Summary: Great book after an unrealistic start.
Review: In this departure from the John Ryan series, Clancy develops a really great character in John Kelly. The action is non-stop and the supporting characters are mostly believeable. Two things keep this book from being a 10. First, Kelly picks up a stranger and falls in love with her -- right after being devastated by the tragic death of his pregnant wife. Second, the sub-plot of Kelly leading a raid in Viet Nam seemed to be a very elaborate way to set up the book's ending. The Viet Nam raid actually went nowhere. Other than those two points, a great book

Summary: Half way to being good.
Review: This book has some excellent parts to it. I really enjoyed learning about Clark and his past. However, the main problem I had was all the build up to the POW mission resulting in a total let down. When I read Clancy I look for build ups to big action sequences. I understand that the big Special Forces raid that occurred in North Vietnam in the latter stages of the war was also a big failure, but this is supposed to be a fictional account of a different raid. I would much rather have seen it not go down at all, than have everyone get into place and just have Clark make a high-speed command decision and just call it all off. I just feel as though I paid attention to a lot of the build up only to feel like I wasted my time reading it

Summary: My favorite Clancy novel
Review: I love the Jack Ryan series, but they are getting a little unrealistic. Without Remorse is classic Clancy. Smart, realistic, absolutely captivating. Clancy is unforgiving in his portrayal of Mr. Clark. He refuses to tell the reader whether Clark is a good guy or bad. You have to decide

Summary: Action Packed
Review: This was an oustanding Clancy work. It's proven to be one of his best. Non-stop action and plot from start to finish. Truly reccommend this book to any action/suspense fiction readers.

Summary: For anyone who is a Clancy fan, this is a must read.
Review: Although I've read all of Clancy's books, this is probably my favorite. It takes you inside the life and history of John Clark, the mysterious hero of many of Clancy's novels. This portrayal of his trevails explains how Clark is able to operate so effectively under pressure as a CIA special operative. Definitely a must read- it will make you want to read it again as soon as you are finished. Additionally, for anyone who finds the technical nature of some of Clancy's novels hard to decipher, this is written more for the techno-novice

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best in Series, should be NC-17 movie
Review: Although they seem to never be as good as the books, I wish they'd make a movie of this, my favorite clancy book. This one makes you feel the emotions of the protagonist more than any book I've read. If you like vigilante stories, this one is the best, you dont have to read any other clancy novel to get a good read out of this one

Summary: Excellant!!!!!!
Review: Without Remorse is THE ultimate Mr. Clark story, involving this Navy SEAL battling the crime of inner-city Baltimore and in the jungles of Vietnam. Not like Clancy's other novels, but still great in its own way. Read it, because it's essential if you're a Clancy fan or a fan of the genre

Summary: Tom Clancy... There is no substitute.
Review: This is perhaps the best example of Tom Clancy's incredible character development. The main character, John Kelly, a.k.a. Mr. Clark, leaps off the page larger than life! It is an incredible account of how this fascinating character came to be, and of his unyielding moral code that drives him to do what no one else will, or could. Powerful, intense, emotional are the immediate words that come to mind to describe this dynamic novel. Action packed, and touching, it is truly Tom Clancy at his finest

Summary: Clancy at his best!
Review: Tom Clancy has a way of pulling you into his stories. You are not allowed to forget for a moment that attention to detail is the key. Clancy spins his story of John Kelly into an unforgetable precedent to the characters appearance in his other novels. You follow Kelly's life: his endeavor against drug kingpins, military op's, and romance. The technical descriptions alone will catch the attention of any former military personnel, or the average do it yourselfer. This is the one book by Clancy that you will not want to miss.

Summary: Simply an excellent book
Review: Without Remorse, finally, delves into the character of John Kelly (i.e., John Clark). It was a fascinating tale that, once started, was impossible to put down. I especially loved what he had Clark do to the drug lords and how he intimidated the kid who sabotaged the POW rescue mission. This is his only good one since Clear and Present Danger. This was a real page-turner
