Rating: Summary: I love this book! Review: This book is just the essence of childhood...anyone who has ever had a day where everything just goes wrong can relate to this story! It's touching, simple, and a great book for any age!
Rating: Summary: I think this book is good for "kids" of all ages! Review: This book was recently read to my kindergarten sunday school class. While I was listening along with the children, I just had to crack a smile. I've had plenty of days just like Alexander. As a college student, days like this are normal occurances, but it wasn't until I read this book that I realized how much I can blow things out of perspective. Just like in the story, my bad days often begin with my bad attitude while getting out of bed. I truly believe that this book is absolutely essential for everyone to read. If you're not having a bad day, then great...but if you are, it'll definitely put a smile on your face and help put things back in proportion. Just a reminder that good advice for everyone can come from anywhere, even a children's story book.
Rating: Summary: Marvelous Review: My mother gave this book to me when I myself had a terrible and horrible day. It brightened up my day and I think of it every time a day does not go my way!
Rating: Summary: Excellent!! Review: I love this book...It shows children how others have bad days. The way the book is written makes the children you read to want to participate. Pretty soon you have the children talking aloud with you as you read!
Rating: Summary: The hardback edition is better than the new softcover one! Review: Alexander and I "grew up" together, and at 25 years old, he can still make me smile on a bad day. I guess I'm just nostaglic, because I prefer the first edition with the old VW bug in it!
Rating: Summary: A home library classic. Review: This book got me through high school! On days when I was suffering from teen angst, my best friend would bring in her copy for me to read before the day began. Now I'm expecting a child in May, and this book is on our essential home library list. I can't wait to have an excuse to read it over and over again!
Rating: Summary: children can associate with this book Review: It ia a very funny book. The children in my classroom always get a good laugh when I read this book to them. They can put themselves in the place of Alexander, They seat very quietly and listen to this book, I read it every year to my first grade class.
Rating: Summary: Adorable & cheery way to look at a bad day! Review: I've read this book for years to pre-school children. They love it! It's an animated and delightful story. I highly recommend this to any child or adult who's ever had a cruddy day. It's a great way to teach a child the joys of laughing at one's self & taking life less seriously!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book that Everyone Should Read Review: This is a book that people of all ages should read! It is warm, funny, and a reminder that everyone has bad days! The day that I received this book and read it to my daughter was one of the worst days I had had in a while. By the end of reading this book we were all laughing and feeling a little better about life in general. Some days are just like that, even in Austraila! I highly reccommend sharing this book with everyone you know! Adults included!!!
Rating: Summary: One of those days when you just shouldn't get out of bed! Review: Alexander's trials and tribulations reflect those of both children & adults. We all think that kids have it easy, and following Alexander's day shows us that rough days happen to us all, regardless of how old we are.
