Summary: A awesome story...
Review: I'll be honest. I probably never would have heard of this book if the movie hadn't been created. But the movie AND the book tell such an AMAZING TOUCHING story that they both made me cry. I cried literally 20 minutes after I finished the book. I will give nothing away about the movie or book, but Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter are miracles to each other, it is so sad at the end. This film, book, and soundtrack are all so AWESOME!

Summary: 17yr old male, what i think...
Review: Mandy Moore was my first reason i had read this book, i saw the promos for the movie, and knew there was a book. So at 8:00pm on Thursday the 24th of January 2002, i got into my car and drove to the local bookstore. I started reading it right there, i read for 2 hours until the store closed at 10pm. I got through 9 of the 13 chapters. The wrong thing was that i stopped reading, until the next day. It gave me a lot of time to think about what the last 4 chapters were about. It turned out to be predictable, a few things gave it away. So in my opinion it should be read all at one time. Finding out how the story unfolds is the main reason to keep reading. As a guy i liked this book, no doubt. The vocabulary in the book was around 8th or 9th grade, but the simplicity is quite good (written probably for that age group) At first i was smiling a bit, but by the end it did make you sad. I could relate to it at that date thats why it was so appealing. For others it might be more.

Summary: Tissue stock will go up
Review: This book is one of the best by far that I have read in a long time. Nicholas Sparks can interest the reader and keep them interested throughout the entire book, wanting to read more from him. One thought, don't read the book then see the movie thinking you'll see a mirror image. The book keeps the story "sweet", still sad but wonderful just the same. The movie takes a little time to get "sweet", then you dig for the tissues during the last hour. I have read all of Nicholas Sparks' books and plan to continue with each and every book he writes. I hope he never stops. He is now my #1 author!

Summary: Extraordinary, Page turner novel
Review: Nicholas Sparks has two New York's time's bestseller books. He has been named as a leading author of today's best writers of love stories.
I loved A Walk to Remember because it is a heart-warming novel of two opposites who attract each other. It contains an excellent mixture of feelings, I laughed, and cried with this book. Because Sparks adds small details to the story, I enjoyed this book. Friendship, love, death, and specially faith are some the feelings Sparks wrote about in this sticking piece of work.
Have you ever fallen in love, with the last person you could have imagined?
A Walk to Remember unrolls an exquisite story of love in Beaufort, North Carolina in 1958. Landon, a teenager who is afraid to face manhood, had already dated a girl or two and thought he had once been in love. When homecoming arrives, he is left with the only option of taking lonesome Jamie Sullivan. Benevolent Jamie, daughter of the Prime minister, volunteer at the local orphanage, and helper of injured animals always carried a bible with her.
Jamie pursued Landon to enter the year's Christmas play. Walking Jamie to her house, every day after the play's rehearsal, Landon and Jamie slowly open the doors to their hearts where a congenial friendship grows.
On the night of the play, when the air was crisp and the sky was clear, Jamie looked like an angel and for the first time Landon admitted that she looked glamorous and spectacular. Since Jamie and Landon fall in love, together they discover that their faith is stronger than life itself, and it can fight against all the obstacles that they are faced with.
I recommend this book to any anyone who is willing to understand challenges that life presents to us, and how faith is the only thing that can help us move on. Never judge someone by first impressions, but always remember to take a deeper look.

Summary: The Best Book
Review: Not all of us in this world have fallen in love, nor do we know what it's like to be in love. Yet, some people like Nicholas Sparks have the eminent gift to be able to describe love to us in such an extraordinary way that makes our heart hungry for this marvelous feeling.
During the year of 1958 at Beaufort, North Carolina a touching story about love at a young age, unfolds. Landon at age seventeen thought that he'd gone through a long journey in life. But, the day destiny deals him a bad hand, his life completely rotates; he falls in love with Jamie Sullivan. In simple and common words the "school geek", whom he had known all of his life, but had never paid enough attention to notice her inner beauty.
The magic of how Landon with the rush of time is attracted to Jamie more and more, but fools himself by not accepting it, keeps you glued to this splendid story. What if this lovely realistic-fiction novel actually took place? I would get us startled, wouldn't it? Not for the fact that the "school geek" and the "popular guy" fell in love. But, for the fact that two people found within each other what most people spend their lives seeking, mutual love.
Read "A Walk to Remember" and experience all the different kinds of feelings Nicholas Sparks wakens up from your heart. Love is another world apart, and the only way to know about is by exploring it. Stories like this one though, show and prove to us now love is and if you want to see it with your own eyes I recommend reading "A Walk to Remember".

Summary: An amazing tear-jerking book
Review: Although i only started to read this becuase I like ot read the books before I see the movies, this was a book I could not put down. The characters of Jamie and Landon jsut came alive. This book is about Jamie, an old minister's daughter, who doesn't fit in,but is the sweetest perosn you could find. and Landon, a so-called bad-boy who is not sure what his life is really about. Though strange circumstances they end up together in the school play, and become very close. Everything is wonderful, until Jamie reveals her secret. I tihnk this would have to be the first book I have really cried at. Tjis is a wonderful book and I urge you to read it!

Summary: A Great Book!
Review: For Christmas break, my English teacher made us read a book. Thinking of what I should pick, I remembered some of my friends discussing a book they read and liked a lot. The book they were talking about was called A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. As I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I will admit that I don't like to read that much, and when I start reading a book, I usually never finish it. This was completely different, we had 3 weeks to read the book, and I read it in 1 week!
I am a 14-year-old girl, and like other girls, we all want to fall in love. (Grown ups would say puppy love). This book is a really sweet and cute love story that will capture your heart.
One of the main characters is Landon Carter; he is in his senior year in high school. Landon thinks that his year will be the same as other, joking around with friends and chilling around all the time but he is totally wrong. His life, and thoughts about life will change right after he picks drama as one of his classes. Thinking he will be able to sleep in this class, he goes not imagining what will happen.
Jamie Sulviani is also in her senior year. She is not like other girls in school; Jamie is the daughter of the Minister in town. She is always carrying a bible with her and she is consider as the class dork. Also in drama class, Jamie is picked for one of the leading roles in this year's Christmas play. Jamies father, Revender Sulviani, writes these plays. Jamie wants this play to be one of the best plays ever presented. She wants this for her father. Actually she wants this year to be the greatest year in her life. She wants to help the orphanage even more this year. She wants to give each little kid a Christmas present they have never received before.
With no other choice, Landon invites Jamie to the Homecoming Dance. Jamie will accept to go, as long as Landon keeps his promise of not falling in love with her. (Landon promises). A twist in fate, makes Landon break his promise. He falls in love, but will it be forever?
In my opinion, the author wrote his memorable book in a way that teaches you a lot about life, and about the fact that you don't have to criticize someone without even knowing him/her. I loved this book a whole lot, and I wouldn't be surprise if you did too.

Summary: Every Young Adult Should Read it
Review: I really enjoyed reading the novel, A Walk to Remember. Sparks did an excellent job developing the characters of Jamie and Landon and expressing their feelings. This book tells a story about young true love and how Landon became a better person because the great love of his life. I absolutely could not put it down and look forward to seeing the movie. Spark also did an excellent job developing the plot, and like any good novel there was a moral to this story.

Summary: Pretty Good!
Review: Well, I'm a guy. And this book was only the second "romance" novel I've ever read. And I bought it for my 13-year-old daughter--but then I decided to read it first after seeing the words "first love" on the back cover. I wanted to see exactly what kind of "love" author Sparks had in mind. Anyway, this novel was pretty good. And I DID cry, just like the main male character, Landon Carter--the "I" of this 1st-person narrative--assured me I would. But the story was VERY predictable. I haven't read Sparks's other books, so I don't know how they compare to _A Walk to Remember_. But one thing that really distracted me was the "tone" of the writing.Sparks has the older adult Carter reminiscing about when the story occured, but has him telling it in the language a high schooler would use. From the get-go and throughout the entire book, however, I imagined this story being told by the ADULT Carter--as if he and I were sitting in front of the fireplace. So, to me, the language didn't match the age of the one doing the reminiscing. In spite of that, I really loved the story. And it's not at all trashy. Which is why my daughter is reading the book now...as I type.
