Rating: Summary: The Best Book I've Read In A Long Time Review: I read this book last year and I liked it so much I wanted to review it. I picked it up thinking I would skim through it to refresh my memory. I ended up reading it again from cover to cover. It's even better the second time. I love the ingenuity of David Elliot. The action is non-stop and the ending is extemely satisfying. I hope Mr. Garber brings back David Elliot in future books
Rating: Summary: Fun! Review: Like most (all?) of the reviewers, I really enjoyed this thriller. What I liked most about it was the plausible explanation for why everyone wanted Dave dead.
The perfect vacation book
Rating: Summary: This book tells you all that the main charactar nows. Review: What I most liked in the book was the way it was written; the author follows his character from inside his brain. What he sees, you see; what he thinks, you know. There are no new characters coming up in the last five pages of the book. Plus, the subject of this book is not just sensless distruction, and killing the enemy isn't neerly going to get Dave P. Elliot out of trouble. He'll have to count on twenty five year old skills to get out of this one, the same skills that he's tried to forget for the same, long, twenty-five years.
Rating: Summary: Can't wait for more Review: Very well-written. So riveting that it is likely to be
one sitting.
Rating: Summary: Home Alone for adults Review: Dave Elliott is an adult version of Kevin in Home Alone who
is after all of the bad guys who are trying to kill him for
reasons unknown. The backdrop is a fifty-story building just
perfect for all of his adult booby-traps. Could there be
a Vertical Run 2 in the future?
Rating: Summary: Good Review: It's really good
Rating: Summary: Heart pounding excitement! Review: Your boss tells you that you are fired. Your spouse wants a divorce.
Those are "nothings" when you compare it to the sort of day
Dave Elliot has in "Vertical Run."
This was a "can't put down" type of book. Why is Dave's boss
out to kill him? Why does Dave's wife seem to turn on him?
And why does his son no longer believe in him? Just what is
going on??
"Vertical Run" is suspenseful, keeping the reader engrossed and
not revealing the reason for Dave's troubles until just near
the end of the book. Dave is in a run for his life, but both
he and the reader do not know why. When you have finished reading,
you will know why your heart is pounding, when you have not
left your favorite reading chair!
And by the way, make sure you read all of the book.
'Nuff said.
Rating: Summary: You will read this book all in one night Review: Start before 11 pm and finish by 2 am. Great fun. I can't wait for the movie - it could surpass "Die Hard."
Rating: Summary: Fantastic, Pulse Pounding, Rivoting Read Review: You wake up in the morning, roll over and kiss your wife goodbye.
You jog to the office and take a shower. The next thing you know, everybody you know wants you dead.
That is exactly what happens in this suspenseful, pulse-pounding book. I have never read a book
with more action. I broke into a sweat just reading it. This book will keep you up all night long until
you finish it and you will be glad to do it. If a book bristling with sheer adventure and action,
chocked full of good suspense and rip-roaring good times is what your after, then this book is a
number one priorty for you.
