Summary: A Book for Girls, and the Guys that Don't Understand Them
Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a suspenseful, loving story of four best friends who had to spend a summer apart. Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget are those four best friends. They have always been best friends, ever since their mothers' sparked a friendship while they were still pregnant. The girls had never been away from each other for more than two weeks, so the whole summer apart was obviously a challenge. These girls were all connected by one item over the summer. The strange and unbelievable item gave the girls the confidence they needed to make it through the summer.

The strange and unbelievable item was a pair of magical pants. The pants were referred to as the traveling pants. The pants fit anyone who tried them on. The pants fit a curvy Carmen, a petit Tibby, a sporty Bridget, and a bland Lena. The pants also made each girl look fantastic. The pants gave each girl a feeling of confidence and beauty. The pants traveled from Maryland, to Baja, to Greece, and to South Carolina. The pants went through many experiences with the girls, but they were used to give the girls extra confidence.

The pants went to Maryland with Tibby. Tibby is the petit girl who stayed home all summer. Tibby got a job at a local store called Walman's. While working Tibby accidentally met a young girl named Bailey. Tibby net Bailey when she passed out and Tibby rode with her to the hospital. Bailey taught Tibby many lessons over the summer. Bailey kept a secret from Tibby. Once Tibby discovered the secret she was soon able to appreciate life and the fact that it doesn't last for ever.

The pants were in Greece with Lena. Lena is the bland girl who went to Greece with her sister. Lena went to Greece to visit her grandparents. While Lena was in Greece her grandma introduced her to a cute Greek boy named Kostos. Before meeting Kostos Lena always felt suspicious of boys. At first she had the same feeling about Kostos, but Kostos soon taught Lena that boys don't always have bad motives.

The pants were in Baja, Mexico with Bridget. Bridget is the sporty girl who was at an elite soccer camp. While at camp, Bridget fell head over heels in love with a counselor at the camp. His name was Eric. The only two obstacles that stood in Bridget's way of captivating Eric happen to be two huge obstacles. The first one is that Eric is three years older than Bridget. Those three years made a gigantic difference on a maturity level. The second obstacle was the fact that Eric is a camp counselor. One of the main rules at the camp is that the counselors shouldn't get romantically involved with the campers. Obviously Bridget found herself in a bit of a controversy and a lot of trouble. Eric taught Bridget that growing up too fast is a curse.

The pants were also in South Carolina with Carmen. Carmen is the curvy girl who went to visit her father. Carmen wanted to spend some quality time with her father one on one, but she didn't get to do that. In fact the single, carefree father she loved had changed so much since she last saw him. Carmen didn't like her new changed father, and she hated his new lifestyle. Over the summer Carmen learned that change isn't always a bad thing, it's just a new thing. Carmen had many people to teach her this lesson.

Overall, the girls each learned something over the summer. The pants helped each girl learn something because it gave the girls extra confidence. This fantastic book teaches many lessons. It is a great book, especially for young girls. The book helps every girl feel beautiful, and anyone can relate to its plot.

Summary: The BESTEST book ever!!!!!
Review: I am a seventh grade girl from Burlingame, California. A lot of the girls in my grade have read this book and enjoyed it as much as I did. One day while I was in the school library I picked up a copy of this book, which was lying on the couch. I checked it out and began to read. Once I started I could not put it down!!
This book tells about a pair of magical blue jeans and the summer they spend with their four owners. The owners of these pants are four high school girls who live in Washington DC. Their names are Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen. All four of them are spending their summer vacations in different places, so the pants have to be air-mailed to each of them.
The pants begin with Lena who is visiting her grandparents in Greece. While there they spark an amazing chain of events. Next they are given to Tibby, who stays at home all summer working a summer job at Wallmans and putting together her documentary of her hometown. There she meets an 12 year-old girl named Bailey who is ill with Lukemia. Next the pants are mailed to Carmen who is staying in South Carolina, visiting her dad. The pants witness the transformation of Carmen to the evil stepsister, while her summer doesn't go as planned. Last they are in the hands of Bridget. She is at a soccer camp in Baja California and is falling for Eric, one of the soccer coaches. The pants bring her luck at all her soccer games, but can they help her spark a realationship with Eric????? To find out more about these corky girls and their traveling pants make sure to read "The Sisterhood of the Travling Pants" and if you like that one try the sequal, "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood".
I think that this is definatley a teenage girl book for ages 12&up!

Summary: gud book
Review: this was a great book! I really liked how it was so realistic, funny, sad, and exciting. It over whelmed me sometimes though because so much was going on at once. However, i loved it all the same. This book is pure beauty and I don't know how anyone could think it was bad or disappointing. It is a book even moms could read and love!

Summary: Could'nt put the book down!
Review: Wow, this is a great book that I couldn't put down. I can't imagine how you can think it's not appropriate for 12-year-olds. I'm a 11-year-old and I totally understand it. The only sexual content has is that Bridget thinks that it would be nice to have sex with this boy. No intimate details about it or anything. The people that are saying it's inappropriate are those overprotective parents who theink their children shouldn't be exposed to the real world. God, if they think this is bad, I'd like to see what they think about "Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret?" BOTTOM LINE: AWESOME BOOK!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best book I've ever read!
Review: It was great looking through the life of the 4 girls! It is sometimes comedy, drama, and romance! I recommend this book for girls at the ages of 13-16 it really is a must read!

Summary: My favorite book; The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: "Can you make yourself love? Can you make yourself be loved?" This is a frequently asked question in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They ask this question to family, friends, and boys that they meet on their 15th summer.
In The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, 4 best friends are spending their 1st summer apart from eachother. They find a pair of pants and even though they all have totally different bodies, they all fit into the same pair of pants. They promise themselves that over their long summer apart, they will send the pants along with letters, back and forth to eachother.
The main charactors are Carmen, Lena, Tibby, and Bridget. They are all 15 and have been best friends ever since they were young. Tibby is left at home for the summer with nothing to do but work at Wallman's Grocery Store. Lena goes to Greece with her sister to visit her grandparents. Bridget goes to soccer camp in Mexico and falls in love with a coach/ counselor. And last but least, Carmen goes to her dad's house in South Carolina and finds out that he is getting remarried.
One memorable scene in the book is when Lena's grandpa gets in a fistfight with another grandpa. It is kind of sad though because he fights against one of his best friends and Lena feels like it was all her fault. However, she doesn't know how to tell her grandparents the truth.
I loved this book. It taught me that everyone has ups and downs. The downs you have to deal with and the ups you cherish and appreciate. I strongly recommend this book for any girl or women as young as 10.

Summary: Cool
Review: Four girls, four best friends, seperate for the summer. The book switches from girl to girl describing their experiances. Tibby encounters a friendship with a young girl, that she won't ever forget about. She gets her first job, and lives with riding just a bike around. Bridget, the boy crazy teenager manages to fall in love at a all girls soccer camp. She crushes over the droolworthy counsular. Lena finds herself in a different country with her grandparents who only speek greek. She thinks Koskos is spying on her, but who knows? And lastly, Carmen, with her not so american look goes to visit her dad to find he's got another wife, and two different kids. She has to experiance living with another family of blonde hair blue eyed people, and live through the wedding.

Cute book, I just couldn't believe the girls were 16. It sounded as if they were 14 at the max. The whole idea of the pants was kind of stupid. I believe the book could of done without the pants, but it's still cute, a quick read!
