Rating: Summary: Designed for stupid people Review: This book is full of sentimental appeals to authority; along with reckless disregard for evidence, complicated ideas, policies and organizations.A simpleton's view of the world. Glenn's target audience are mentally defective automatons who like their news serve on an idealogical platter.
Rating: Summary: This is supposed to be for book REVIEWS!!!! Review: This is supposed to be a forum for people who have read the book. The majority of the "one star " reviews come from people who have not read the book. Be honest with yourselves, if you have nothing better to do with your time than bash people with different view points than you---YOU NEED THIS BOOK MORE THAN ANYONE. Remember, it is easier to read with open eyes.
Rating: Summary: The Real America Review: RE: Education Reform a Cheap Labor agenda? I would preface by agreeing with another review and say that because I have not read the book I should not be allowed to write a review. However, because I can I will proceed to avow that it is unfortunate for the liberal left that they cannot peer through the rhetoric of their own party-line to see the truth. To refer to and associate Education Reform with a cheap labor relationship is absurd. Education Reform is not an attempt to dumb-down the unfortunate who are not benefited from an over-burdened National School System, it is a motion to address the morality that many American families choose to turn their back on. That is the opportunity to take advantage of spending more quality time with their children. The sooner we understand that there is more to learn through interaction with family with the intent to reestablish the importance of, simply, the desire to learn and understand, and to be educated, then will we start to see the confidence we so desire that will allow the country to address the afflictions that will further hinder the National Consciousness.
Rating: Summary: I haven't read the book... Review: ... and therefore should not have the ability to write a review. This forum is obviously skewed as evidenced by all the "worst book I ever read" type entries here. They are obvious left wing extremist comments. Amazon should restrict reviews to those people that actually purchase the book from Amazon.
Rating: Summary: Rhetorical Masterbation Review: This is a book for the right-wing who are firmly set in their ideological ways. Close-minded folks like these see the world in black and white. "You're either with us or agaisnt us," or "you're either liberal or conservative." This leads to their simple-minded or retarded view of the world. As an Australian, I am fortunate to have an outsiders view but, this excessive stupidity on America's conservative groups is mind boggling. It's like a permanent race of buffoons with fascist tendencies. For those who like Glenn Beck, Grow up. There is no such thing as santa claus and George W. Bush stole the election from Al Gore.
Rating: Summary: The second worst book ever written Review: I disagree with the previous reviewer. The worst book in the world is Ann Coulter's book Slander. Glenn Beck's book is the second worst book in the world. I threw up also. I'm glad this guy isn't on tv because he is as ugly as a loon.
Rating: Summary: The worst book ever written Review: This is the worst book ever written. I think I can take a dump on a piece of computer paper and it would be more intelligent than the pile of manure that is Glenn Beck's book. New agers make me cringe and when the new age and the Republicans are coupled, that's enough to make a man puke.
Rating: Summary: Glenn Beck is nasty Review: This guy should have not put himself on the cover. I never seen anybody so ugly in my life. Yuck! As far as the book goes, I was glad there wans't any more pictures of him. The book sucks by the way. Glenn Beck is probably a virgin. Yuck!
Rating: Summary: Absolute trash Review: You have to be stupid to like this book. Pages and pages of crap. I think I'm dumber from reading this book. Please Help.
Rating: Summary: THIS is how America *SHOULD* be... Review: My wife and I absolutely loved this book. It was funny, insightful, and thought provoking. I was amazed at the negative reviews - those people obviously did not read the book at all (or they didn't get past the table of contents). Even if you don't agree with him, there is NOTHING in this book that is hateful (I believe someone commented that it bordered on racist...that must be the same type of person that believes any sort of honest disagreement with someone of color MUST be racist). Listen to the show, and there are many African-Americans that call in..and I have never heard one of them claim he was racist. But I digress - both the book and the radio show are hilarious. I would not hesitate to recommend this book.
