Summary: Dave Elliot is about to have a VERY bad day!
Review: Dave Elliot woke up as usual. He completed his normal morning routine. AND THEN HE GOT TO WORK... Dave Elliot is about to have a VERY bad day! Greeted by his boss...who pulls a gun on him. Trying to escape, he finds two hitmen... He's Trapped on the 45th floor of his office building. His wife wants him dead, his son wants him dead, EVERYONE wants him dead... AND HE DOESN'T KNOW WHY... The book basically describes how he tries to escape... The idea is good, but it just makes too predictable of a story. However, it is still a good read...

Summary: The Best Action Book I've Ever Read
Review: There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe this white-knuckle story of action and adventure. In what classes as the best fast paced action thriller ever written, Garber has managed to mesh together the perfect blend of physical action and technical intrigue. A movie on this novel will be made, it is perfect for it. If done right it would become a classic. The authors word skill is such that I didn't read this book, I visualised it. Every sentance added another detail to the movie in my head.

The booby-trapped stairs must go down as some of the most entertaining writing ever. A sequel would be fantastic, but could it live up to this impossibly high standard? This is a must read! I work in a bookstore in Melbourne Australia and we find it hard to keep on the shelf, largely because I keep reccomending it to anyone that comes through the door!

Summary: Start this book early in the afternoon
Review: because you may find yourself reading the whole thing in one sitting! I started around 8 PM one evening and didn't sleep until later the next day when the book had been finished and I had calmed myself enough to go to bed! Joseph Garber has woven an involving psychological thriller that is sure to win over anyone who likes suspense novels. Vertical Run is an easy read, and the action flows smoothly the whole way through. Before you know it the book will be over and you will have to return to your not-so-exciting life, so enjoy it while you can!

Summary: Get Ready For Some Great Action
Review: This book was good and action-packed. However, at times, it did seem to lull a bit with detail. But other than that, it was a good book

Summary: Equal to an adrenaline injection
Review: "Vertical Run" is like a non-stop, action packed, roller coaster ride. You'll be gripped within the first few pages and you won't put it down until you're finished. With plausible science fiction, ingenious pacing, and an amazing twist at the end, "Vertical Run" will keep you begging for more. Hey, I read it in a day. Enough said

Summary: Really really good
Review: I don't know about you, but this book freked me out. It was all thrilling, and a lot of action, but it is FREAKY. At the end. It was a little not clear.-Alex

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good Action, Thrills and Intrigue
Review: Though this isn't quite in the top tier of suspense novels, it is a very entertaining read. Admittedly, it is rather shallow; your life won't be changed by this book. But what it lacks in depth it makes up for with astounding plot twists and (usually) believable action. Action fans will love it, mystery/suspense fans will enjoy it but it likely won't make their "must-read" list. I'm looking forward to more novels by Garber.

Summary: Corporate guerrilla techniques at their finest !!
Review: A real treat to read. Ransome never imagined his target would be so quickly transormed from a successful business executive into a lethal killer. The term "Extreme Prejudice" could have been coined after this book. That's certainly what Dave gave them

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great "read" - keeps you wondering
Review: From the start keeps you wondering WHY? Easy to read, a little slow in the middle and too "pat" of an ending but surprised I haven't heard about a future movie of the plot

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Gut-churning, tongue-swallowing, chest-thumping action
Review: Garber takes what has recently become a formula genre and adds an explosive new plot idea that ultimately reads like a Die Hard flick. It is impossible to put this book down, since the action never reaches a zone of safety, and even the most ironcast soul couldn't sleep with the plot unresolved. The sheer mystery of the novel, as well as Garber's Clancy-esque military prowess combine with a light romantic element to make even the most discriminating reader slide to the edge of his pillow
