Summary: Good book...but....
Review: I certainly agree with the comments regarding Mary Higgins Clark's ability to tell a great story. She always keeps my attention throughout her novels and her characters are quite well developed. This latest work is, as in her other works, absorbing, spellbinding and engaging. At the same time I was left vaguely disappointed at the end. I have noticed that many books that I have recently read seem to develop complex plots with a multitude of characters more or less central to the main story. Although this multitude of characters can be important to the overall tone of the work, I find it disquieting when, at the end of the novel; the writer fails to tie up all the loose ends involving those characters. In this work, Ms. Clark fills her plot with numerous characters that may, or may not; prove to be the ultimate villain. In the end, after the villain is unmasked, this reader was left wondering about the fate of all those extraneous characters. I have noticed this, not only in Ms. Clark's work, but also in the work of some of my other favorite authors. Perhaps it is a new trend; if so, I believe it to be an unfortunate one.

Summary: Higgins-Clark at her best!! A true page-turner!!!
Review: I found this book to be a true pleasure. For a while I was finding Clark to be somewhat "formulaic" but she completely turns it around in this thriller...true "beach reading" at it's best. Character development &, more importantly, locality description is beautiful. Anyone who has ever been to Spring Lake,NJ (I have!) can almost follow where she's taking you. Right down to the gorgeous multi-million dollar victorian estates sprinkled through this town. Every chapter leaves you thinking, "I know who did it!!" and then the next chapter you're saying, "Well, maybe it's this guy!!". Needless to say,you can't put the book down!! It's not who you think it is..by a long shot!! And the conclusion will have you reeling!! I recommend it, HANDS DOWN!!

Summary: Finished in One Day
Review: A long-time fan of Ms. Clark's, I had found something lacking in some of her most recent mysteries. However, in this one, she managed to recapture the nail-biting, can't-put-the-book-down suspense that made a fan of me in the beginning. The plot, which sounds a little odd at first (a reincarnated serial killer recommitting his crimes a century later), is very tightly woven; the characters unique and sympathetic, and the ending makes you sit up and take notice. All in all, a lot of fun, and classic Clark.

Summary: Mary Higgins Clark
Review: I enjoyed reading this novel very much! unlike many of her other books this particular one was not predictable. There were a lot of charachters but it made the possibility of the bad guy more open! It made new problems to solve, and it made me think a lot more than any of her other books. I am very pleased with this book and i am happy that i bought it when i did. Mary had me guessing and wondering, not many writers can do that. Although i was most impressed with how she kept me interested, i couldnt stop turning the page, i always had to find out what was going to happen next! I cant wait to go and buy another one of her books!

Summary: This is a must-read book!!
Review: Mary Higgins Clark has once again outdone herself. I couldn't put this book down! The suspense begins with the first chapter and lasts throughout the entire book. There are several twist and turns. Just when you think you've got it figured out, something else happens. This is definitely a movie in the making!

Summary: Classic MHC
Review: Has a serial killer been reincarnated and repeating his crimes one hundred years later? That is the premise of Mary Higgins Clark's latest mystery thriller. Emily Graham has moved to Spring Lake New Jersey after the man who was stalking her has been convicted and jailed for the crime. Her new home was once owned by her family, but sold 100 years earlier when her ancestor Madeline Shapley disappeared. But once settled in things begin to go wrong. A dead body is found in her back yard, together with the body of Madeline Shapley. And much to her horror, it appears that she is being stalked again. Is the man in jail for this crime innocent, or is this a copy cat crime.? As the bodies begin to pile up, Emily determines to solve the mystery and find the link between the crimes committed a century apart. In classic Mary Higgins Clark style, there are suspects galore, red herrings and a few surprising twists. A great book for a lazy day at the beach.

Summary: On the street where you live
Review: I had stopped reading Mary Higgins Clark...she hasn't had the depth over the last few years that her earlier novels had. I picked up ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE while staying over night for a business meeting. I couldn't put it down! Ms. Clark is back to her high standards. An excellent read.

Summary: Vintage Clark
Review: I was pleasantly surprised by the new Mary Higgins Clark book. I haven't purchased the last few books she wrote because I felt she had become predictable. This new book had an interesting story line, so I picked it up, and I'm glad I did. She packed a lot of twists in the story, and the ending was a surprise. If you prefer her older stories, you will enjoy this book.

Summary: She's Number One
Review: There's no getting around it - Mary Higgins Clark is definitely #1 in the thriller department. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a book-signing last year. She is a delightful woman and deserves all the accolades. Yes, there are a lot of characters in her current novel but I think that was done on purpose. It kept you guessing who the heck the killer was. Bravo for a great story!

Summary: Couldn't put it down!!!!
Review: I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book. I had to keep turning the pages to find out the next clue in this story. I thought I had it figured out but Mary Higgins Clark threw me a curve or two throughout the book. I still wonder about the guy who owns the resturant, what is his deal??? That was the only loose end I read. Other than that this was an excellent book.
