Summary: This bok is sooo good, even for mature kids!
Review: I'm only 13, but I still read this book. Now, you should know two things about me 1. I hate to read 2. I hate sappy love stories. This struck me as truly amazing because it wasn't the love I liked the best, or the romance. It was the human emotions that Sparks painted onto each page. He drew me a picture of not a super hero, but two people in love. This book may seem sad, but it is actually successful and happy. An emotionally numb boy meets a new world through this girl, and he discovers true life. I may be young, but Sparks reaches out to the world, young and old.

Summary: So Good, But So Sad...
Review: This is a beautiful, romantic, heartwarming story that will sure to leave you crying at the end. But as the author states in his preface - "you have been forewarned". I don't read many fiction books, yet when I do, I tend to stick to favorite authors and Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorites. I was hooked after reading Message In A Bottle - another tearjerker.

I am a hopeless romantic and I usually don't read romance books, but this book is superb for all of you other hopeless romantics. This book will tear at your heartstrings and will linger with you for days. I could not put this book down and read it in two days. I was immediately captivated and transported into Landon Carter's world in the late 1950's. Landon does an incredible amount of "growing up" during his seventeenth year of life. The minister's daughter, Jamie Sullivan, helps him to transform from a selfish, self-absorbed "kid", to a young adult on the verge of manhood. Landon conveys traits of tenderness, and compassion, and learns about love and faith and how to forgive, while his love blossoms for Jamie. Jamie is able to bring out all that is pure and good from Landon. It is this innocent love that is all consuming that helps to foster Landon's growth and wisdom.

Jamie may be portrayed in the book as a "goodie two-shoes", but her innocence, her unnerving faith and trying to live her life as God wanted us all to live, endears her to the reader.

The book may be predictable in parts, but that does not deter from the beauty of this story. In the conclusion, Landon realizes what love is and what it really means to love another by helping your love's dream become a reality. Landon's heart softens when he lets his true nature come through and shine - and shine it does. Epitome of true love - most definitely! With Landon's transformation complete, the reader is completely absorbed with these two main characters. You can't help but fall in love with them.

Nicholas Sparks - I congratulate you on another most tender and endearing story.

I absolutely love this book and recommend it heartily. This is a must read kind of book that can't help but uplift you as well. Just keep your kleenex handy, because when you're finished with the book, you won't stop crying.

Summary: A Fabulous Book
Review: Sparks sure was sure right about this book. It made me laugh and cry. Although i did see the movie first, the book was even better. A great read for young teens who dont appreciate what they have in life!

Summary: I Just Couldn't Put It Down!
Review: I hate books, and I hate to read, but when I got this book, I had to read it! Then when I started to read it I loved it. It's the best book I have ever read! It's abut a boy and a girl. The boy is Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan, the boy is pretty popular and always makes fun of Jamie because she is different and he would make fun of her father the community minister! I was in my room reading and I fell asleep reading it. If you read this book I promise you you will not want to stop! I got into trouble reading it so much! Later on in the book he takes her to the dance because he doesn't have any one to go with, my favorite comment from Jamie was, "I'll go under one condition! as long as you don't fall in love with me!" Later on you'll see if he does or doesn't and then something happens that they can't control! She has a Bible with her and you'll find out what she does with it! This book is funny, romantic, exciting and thrilling ! I'll definately read it again! You better get this book, A Walk To Remember!!

Summary: Just "marvelous"
Review: Dear reader!

We read the book "A walk to remember" by Nicholas Sparks in class and it was very good. The book was very easy to understand and we always were able to follow the plot.

It is an emotional lovestory in which you can identify with the main characters. The plot is about a teenager relationship between Landon and Jamie. Landon is just a normal boy, but Jamie is not a normal girl...

She always carries a bible with her. Jamie is the star for every mother and always friendly to everyone, but she hides a secret. Only her dad knows about the truth.

After reading it, you will think about your own way of treating people. Make your own experiences with the (happy?) ending...

Just "marvelous"!!!

Summary: Good book for students
Review: Normally I do not like love stories, but this novel is not like others love stories. There is some suspense and humour in it, which makes it interesting. The end is quite sad, but this shows quite well that even when you finally reached happiness you cannot be sure that you stay happy. So the book makes you think about life in general and your life in specific. The long descriptions of some people, houses or so are quite boring I think. Nevertheless, it is a very good book for young people, the best book I ever read in school.

Summary: quite interesting lovestory
Review: I`m a German student of the 11th grade, and I`ve read this novel in class.
I found it easy to understand, and although I usually don`t read lovestories, this one was quite interesting to me. The way Nicholas Sparks writes about the actions and thoughts of Landon and Jamie (the main characters), makes it really easy to share their emotions.

Summary: Very emotional story
Review: I think the book "A Walk to Remember" is easy to read and understand.
The story is about a growing relation between two teenagers, Landon Carter and Jamie Sullivan.
Jamie often reads the bible, helps others and is always friendly. She's what adults would call an angel. But her classmates don't like her at all, including Landon. Landon is exactly the opposite of her. He likes playing tricks on others.
But they come closer together because Landon cannot find any other girl for a dance. So he "has to take" her. In school, they have to spend more time together because Landon agrees to play the main character in a Christmas play (Jamie is the female protagonist). Landon develops feelings for Jamie but does not show them because he is afraid of the others' reaction. But later he invites her to a dinner and walks her home after the rehearsals. You can say that he has finally fallen in love at that moment. One night he kisses her...
Then this very emontional story turns into a dramatic one. Jamie says that Landon cannot be together with her because she is very ill... Although Jamie dies in the end the story has a happy ending! Even if you hate love stories this book will interest you, because it is not only about the "normal stuff". Nicholas Sparks describes very detailed but sometimes it is a little bit too long and therefore too boring!

Summary: A Walk to Remember Rocks!
Review: I just got back from watching the movie, and it is deffintly the best movie that I myself have ever seen. Shane West and Mandy Moore make a coute couple on and off of the screen. I think they should make many more films together. I love Mandy Moores songs that she sings in the movie. She is very talented and is still pretty with and without makeup. The movie is so good, that I have already bought the book, A Walk to Remember, and have seen the movie twice.

Summary: EXCELLENT ! FANTASTIC!! MUST READ!!
Review: It is by far my most favorite. My emotions were right with Landon and all the small details of their lives, their love and the world around them. I would love to read another one just like it. Made me feel like I was home!
