the boyfriend she's got (and being head over heals for the one she can't have), she works her way through many delightful and terribly true-to-life teenage experiences mixed with a charming 21st century version of pauper to princess experiences that are so realistic, Cabot will have you thinking you've got the story of a real-life princess in your hands as you read.
As an 8th grader, there is nothing that could be more fun and entertaining that I can read. A whooping five stars for a book that I read in an afternoon...when I was supposed to be doing my social studies report--it's that good. Be sure you don't have anything planned the afternoon you pick this book up! -Lia

Review: this one was certainly not as good as the first, but when has a sequel truly met the standard set by the first. in anycase, most of the book is about mia thinking that her love for her best friend's older brother is hopeless and at the same time she is too nice to dump her boyfriend who she never liked nor wanted to be with in the first place. but just a piece of advice, don't read it till you've read the first two. but meg cabot remains ever so witty with her comments. but at the same time ,there are moments where she seems to be trying too hard to sound like a high schooler. but all in all, its a fun read. quite enjoyable i must say. only thing that bugged me was that the whole book was crammed into less than 3 weeks. a lot of stuff happened in those three weeks. the end was somewhat satisfying although there was not enough time dedicated to resolution. it was like climax and a couple of pages to wrap it all up. didn't like that. but still, like i said, if you've enjoyed the other two, its a fun read. it goes really quickly though.

Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: This was such a funny book. I had read the other 2 books before this one and this was a near perfect wrap up to this saga. The ending was a little to perfect but it was extremely heart-warming and my the end of this series I felt like Mia was really one of my friends and I felt an odd sense of happienessn for her. I definately recommend this book to any girl who likes love stories!

Review: Mia is a typical teenager, except she just found out she is a princess!!! Well, after having all sorts of problems with her love life and everything else in her life, according to her. Anyway, Mia has an extremly large crush on her best frineds older brother,Michael, EXCEPT she has a boyfriend! Who she doesnt even like very much. he is sweet, but she cannot like him as much as he likes her because poor Mia loves Micheal!!! But since Michael is a senior and Mia only a lowly freshman, how can she possibly get him with only her tall, flat chested body and size 10 shoes? to top it off, she has to study for all her finals (and bring her Algerbra grade up!!) AND prepare to meet everyone in genovia in like 2 weeks!!!
this story will make you laugh, as you see how hard Mia will go to let Micheal know how much she likes him, even if that means breaking up with her boyfriend!! if you liked the princess diaries or even basiclly any other book on the planet, you will love this!!!!!!!!!!! ~Aleks

Summary: A Must-Read Title
Review: This book is one of the most well-written novels I have read in a long time. Mia Thermopolis is a character that you will never forget! It is helpful to read the first 2 books before reading this volume, though. I definetly recommend this book to anyone looking for a pretty easy, entertaining story. It's almost like reading notes from your pal at school. The ending is the best part of this particular volume, so you have to read it!!!
