Rating: Summary: The Best Yet Review: This was truly the best Death book yet -- and there better be more! I found it interesting, and nice, that I left the book feeling Eve's strength too. Usually Roarke dominates the book -- but they are equally strong in this book. I'm romantic at heart, but I love a good mystery. If you want a great mix of both -- Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb is the one for you!
Rating: Summary: Totally Mag Review: Another truly great book in this great series. This is one of my favorites in the series. It has everything anyone could want in romance/mystery. Eve and Roarke are great and I can't get enough of the secondary characteristics - Peabody and McNabb, Mavis, Feeny, and Dr. Mira. I want more!!
Rating: Summary: The Best Eve/Roarke Story Yet - Keep them Coming Nora! Review: WOW! I hounded my local bookseller for days waiting for this one to hit the shelf. Got it home, ignored my chores, put my daugther to bed, and stayed up all night to finish. It was worth it . . . the only bad thing is - now its over and I'm back to waiting. Eve is a multifaceted character and we get to see the good with the bad. Same goes for her husband Roarke. Finally characters who truly love and respect each other, but aren't afraid to disagree. And the secondary characters are right there doing their jobs - filling in details, adding depth, generally moving the story along. On the one hand I love the timeline of these stories. Each book/case seems to pick up where the last one left off. We find out about how Eve and her cohorts live their daily lives. Relationships have depth. But, because of the timeline, I can't jump to the end and get my happily ever after fix. When will they have kids, how will Eve handle pregnancy and her job, when will Eve be promoted, will Roarke eventually own New York City?? AAHHH the questions. A sure sign of another J. D. Robb 5-star book. I'm anxiously awaiting the next one. And please Nora, don't just leave these two characters hanging. If you do ever write a final installment . . . we've gotta have that epilogue to tie up their future. If you want action, adventure, romance . . . BUY THIS BOOK. If you've never read a J.D. Robb, Eve/Roarke story . . . you'll want to start at the beginning and experience "In Death" in full detail.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely outstanding reading Review: If you are like me and a good book can pull you in and take you places, than the In Death Series is one you don't want to miss. Loyalty in Death is outsttanding. I heard this was the last one, well Nora Robert's, if you happen to read this please do not let this be true, I started reading this series before I even knew you were the author, and I just love reading them. Write more of them, write faster and Blessed be.
Rating: Summary: J. D. Robb does it again, keeping the mystery tantalizing Review: J.D. Robb does it again, keeping the mystery and the characters exciting and unusual. Eve Dallas is a unique heroine and even Peabody gets some romantic action this time. The plot is different but not so far out it's incomprehensable. I enjoy the future setting and the little details are exact. One of the better ones in this series.
Rating: Summary: TOO BAD I CANOT RATE THIS HIGHER Review: In response to a comment below, I hear there are two more In Death books planned so far, so TAKE HEART!!!! This book is just awesome, now it's letdown time, because we have to wait months until the next one. Since Nora writes so fast, ahem, maybe she could whip one out every month or so. I certainly wouldn't mind.
Rating: Summary: GREAT SERIES!!! Review: I love these books!! They just keep getting better and better. Eve and Roarke are great together. In the next book I hope the author starts to give us a little more insight into Roarke's background. I would also like Eve to find out more about her father, so Eve and Roarke could start thinking about starting a family. Eve being pregnant would make a great story. Peabody and McNab were really cute together. A wedding of Mavis or Peabody and McNab would be great. This was a really fast read but it gave us no idea when another book will be coming out.
Rating: Summary: Eve and Roarke are back and better than ever! Review: As a reader who can't get enough, this long anticipated book was fantastic. J. D. Robb keeps the reader in suspense from beginning to end. The main and secondary characters leap off the pages at you and keep you wanting more of their personal stories while you are frantically rooting for them to stop the terrorists. The only disappointing aspects of this book is that it wasn't longer and there is no excerpt at the end of the book to hold you over for the next installment of Eve and Roarke.
Rating: Summary: excellent, superb, magnificent Review: I have been delighted with this series from day one. Not only do we get a glimpse at the future--good, bad or indifferent--but for the first time we get to see how a relationship evolves after the wedding. The difficulties of marriage, friendship, relatives, and work place, are so finely described and lived, not only by Eve and Rourke, but by all their friends, that is hard not to feel like you are one of them. I sincerely hope this is not the last of the series, as I have been so looking forward to seeing little Eve' and little Rourke's develope in this beautiful, yet harsh world that J.D. Robb--Nora Roberts--has created for us. Please, do not make us wait too long.
Rating: Summary: Incredible--as always! Review: I absolutely love this series, and just when I think it can't get any better, J.D. Robb proves me wrong! As a fellow romance author, J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) is a constant inspiration to me. She is a master at plot and characterization. I'm also grateful that she's so incredibly prolific! Keep them coming!
