Rating: Summary: Thich Nhat Hanh on the bounty of the present moment. Review: PRESENT MOMENT, THE Thich Nhat Hanh Buddhism teaches that the present moment contains the seeds of all things, including liberation from samsara (the world of suffering). In this live audio retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh, you experience first-hand the traditional Buddhist practices designed to "touch the energy of mindfulness" you carry within and help you open to the joy that is always present and waiting to enter our lives. As a humble Buddhist monk in 1966, Thich Nhat Hanh was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King, Jr. Since that time, he has developed a special way of teaching the dharma (essential Buddhist truths) in the West - a way that addresses the spiritual challenges unique to our day, while honoring all faiths. The seeds of internal and external peace are already inside you, he teaches. You need only learn to contact and nurture them. This is the path to transcending fear and anger; this is the path to a more peaceful world. You will learn a treasury of detailed meditations to help you walk, breathe, communicate - even cope with traffic - more deeply and consciously. The Present Momentis a rare opportunity to learn ancient Buddhist practices directly from a living master of the tradition - practices that are life-changing today, just as they were thousands of years ago. Over seven hours
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: Thank you Thich Nhat Hanh for sharing your knowledge. The Present Moment is filled with wisdom and humour. Through his teachings people are given the tools to enable them to heal their hearts and live more joyful/lighter lives. His voice is smooth and his humour great, thus he will not put you to sleep. Thich Nhat Hanh shares ideas to help anyone who is looking to take on the path to a more enlightened life. Or as Pema Chodron likes to say, the path of a Spiritual Warrior. The Blooming Of a Lotus is a good book filled with meditations by Thich Nhat Hanh. Learning the philosophy is a part of the path. Practicing through meditation is another part of the path.

Rating: Summary: Inspirational Yet Practical Review: The Audio version is really precious. You can detect in Thich Nhat Hanh's voice that he is truly In The Present Moment as he walks you through practice exercises of appreciating the preciousness of each moment. I especially appreciated the tips on incorporating Zen techniques into our technological world in such ways as "telephone meditation". Simply wonderful!
Rating: Summary: A Masterpiece By a Master Review: This collection is by far the best work by one of the greatest authors I have ever read. Do yourself a favor and check this out. The Present Moment goes so far beyond conventional communication that I feel very limited in my attempt to describe what you can expect from it. I envy you who will soon hear it for the first time.
Rating: Summary: A Masterpiece By a Master Review: What a quieting and calming perspective on the world around us. Oh, how it could be if we all only took a few minutes each day to be quiet and still.
