Summary: Laughingly bad.
Review: I love good writing, and usually keep all my books worth reading again, even the 'lighter subject' paperback thrillers. There are 2 books with such imbecilic writing that I threw them in the trash; The Horse Whisperer and When the Wind Blows by James Patterson.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: enjoyable read
Review: I dont understand all the hostility some of the reviewers seem to have for this book.Come on folks-this is a fantasy!maybe because I haven't read any of the Alex Cross books,I didn't come to this book with any preconceptions. It reminded me of early Stepen King in some parts. All in all,it wasn't the best book I ever read, but it was an enjoyable read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good story!
Review: James Patterson is a great story teller. This book is not like the usual serial killer stuff. When The Wind Blows is different, creepy, interesting, and it made me realize this is so close to real life its scary. I couldn't put it down.

Summary: Unusual Story From Patterson
Review: An unusual story line from Patterson. The reviewers here who decided not to finish this book, missed a heart stopping action-packed ending. The writing did seem a little sophomoric in places but story moved along at a good pace. The likeable characters were likeable and the unlikable characters were despicable. As it should be. Had me wondering how in the world Patterson came up with this one.

Summary: Doesn't even rate one full star.
Review: I was truly shocked by how bad this book is. Mr. Patterson evokes no suspense, his characters are one-dimensional, the plot is just plain silly. Perhaps a more talented writer could have done something creative with this premise.

The book reads like it was written by a thirteen year old girl for other thirteen year old girls. I suffered through 148 pages hoping the writing would get better, skimmed through a few more pages, and finally decided not to waste any more time trying to be entertained by this piece of trash.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I read FICTION Novels to be entertained - Well Done !
Review: Loved the Book, thank you Mr. Patterson. All you people who love Alex Cross probably really enjoy Bat man and Super man stories too, where you know the main character will always prevail to return next time. Talk about predictable -- I hate recurring characters.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Absolute junk compared to earlier works
Review: I cannot belive that the author who wrote great stuff like "Kiss the Girls" , "Cat and Mouse" and many other good books can write such stupid stuff!. Genetic engineering is not the issue here, but the way Patterson spins this fairy-tale, it is a complete insult to the fans of his work. Unless he writes something on the lines of his earlier works, I am never going to buy or read his future books.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Interesting and a page turner ,but I miss Alex Cross.
Review: The book was entertaining and keep my interest ,but I feel Patterson could have done more with the subject of genetic engineering. This read was more like a fairy tail. I cannot wait for the next Alex Cross novel.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A heartwarming, yet mysterious plot
Review: This was an incredible reader. It touched your heart, yet kept you going. The children's characters were believeable, it makes you wonder if this kind of testing is really going on.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: A complete rip-off. Plot and characters are simple minded.
Review: This book was NOT written in the previous style that author James Patterson writes in. The author should have changed his name to "Jane Patterson". This book reads like one of those so-called romance novels that women love to read. The plot is unbelievable, simple, stupid. The characters, who are supposed to be very smart people, are totally stupid and completely lacking in common sense. The sheer volume of emotional outpourings from the characters made me sick! This story would appeal to young immature teen-age girls but not to any adult that has any common sense!
