Rating: Summary: Another Connelly success Review: Michael Connelly is clearly one of the finest writers of our time, and with Angels Flight, he cements his position as a leader of his genre. Fine characterizations and smooth plotting propel this book right to the end. If you like this one, you'll love FALSE ACCUSATIONS (Alan Jacobson) as well. Both are fabulous and will hold you till the very last page.
Rating: Summary: Great book, could not put it down! Review: This book kept you interested. I couldn't wait to find out who did it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Unputdownable Review: This book has some BIG twists in it, it is fast moving, edge of seat, gripping stuff!
Rating: Summary: A truly great writer! Never a disappointment. Review: Once again, another great book by Connelly -- Angels Flight. I can't wait for his next book. I couldn't put this one down. And yes, I did read "The Poet." I still think this book is every bit as good. Keep up the good work, Michael!! You make reading worthwhile.
Rating: Summary: Connelly's best Bosch novel yet!!! Review: With each Bosch novel, Connelly has been able grab the reader's attention until the very last page. Angel's Flight is one of his best written novels thus far. Should you choose to read Angel Flight, turn off the ringer on your phone and don't answer the door!!!
Rating: Summary: A thinking persons crime thriller Review: Michael Connelly has a natural ability to draw you in to his world. His books are not action packed, however they are thought provoking and you get half way through this one wondering where it is going-but you just have to find out. This story was a very enjoyable read and up to MC's usual standard-enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Connelly stays consistent Review: Mr. Connelly continues with his unbroken string of compelling mysteries with his latest, Angel's Flight. As Harry Bosch deals with both professional and personal demons, Los Angeles is ready to explode because of the murder of the Police Department's most visible critic. Beautifully written and plotted, we are treated to a surprise villain who truly gets what they deserve in the end. Read this and all of Connelly's other books. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: In the Connelly tradition Review: This author has to be the hottest one out there in his genre. From start to finish the story was action-packed with twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end. Bosch and his team left no stone unturned while investigating the murder on the Angels Flight of Howard Elias, a lawyer with a vendetta against the LAPD. While struggling with personal problems, his nicotine addiction and computer illiteracy, good ole Bosch keeps his wits together and the cigarettes at bay while heading up the double investigation. The ending, tragic in many respects, was fitting. A classic Connelly story!
Rating: Summary: could not put the book down Review: The book took off from the start.IT kept moving and twisting and turning
Rating: Summary: Disappointing effort for this Harry Bosch fan. Review: Readers who give "Angels Flight" five stars obviously have not read Connelly's earlier Bosch stories and his other works (ie, "The Poet). Those were 5 star efforts.
