Rating: Summary: An Excellent Entry by Tom Clancy Review: Without Remorse is the kind of book that Clancy Fans have wanted since The Hunt for Red October, and especially Patriot Games debuted. John Kelly/Clark raises many questions about ourselves. How far would you go to avenge those that you love, and where does justice begin?
I highly recommend this book for its realistic portrayal of events that undoubtedly have a basis in someone's life story
Larry S. Buchanan Jr.
Rating: Summary: If there was an 11 I'd give it. Review: "The best book I have ever read", sums it up. John Clark does in this book, secretly, what this country needs to have done to drug dealers and crack heads. I'll always think of this book when I hear the name Archie and Jughead.I have had numerous, non reading, friends become obsessed with this book.
Rating: Summary: Mr. Clark is the American James Bond. Review: Without Remorse is the best Tom Clancy novel I have read thus far. John Kelly is the most interesting character I have ever read about in a book. The novel portrays the inner workings of the government as most people believe them to be and John Kelly is the hero people have been waiting for.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Clancy book Review: One of the few times you can root for violence, meanness and even evil. A story of revenge that eventually gives a background to one of my favorite Clancy characters. All throught the book you know these things shouldn't be happening, but you want them to anyway and you just can't wait to see what turns are around the corner. A must read !
Rating: Summary: Without Remorse is one of Clancy's best! Review: This time Tom Clancy outdid himself. Iv'e read the book three times and I'm on my fourth. Each and every time I find myself unable to stop.
Rating: Summary: Great Book...A Must Read! Review: It has been many years since I read this book but it still as vivid as ever in my mind. Being the only Tom Clancy book I have read yet, it has given him a good name. I thought he did well in portraying John Kelly's life. To me it was great the way it was set up and jumped. I hope all of his books are like this. I also agree that this should be made into a movie.
Rating: Summary: Courage. Cowerdice. Betrayal. Revenge. All Without Remorse. Review: This tale of Clancy has become one of his most loved works. Set in the lush jungles of Vietnam and concrete forests of Baltimore, Without Remorse is the story of John Kelly, an ex-Navy SEAL who will become one of the living legends of the CIA, Mr. Clark. Hard-hitting, realistic and raw, this book will remove native Baltimoreans and others from their armchairs to the door to ensure that it is firmly secured and locked against what they now know to be out there, and then return with a shudder to continue reading...
Rating: Summary: If you like "getting even" categories, this is THE book! Review: From start to finish, this book never stops with interest, action, and character study. Even though you know that Mr. Clark is going to come out on top, the issue is in serious doubt several times throughout the book. As far as putting it down, that is almost unthinkable. This might be one of the easiest of Tom Clancy's books to put on film - and I wish someone would. I would really enjoy seeing with my eyes what pictures my mind has already painted and my spirit has enjoyed.
Rating: Summary: Without Remorse Review: This book is a "biography" of one of Clancy's characters- Mr. Clark. The story explains that "Mr. Clark" was the result of intense internal torture- including love. Yet the book is not simply an outline of this man's life. It's a time machine going back to the Vietnam war. It describes how intense stress and mental torture will force a man to kill whomever he feels is pure trash(Ex: Pimp). Whether or not you're experienced at reading this type of material, WITHOUT REMORSE, is a good place to start. Of course, the main reason to read this book is the exploration of the psyche of Clancy's characters, and possibly, the psyche of Tom Clancy himself.
Rating: Summary: Probably Clancy's Best Review: If you love Clancy and hate the techno babble this is the book for you. I've read them all and this is still my favorite. If you are a 1st time Clancy reader this book is a must
