Rating: Summary: DESERVES A BILLION STARS Review: THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK IN THE WORLD!!!! I THINK IT'S THE BEST BOOK ON EARTH. I WISH I COULD GIVE IT A BILLION STARS!!!!
Rating: Summary: Very Sweet Review: The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants is a very sweet story about four fifteen-year old best friends who spend their first summer apart. Carmen, one of the friends, owns these used blue jeans--the magical pants. Each one of the four friends looks fabulous in the pants--they decide to share the pants over the summer as a reminder of their friendship and head their separate ways. Carmen goes off to spend the summer with her father, only to discover he is engaged to a woman with a family of her own. Tibby stays home and works at a local store and befriends a younger girl with cancer. Bridget goes to Baja for soccer camp and falls for an older soccer coach. Finally, Lena travels to Greece with her sister to spend the summer with her grandparents. They mail the pants back and forth, but the story isn't really about the pants, it is about a strong friendhip among these four young women. It's an enjoyable, fairly squeaky clean story that I think anyone who has been fifteen, or looks forward to being fifteen, will enjoy.

Rating: Summary: Two Thumbs Up! Review: At first it was just a tad difficult for me to follow the adventures of each of the four girls in this cool book, hence the four stars instead of five. The point of view shifts a little too quickly in the beginning, but you'll more than likely get used to it. If you are looking for one of those novels that digs deep into the heart and soul of its main character(s), then "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" isn't for you. But if you are looking for a fun read that celebrates friendship and the things females go through as teenage girls, then you've picked up the right book! It was quite exciting to follow the girls on their separate adventures. It was like having four distinct stories all rolled into this one quick read. It makes me look forward to reading Part Two already. :)
Rating: Summary: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is one of the best books I have ever read. (Trust me on this; I read A LOT.) The story focuses on these four best friends who find this pair of presumably 'magical' pants at a second-hand store. Although all four girls are of very different sizes and builds, the pants fit each girl perfectly. As the girls embark on their first summer apart, they decide that the only way to keep their friendship truly alive would be to share the pants by mail. The Pants would be witness to all the big events throughout their summer, and would be a way to connect them while they are apart. There is Lena, the introverted beauty, who goes to Greek to visit her grandparents for the summer and ends up falling in love with a boy out their and not knowing how and whether to tell him how she feels. There's emotional, Puerto-Rican Carmen, who goes out to South Carolina to spend time with her father, only to discover that he's engaged to a snotty woman with two blond kids. Tibby, the rebel, becomes a friend of a twelve year old girl, a rebel herself, who is dying of cancer. And Bridget, the hard-core athlete, goes to soccer camp in Baja only to find herself in lust with one of her coaches. At times hilarious and at others emotionally intense, 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' is a great book for teenage girls. It gives us an in-depth look at the world, and shows us how four very different girls found their identities.
