Summary: I want my money back!
Review: I regret the day I bought this book. I wish I knew where the author lives to get a refund. I am very dissappointed with Mr. Patterson ever writing this book. The plot is very elementary for his usual readers and the story is surreal. The main characters are children who were genetically engineered to be great human species and have special powers. It's a dumb book to waste time and effort to read. You can do better than this James Patterson!

Summary: Realistic Evaluation
Review: Reading the reveiws of this book, I find that far to often, and especially so in this case, the reviews are skewed so severely because of an emotional need by some people to build up or blast a work far beyond what is appropriate or even accurate. This book was well written, but the premise is definitely far fetched. In my opinion, a term that should be used more often by reviewers, this is an average book written by an auther with an exceptional list of works, and therefore in a relative sense this book is a dissappointment, but not so much of one that it would deserve less than 2 or 3 stars.

Summary: WHEN A BOOK BLOWS. THIS BLOWS BIGTIME!
Review: I was mildly disappointed by the only other Patterson book I had read, JACK AND JILL, but after reading a positive review in the newspaper I thought I would give him another chance. Well, I'll never believe that reviewer again. I've never read such a sloppily plotted book. The numerous chronological and storyline inconsistencies made this story completely unbelievable. Was there an editor for this book? The setting of the story was just as unbelievable; it was as if the author did his research from a roadmap. This book is pure garbage obviously published just to capitalize on past successes, successes which are inexplicable considering the quality of writing.

Summary: Pathetic
Review: This had to have been one of most poorly written books I have ever read. Patterson must have been asked by his publisher to write this over the weekend! The false "suspense" leaves no one guessing as every plot twist is far too predictable. Save your money!

Summary: JAMES PATTERSON REALLY WROTE THIS BOOK????
Review: EXPECTING SOMETHING EQUALLY AS GREAT AS, KISS THE GIRLS, I COULD NOT WAIT TO READ PATTERSON'S NEW NOVEL, WHEN THE WIND BLOWS. THIS BOOK WAS (IN MY OPINION) HORRIBLE. THE PLOT WAS SO UNREALISTIC AND FAR FETCHED. I CONTINUED TO READ, ANTICIPATING SOME SORT OF IMPROVEMENT IN THE PLOT. AN IMPROVEMENT NEVER OCCURRED AND I FINISHED THIS BOOK, WONDERING, "WHAT WAS PATTERSON THINKING WHEN HE WROTE THIS BOOK">

Summary: Patterson takes genetic experimentation to new heights!
Review: Disappointed that Alex Cross wasn't present, I was prepared to dislike When the Wind Blows. However, Patterson is never one to disappoint. He explores the fine lines of genetic experimentation that many people don't want to think about. This book steps up and takes a swing at the controversial gene swapping that is sweeping over the news.

This book is filled with twists, turns & surprises. As a high school biology teacher, I assigned it for extra credit. Incredibly, many of my students read & truly enjoyed the foray into the secret world of government labs. If you want a book to pick apart, there are a few areas to dispute, but if you want a book that will give you chills every time you see cloning on the evening news, this is it!

Summary: Big Disappointment!
Review: If I learned anything from reading this novel, it's that I should read these reviews before making any more purchases! I am a huge fan of Alex Cross, and when I heard that there was a new Patterson novel out, I automatically bought it without even reading the jacket notes. Because the nursery rhyme title is so similar to the Cross series, I expected a Cross story! But boy was I disappointed. This story is just too.... simple. I can't believe that it was written by the same person, and it seems as though a lot of other readers feel the same way. In the future, I will be sure to read the reviews before buying any other books.

Summary: Fast paced, page turner. Great suspense and action.
Review: Very easy to read, lots of action, short action-packed chapters that make it hard to put down. This is my first James Patterson book-I was so pleased with it, I have since purchased several others.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining
Review: Being a huge Dr. Cross fan I was at first a bit disappointed, but once I met Max my disappointment disappeared. Who could not fall in love with Max? What a great heroine she was, she totally captured my heart. James Patterson is an awesome writer and I can't wait for his next book.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Some of the worst writing I've ever read.
Review: Putting aside the stupid plot line and the amateurish characterization, this is some of the worst writing I've ever read. If James Patterson hadn't written this, it would have never been published. He should be embarrassed to have his name on the front of the book.
