Rating: Summary: Re-Release Review: I love ALL of Nora Roberts' books.....you laugh or cry or gasp when something happens to all her characters as if you're right there to witness everything.....I am just a bit annoyed that this is actually a re-release not a new paperback....
Rating: Summary: Great suspense and romance! Review: This is another one of Nora Roberts' great ones! I honestly didn't think I would like the book until she cast out the wonderful characters. I found myself relating to Caroline and dreaming about Tucker. I was caught--hook, line, and sinker! I also enjoyed the Confederate/Yankee differences. Nora has always had a way of making her characters life-like, but this time she's out-done herself! Each and every one of the characters in this novel is just like someone in your own town. I think this is probably the most enjoyable book I've read in a long time!
Rating: Summary: Silhouette Meets Stephen King Review: This book was explosive. A perfect mix of a little romance and a lot of mystery. You get so attached to the characters but never in your wildest dreams will you expect the killer to be who they were. It was hard to put down and when it is over I assure you, you'll be stunned. Compared to some of Nora's other books like Geniune Lies or Public Secrets it may seem gritty or maybe even scary but I loved it and if you like mystery I think you will love it too.
Rating: Summary: page turning surprise Review: i am an avid reader of nora roberts and she never ceases to amaze me. carnal innonence was a book i will read again. the ending was not expected i found myself solving the mystery many times but never with the right ending. the characters were strong all the way through the book. if you love books that keep you guesing, read this.
Rating: Summary: Best of Robert's Best Review: I'm an avid reader Nora Roberts stories, but C.I.is my favorite, even the 'minor' charecters live (the hilarious FBI agent is unique)the ending jaw dropping, and as for the male lead Tucker-just when is cloning going to be perfected? Every gal wants one like that!
Rating: Summary: Surprising Review: Just got done finishing the book and all I can say is that I was completely wrong in thinking who the villian was.. Tucker Longstreet is one smooth operator and I wouldn't mind meeting up with him in another book. Give me a Nora Robert's book any time for enjoyment and surprising endings!
Rating: Summary: who dun-it Review: the story beyond trying to find the killer kept my attentions and with all books of this nature, i find myself thinking "its him....no, its him...oh wait...its him" which i absolutely love!this story takes the reader to a slower paced town in which everyone knows everyone. caroline comes to this town for the slower pace, but finds herself smack dab in the middle of a murder mystery. tucker, usually laid back (literally) falls for caroline and in the end, does all he can to protect her from the evil that lies in innocence throughly enjoyed this one! ::smile
Rating: Summary: Entertaining and hard to put down Review: I just finished reading this book and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Nora Roberts seemed to capture the pace of the South and she wrote an incredibly charming lead in Tucker. Caroline was also a pretty good character but she was less fully developed than Tucker and even a couple of the others. I like to guess "whodunit" and this time I did guess -- less than halfway through the book. However, having an idea who the killer was didn't remotely diminish my enjoyment of reading it -- I just wanted to see if I was right. A recommended read!
Rating: Summary: Suprisingly good! Review: Although my reading tastes run more toward Stephen King and Johnathan Kellerman, I began reading this book one day when I was out of new things to read. As I ordinarily would not read "sappy romances," I was pleasantly suprised to find myself 50 pages in and sending my 2 year old to watch Sesame Street so I could get in a few more pages! This book had a nice balance of mystery, humor and (not sappy) romance. I was a bit concerned with the number of editorial errors - several misspelled and misused words - kind of suprising in the age of computers! Overall, an interesting way to spend free time.
Rating: Summary: A GOOD BOOK Review: This was a great book, one that kept you reading, and waiting for the next page. The author is fantastic. If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever.
