Summary: Perfect Book
Review: This book really was perfect. It was funny and though the situations were like nothing that have ever happened in my life they are situations that are realistic and could happen. It's really nice that the four friends are totally different from each other and there really is someone that every reader could relate to or see parts of themselves in.

Summary: Not that great.
Review: I've heard so much about this book, and waited 2 months to get it from my library. I read it, getting more and more frustrated. The writing was plodding, the plot was tired and stereotypical of a teenage book, and the only cool thing about the entire book was Lena's section. Tibby's bit was entertaining, but eventually got bogged down. This book had such a unique idea. In all honesty, Tibby and Lena's sections were tolerable. The other two characters I ended up hating.

Summary: Enter the Pants
Review: I love this book. It has good characters that you can connect with, four different heart breaking plots, tears, laughter and thoughtful silence. I can definetely relate to all these girls somehow; Bridget, Carmen, Tibby and Lena all form one person that touches my heart and starts me thinking about lots of different things. Things I haven't thought about it a long time. I wouldn't recommend it,actually, to anyone under thirteen, though, because some things the book covers aren't good things for younger kids to read. I didn't know what to expect when I bought the book, but I'm serious. I don't recommend it to anyone under thirteen, unless a parents is aware of the book and what is in it.

Summary: I Loved it!
Review: The title may turn you away, but underneath the cover is a wonderful, well written book. The four girls have a great bond, and it grows with everything that happens to them over the summer. This book is great, and I hope that everyone who reads it enjoys it! I thought it was a little confusing at first because it jumps from one story to the next, but it was really easy to understand after the first chapter.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!
Review: This would be the equivalent of a chick flick, but it's such a great one! The teenage characters are vivacious and unique. They thrive on their independence, as well as their friendship with one another. I read a lot, and this is a great "curl up and be cozy" book.

Summary: Special in many ways
Review: This first book by author Brashares is wonderful. I can hardly wait to read the sequel that is now out. Although it is catagorized as YA/teen, I found it a marvelous read. It is one of the better written books I have read in awhile. Too bad this kind of writing wasn't available when I was a youth. The voice of each of the four girls is unique and lets the reader inside. The girls experience life on their own for the first time. The pants are the link to their friendships. Each brings something unique to the group. A great coming of age book that I believe is more realistic to the majority than not. A fresh approach by a fresh storyteller. I do believe most readers from 12 on will enjoy this book.

Summary: A Summer Must Have!
Review: It all started at an aerobics class. Four mothers, all expecting babies in a few weeks, were working together at class. The mothers were good friends and had their kids within 17 days of each other. After that, the kids were inseparable. They spent every summer together for the past 15 years until this one.
Carmen, the 'big butt' Puerto Rican, whose parents are divorced is going down to South Carolina to see her dad. She doesn't get to see her dad that often, so she is excited to spend quality time with him. Little does she know that by going down there, she will have the worst time of her life. Lena is going to Greece to visit her grandparents and it turns out that while she thought she was having a miserable time, it would get worse before it got better. Bridget goes to Baja California for soccer camp and goes a little too wild. She is headstrong and it takes her straight towards disaster. Tibby is fortunate and sarcastic. She stays home and meets an understanding person who is influential in many ways.
The night before leaving, the girls try on jeans. Magically they fit each of the girls perfectly. They all agree that the pants will be passed from person to person throughout the summer.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants takes you on each person's summer adventures with and without the pants. Throughout this book there are mistakes to be made and lessons to be learned. Anyone who is even slightly interested in the book should read it.

Summary: Good Summer Fun
Review: I recommend The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants to everyone.
The book is about four best friends that are all different shapes and fit into these one pair of pants. The friends all decide these pants must be magical.
Tibby is your typical teenager, unsure of herself and learning new things everyday. Carmen is the kind of person who holds everything in and doesn't speak her mind. Bridget, on the other hand, is outspoken and will do anything for attention. Lena is the quiet one who you'd never guess would go skinny-dipping.
When the friends split up and go away for the summer the only thing connecting the together is the pants. When they feel alone or unwanted the pants are there to help them through it. The pants have rules, and must be sent to all of the friends for equal amount of time.
I absolutely loved this book it was great. You can laugh with the girls and cry with them enjoying the book altogether. If you're looking for a great book to read this summer this is the right book for you!

Summary: Hate reading...This book is for YOU!
Review: 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants' is a book about four best friends who have spent every summer since they were born together'Except this one. This summer, three of the four girls are leaving home to go to very different parts of the world. Lena and her sister Effie go to Greece to visit their grandparents. Little does Lena know Grandma has a surprise waiting for her. Carmen goes to South Carolina to spend the summer with her Dad, but is met with an unfortunate surprise. Bridget goes to Baja, California for a summer soccer camp, and realizes that acting on impulse isn't always the best thing to do. And Tibby stays home to work at a local drug store, where she meets very interesting people, one of whom will change her life drastically. Even though the girls are very far apart, they are kept together by the Pants. The Pants play an important part in each girls' summer. It gives them courage and strength in ways the never thought possible. I believe the Pants deserve to be considered as one of the main characters because they gave each girl an extreme amount of confidence to do things they never thought they could, whether those things are good or bad. This summer each girl has learned a valuable lesson while on the journey to finding herself in an ever-changing world.
The four girls have very different personalities, which shine through during their vacations. Lena is an introverted person who is very untrusting, especially when it comes to boys. Carmen is emotional and very self-conscious about her body. Tibby is an alternative girl who in some ways needs to be different. Bridget is an athletic, very active girl who is 'single-minded to the point of recklessness;' she doesn't always know when to stop.
This is a great book for not just teenagers, but adults too. There is at least one character that someone can relate to. While reading this book I found myself saying, 'Wow I know how that feels.' I found this book to be one of my favorites and will definitely be recommending this to all of my friends. I think this book was exciting and entertaining. This book was so great, the day after I finished it I went to the bookstore and bought the sequel, 'The Second Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.' I absolutely positively recommend everyone go get both of these fantastic books right away!

Summary: Do you hate reading? This book is for you.
Review: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was a book about four best friends, four different summers and four unique experiences. The last day that Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget were all together they found a pair of pants. These were no ordinary pants, they were magical because they fit each different body type perfectly. These pants visited each girl at one time or another during the summer, and kept the girls feeling like they were all together.
The book showed love, hope, fear and passion all in everyone's summer. This was a truly a great book, because it was so interesting that you couldn't put it down. The day I finished it I went out to get the sequel. I would recommend this book for late middle school and up. Even if you're someone like me who didn't like reading before, this book will get you to enjoy reading and wanting to read more.
