Rating: Summary: "When The Wind Blows"- Definitely a 5 star book. Review: I'm 14. I'm in 9th grade. The last book I read before "When The Wind Blows" was "Robinson Crusoe" by: Daniel Defoe. I basically didn't like reading; until I read this book. I love the turns in the book, you never know who the people can trust, and who they can't trust. I also love how it changes through different character's perspectives, almost every chapter(Which there are 127 of). I haven't read a book in 5 years; yet I found every 416 pages of this book worth reading. The action is so intense, it's almost like you're actually in the book, as one of the characters. I totally recommend this book. "When The Wind Blows" by: James Patterson is definitely a 5 star book.
Rating: Summary: Fast-paced, as always on an imaginative subject. Review: This book is a good, fast read. The subject is quite different and builds slowly. However, the last 100 pages will keep you glued!
Rating: Summary: I loved this book...AND can't wait for the movie! Review: I loved this book and can't wait for the movie! I really liked this book..as to the nay sayers I say GET OVER IT! Let the guy have some breathing room....All it can do is help Paterson as an author to(forgive me) spread his wings (I had to go for the cheep pun!)! I too was surprised by the plot and so forth of the book but once I realized that this was not the usual fair from Paterson I decide to see what else the guy could do... I was very impressed by the book. It was a very fun read and I loved the characters... Frannie was everything I would want in a Vet, neighbor, and friend Kit was a great tortured character that warms slowly and MAX ...Max was great! She was a perfect little head strong child that like a lot of kids that had strange lives (without parents or with only one parent)could be a scared child one second and an in charge little adult the next! The descriptions of flight are wonderful you could almost picture it! I HOPE that there are people in hollywood that are wanting to make this into a movie! I think that it would translate wonderfully! I say if you can let go of pigeon holing an author read this book... if not let this one go... and realize that you are missing something special!
Rating: Summary: A great book-you must read Review: I was forced to read it by my mother I have never read any of his works but I have hooked from the first paragragh to the last period i suggest this for people of all ages
Rating: Summary: very average Review: This book is very repetitive. Not worth reading, unless you are a fan of the author or the topic .
Rating: Summary: STUPID, SILLY BORING Review: This book had the possibity to be good. But I got turned off immediately when the ANTI-HUNTING lingo started. Then it just got worse and sillier. I think I will move on to other authors.
Rating: Summary: Garbage Review: I have one word for this book: GARBAGE. If I could have chosen no stars, I would have. I liked Kiss the Girls but none of his later books even measured to that. I couldn't get up to page 100 in this one. Pure undeveloped, not thought provoking, shallow trash.
Rating: Summary: One of the best of Patterson's-A MUST READ!!!!! Review: Although I tend to prefer Alex Cross and still want him back, this book captured my attention from the first chapter and with the short chapters and great cliffhangers it was such an amazing read!! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a one or two day read of a good book!!!!
Rating: Summary: The King of one-page chapters still reigns supreme! Review: I have loved all of James Patterson's books since I read the first Alex Cross story "Along Came a Spider". I have eagerly read each Alex Cross and in between read Mr. Patterson's non-Alex Cross books as well. Even though "When The Wind Blows" could be called fantasy (a genre I don't usually seek out), I was totally caught up in the story and found myself falling in love with Max and her friends. I'm not sure where Frannie and Kit could go from here, but I certainly hope we meet them again.
Rating: Summary: May be the best book I ever read! Review: This was the best book I have read in years! Maybe ever! Please write more books with Frannie and Kit. I have never read a book with a heroine like Frannie! I am so used to being teased and put down for my attitudes about animals and the environment. Frannie did everything I would have done. I was so tickled with her. I also liked the character of Tom alias Kit. I prefer you call him Kit. He was terrific. Max was a wonderful character and I was so caught up in her plight for safety. I was also happy with the romantic yet tactful way you seduce the reader with the development of Frannie and Kits' relationship.Recently I watched the video "Kiss the Girls". Morgan Freeman was a very interesting choice for the character of Alex Cross and he portrayed the role believably and very well! I have ordered some of your other books on audio cassette tape to listen to when I walk the dog, but I much prefer the book I read "When the Wind Blows" to all of the other things I have listened to, ordered, or watched that you have written. Again please write more books with Frannie and Tom alias Kit! Your fan, Murphy
