Summary: Suprisingly Good "Sisterhood"
Review: "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" follows four teenaged best friends, Lena, Tibby, Bridget and Carmen, as they spend a summer apart. Carmen purchased a pair of jeans at a thrift shop quite some time earlier; before they go their separate ways for the summer, the girls vow to send the pants quite literally around the world, going from friend to friend. Each girl has her own storyline: Tibby inadvertantly makes a younger friend and tries not to be embarrassed by her first job; Lena visits her grandparents in Greece and paints to her heart's content; Bridget makes goals and wins over an older counselor at soccer camp; and Carmen tries to cope with the news that her father is getting remarried. Personally, I found Tibby's story to be the most heartwrenching, but the girls and their trials were vastly different and will make the book appeal to a broad range of readers. Very enjoyable read, with more depth and realism than one might expect due to the title. I definitely recommend this book to those who like movies and books about strong female characters and friendships, ranging from Have a Nice Life to Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood to Mystic Pizza.

Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: I thought this book was pretty good. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids though, because it had some things in it that would be inappropiate for them. It's a great story of friendship and learning values. You should read it if you're older.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: This book was awesome! My group of friends pass around books and this one was by far one of the best all of us have read. The adventures of the girls were touching, exciting, and funny. The book involves things that most teenage girls can relate too and can sympathize with.

Summary: great book
Review: this book is great to read anywhere, for any girl. if you're happy, read this book. if your sad, read this book. If you're sappy and pmsing, read this book. get ready to cry, because you're laughing so hard or because it's the saddest, truest thing you've ever read. this book really changed the way I think and made me set it down many times to think, recover, or smile. Not neccesarily in that order lol. If you like stargirl from jerry spinelli you'd like this book too.

Summary: Wow!
Review: This is hands down the best book I have ever read in my life.Speaking as an 11 year old I have no experince with those kinds of things but im sure I will. This is a book that says "hey im not a perfect person.I make mistakes.Lots of them". But most of all it says keep it real. Your only human.I think this is a kick butt book.

Summary: Sisterhood takes on a whole new meaning
Review: This book was quite a read. Being a teenager going into the novel, I was expecting a mushy, love infested story of fashion. Instead I read about seemingly real teenaged girls with very real problems. Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen each embark on a summer that's unlike any other. Beautiful Lena's off to Greece to reluctantly fall in love and cause havoc amongst the Greeks. Athletic Bridget is off to Baja to soccer camp, where she falls in love with a 20 something conselor, big no-no=big heartbreak. Tibby befriends a dying young girl who gives her insight on what life's all about. Carmen deals with her father's new family and a feeling that her Puerto Rican self is unworthy. despite being totally different, the girl's constantly write each other and share their most heart wrenching secrets. Their emotional turmoil is broken by a pair of jeans they, deem as magic. For some reason, the jeans make each girl who wears them feel like a queen. Though its just an issue of confidence and the aura projected by the jeans, you can't help but wonder if they really are magic. I didn't want to come to the last page of this book. Every female teen should at least read the back cover. Throughout the entire book, the reader is inspired by humorous quotes that foreshadow the trials and tribulations the character will face in that chapter. A highly recommended read.

Summary: Great Friendship Book:::Sister Hood of TheTraveling Pants
Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was an amazing book. It begins with a pair of thrift shop jeans that one of the girls buys. When she decides to give them away to one of her best friends, the other two want to try them on. As they put them on, they fit all the girls...and the girls were many different shapes, sizes, and nationalities. The night that they discovered the pants was the girls last night together until summer ended. Each girl had her own place to go...he own summer to explore and experiece new friendships and new loves. Carmen plans to bond with her father over the summer. She pictured the summer perfect; playing tennis with him and doing all the fun things they always did when her parents were still together...
Bridgette leaves to attend a soccer camp in Baja, California and ends up falling for the older but cute counslor. They have a few steamy nights but she realizes that she can't have him. Not sure what she learned...lol
Lena is the quiet one who refuses to fall in love with guys. She takes the pants on a journey to greece to stay with her grandparents. Her grandparents wanted her to fall in love with a neighbor but Lena refuses...
It was a great book that resulted in the reunion of the girls. READ IT!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This book is a really great read! It's about 4 girls who are all away for the summer, and share their experiences through a pair of just regular old, blue jeans. This book made me laugh, made me cry, and made me remember some of MY experiences like the girls in this book go through. It's probably the kind of book that girls/women would enjoy reading more then boys or men, but...all around...Ann Brashares has a very impressive writing style! I have reccomended this book to a lot of my friends, and I will continue to do so....you won't be wasting your time reading this!

Summary: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. It's an easy read, yet well written and insightful. At the time that I read this book I was going through or had gone through more than half of the situations presented in this book. Anne Brashares obviously remembers what it is to be a teenager. It also has clever quotes interspersed with and pertaining to the action. My favorite (although it may not be exactly as presented in the book) was "If you have an enemy, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you're a mile away from them and you have their shoes."
Every teenage girl will identify with the characters in this book, yet it manages to be original and fresh at the same time, complete with a wonderfully happy ending so sweet it's reminiscent of a fairy tale. I recommend it.
