Rating: Summary: Sweet and fun Review: Why can't authors ever do something different without people jumping all over them. This book is great. Yes it doesn't seem possible for children to have wings. I don't read to hear about reality I read to escape and this book helps you escape so if you like a good time and a slightly suspenseful book try it out. after reading this book I tried his other books out and I don't think they are near as good.
Rating: Summary: I Gave It 1 Star Because there is nothing lower. Review: What a waste of time. This really put a bad taste in my mouth for Patterson. I read Kiss the Girls and it held my interest - not great but good enough to make me try another of his. But no more. This was plain irritating.
Rating: Summary: His Best Yet!....... Without Alex Cross Review: When The Wind Blows was an incredible book. I couldn't put it down! I have always liked Patterson's books with Cross in them, however I absolutely fell in love with this book. It was awesome, and I recommend it to all!
Rating: Summary: TOO FAR FETCHED..... Review: This book was a huge disappointment. I had heard so much about it (good advertising!) that I bought it immediately when it was released. I don't usually read Patterson, and this book will not make me go out and buy others by him. VERY unbelievable and just too HOKEY (for lack of a better word).
Rating: Summary: Do I have to finish it? Review: Yes, this is a quick read, that is if you can manage to get pass the urge not to finish it. "Wind" was pretty good until I got half-way through. Then, it turned into a made for TV movie. I've been putting off reading the last 100 pages (which in actuality would only take about 45 minutes to read, tops) just because I've lost all interest in the characters. The book's premise is noble enough, but the way it developed is weak and incredibily unbelievable.
Rating: Summary: a little different Review: having just found James Patterson and reading two of his Alex Cross books completely threw me off on my expectations. I am not a science fiction fan, never reading a book in that field. but this has enough possiblitys to reality to totally keep your concentration. Well done, I am on to the next one.
Rating: Summary: Skip It Review: Stick to the Alex Cross series - please don't miss them because of this horror.
Rating: Summary: The wind was weak Review: I think James Patterson is a great writer, however, I found this book to be a bit below expectation. Although Patterson found a way to tell this story of genetic alteration and a possible governemet cover-up, the story itself was a bit too far fetched. I did find that his research made the story more believiable, however, all the medical research books in the world could not have made me want to continue reading this story. I did finish it and while I was disappointed with the conclusion, it was understandable to me why he ended it the way he did. To sum up may feelings for the book, I am going to have to give it a thumbs down and not encourage a Patterson groupie like myself to read it.
Rating: Summary: A great book Review: My dad's girlfriend gave me this book to read when I came out to visit them this summer. At first I was sceptical, because the title didn't sound all that interesting, and I hadn't heard of the author before, and I thought it was going to be one of those really boring books that goes nowhere, but it was really interesting. I think it may appeal more to kids my age (13 or 14) at some points, but overall I think it's a good book for anyone to read. I think I'll read some more of James Patterson's books in the future.
Rating: Summary: Memorable. Review: Intersting story about the trouble you could get into when you mess around with genes. The scientific facts arent all that accurate and the plot reads more like a fairy tale but you simply will enjoy reading it as its both amusing and suspenseful at the same time.If you enjoy reading books like harry Porter then give this one a go its similar though instead of witches and warlocks it has evil scientists....
