Rating: Summary: The Perfect Gift for an Engaged Couple Review: This is a very fun book. I picked it up on a lazy weekend while staying at someone's house during an out-of-town speaking engagement. I have never laughed so hard. Reiser's no-holds-barred humor hits the mark and is a should be read together by couples. His observations of the nuances of marriage make this the ultimate engagement gift. To date, my wife and I have sent a dozen or so newly-engaged couples a copy of this gem.
Rating: Summary: Funny read Review: This was a funny book about relationships. Everyone should be able to relate to this book at some point or another.
Rating: Summary: Classic, down-to-earth humor Review: Where to start....hmmm. From good times to bad ones, this book is for anybody that would like to get a little laugh from their own, or others', relationships. Paul Reiser does an outstanding job laughing at, and with, us in our everyday lives trying to live with someone. Pointing out every possible quirk imaginable to man, he still sees the bright side of relationships. To sum up this book would be nearly impossible. It simply states, to me, that if you have a relationship, you'll have good and bad times....just make the best of it, no matter what
Rating: Summary: Very funny, "gentle" humor. Review: With very few unfunny sections, this is a clever and often hilarous version of Paul's stand-up act. This can be considered gentle humor, in that there's nothing really remotely offensive about any of the bits. Even his wife is portrayed in an intensely loving fashion. I'm not really a fan of Mad About You, but this is a winner.
Rating: Summary: Hysterical and right on the money! Review: You can almost hear Paul Reiser's vocal inflection as you read the book, and it makes it even funnier (unlike some books by other comedians whose humor just doesn't translate to books). I saw myself and my significant other in several of his bits and just laughed myself silly the whole way through. Even if you get tired of watching Mad About You, you'll still enjoy this book. I'm going to go read it again.
