Rating: Summary: It makes you think! Review: This book is easy to read and it really makes you think about the meaning of your life. We all know what is important in our lives but this author gives practical examples to achieve peace in every day living.

Rating: Summary: Sensible and worth re-reading Review: It's easy to dismiss this little book as simplistic, with its two-page chapters and "obvious" advice. But it focuses on basic, simple truths that most of us forget from day to day. The key is putting events in perspective: Asking "Will this be important a year from now?" may help you lead a calmer, less stressful life. This is a fast read, and worth reading several times.
Rating: Summary: This is a deceptively powerful little book. Review: Every physician should prescribe two pages of this book to be read with lunch--or morning coffee. It's probably going to decrease the stress level in nearly all who read it, and those benefits will ripple on to the people the readers interact with afterward. This book is a little gem! I particularly appreciate, since I am an atheist, that there is almost no religion involved in the author's suggestions (except for one tiny chapter that can be ignored by people like me).
Rating: Summary: Loved this Book Review: I am someone who can't read self-help books, as much as I've tried....this book was the easiest to read and made the most sense. All the advice is so helpful in my everyday life..I actually bought a copy for a friend, I've never done that in my life! Do yourself a favor and go buy this book, even if you need no help, it's a very entertaining book!!
Rating: Summary: If you live and work in NYC, BUY THIS BOOK! Review: A true surival guide for those who work in a world where a six to seven day week has become common place.
Rating: Summary: Don't sweat the small stuff, and this book is small stuff! Review: I gave this book a chance because I have an anxiety disorder and need to learn not to "sweat the small stuff." I found some interesting
and useful advice in the first few pages. Unfortunately, it then deteriorated into a list of social obligations that would turn a person into a wet noodle, who always tries to please everyone else no matter what, and always has to be wrong and take the criticism of everyone else.
The Author would have done better to expand the sections that stick to the theme of the book's title, and leave out the many redundant or trite sections. They seem to have been put there just to bring the number of suggestions to a magic 100.
Rating: Summary: exceptional advice to help with life. Review: The pages of this book turn like a John Grisham novel. Everyone should read this book and if they implement just a handful of the tips that Dr. Carlson writtes about, the world would be a much better place. I'm convinced
Rating: Summary: One of the Clearest Thinkers of Our Time Review: Dr. Carlson has distilled, in simple prose, the great themes of the major philosopohers and the great religions. His insight into human nature and what really makes people happy is refreshing in an age of appearance, hype and selfishness. Dr. Carlson will be one of the great writers of our time
Rating: Summary: mind candy Review: A book with "ideas" this obvious and "chapters" this brief (about a page each) makes you appreciate genuine thinkers such as Deepak Chopra. Carlson's book, on the other hand, is nothing more than new-age, feel-good pablum minus any lasting benefits. I defy the reader to recount its "thesis," or even recollect any specific points. Save your money. The author hasn't earned it
