Summary: Class ranking can be deadly!
Review: Keith Andrews is the valedictorian of Elk Park Prep School, where caterer Goldy Bear's son Arch attends. When Keith is found dead, the supposedly tranquil environment of the school is shattered. Goldy suddenly finds herself surrounded with frantic parents whose main goal in life seems to be to get their child into the best college possible. Dirty tricks abound as Goldy's house and vehicle are vandalized and her boarder Justin finds a dead snake hanging in his locker. Goldy's love interest, homicide detective Tom Schulz is concerned for her safety and he urges her to stop investigating the murder. As usual, Goldy ignores his advice and soon finds herself in danger. The characters in this series are being nicely developed in this third entry, and this book offers up the usual tasty read by author Davidson.

Summary: Great Book - But Don't Read It While Your Hungry!
Review: This is an excellent mystery. Diane Mott Davidson has done a great job of grabbing your attention and not letting it go.

Goldy, a caterer in Colorado, seems to have the most trouble everytime she ends up catering an event. This time the story revolves around a plot related to the unreasonable attitude that some parents develop about getting their children into college.

Everytime you think that you can put the book down for a break something else happens to poor Goldy. This is a great read! Just don't read it while your hungry!

Summary: Great recipes! 3 Star Story!
Review: This is one of Diane Mott Davidson's series of culinary mysteries with Goldy the caterer. This one deals with the murder of the valedictorian of the prep school. Goldy discovers him when she is packing up the catering van after a college information night/event. The story focus is on the pressure of getting into the "right" college. The pressure is on the students, their parents and the administrators and teachers. The question is, who will sink to any level to achieve what they believe they deserve. While the storyline was a bit stark for me, the recipes were excellent. The Chinese Beef stir fry, the Biscotti, Red n Whites, and the Galaxy Doughnuts were just a few of the excellent choices. Some of her other books that I really enjoyed were, Main Corpse and Prime Cut, and then Tough Cookie.

Summary: A Tasty Read
Review: When Goldy Bear, owner of Goldilocks Catering, caters a college prep dinner at Elk Park Prep school she gets more than she bargained for when after the dinner she finds the murdered body of the school's valedictorian. Things only get stranger from that moment on as Goldy the caterer tries to solve the mystery and keep up with the threats to her and her family.

The Cereal Murders was a good read. It is suspenseful and full of mystery right up to the end. The characters of Goldy, Arch, Julian, and Tom are very well developed and connected. They seem like people next door. They are very believable and dimensional. The storyline was good and moved along at a fast pace. It was easy to keep reading because the events and happenings flowed easily from one to another.

This was my second Goldy book and I was not disappointed. A good book to read for the mystery lover!
