Rating: Summary: This book give you an unfair advantage over you competition. Review: Own a place in your customer's mind. This is the most powerful concept in marketing and this book shows you how. I've got an MBA and this book puts all those lectures and case studies to shame. This is THE book. It would be worth the price if it were $200 per copy. I'm serious. If you are interested in marketing anything, you better know these so-called laws. RICHARD WEDDLE.
Rating: Summary: The Marketing Cooking book Review: A well written book about classic marketing approaches and how to avoid common failure in the real world. Easy to read and entertaining for its purpose.
Rating: Summary: Great intro or refresher on marketing fundamentals Review: 22 Immutable Laws is a great little book to either wet your appetitie or remind you of what not to do. After reading this be sure to get their other books on Positioning, these longer books go into depth about the logic behind the "Laws". Ries and Trout have great insights into the discipline of marketing, even if your a pro you'll get something out of them.
Rating: Summary: More about Process Engineering Marketing PLS. Review: Too many books about marketing mention about IMB, XEROX,GM,MICROSOFT, etc... . It would be interesting to have more about marketing of engineering processes vs marketing of products for mass consumption. Marketing a product "off the shelf" and an"industrial process" are two different stories. This aspect of marketing is often neglected by those writing books on marketing. .
Rating: Summary: Worth reading to keep the KISS principle alive. Review: Enforces the Keep It Simple Stupid principle. The book is aneasy two hour read. Covers some interesting points that are worth reminding yourself about from time to time. A marketing bible it is not, a guideline and thought provoking text it is! I feel if you have read Crossing The Chasm, Geoffrey Moore, you will blend these laws in well to come up with a total picture of the product marketing life cycle. Bob Ballantyne

Rating: Summary: THE BEST SINGLE BOOK ON MARKETING EVER WRITTEN! Review: Save money. Take a pass on your MBA Marketing degree and just read all the books by Al Ries & Jack Trout. Especially this one, followed by Bottom Up Marketing, and then Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind. I have read this book at least 5 times (and portions of it even more) and am even more impressed every time. Furthermore, I started a business based on these Laws of Marketing, and can vouch for the wisdom that these gentlemen have been kind enough to share. This is an absolute CLASSIC that is absolutely riveting! Don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: A fierce! Review: This book is a must read for everyone involved with corporate decisions. Surely one of the best business related books I've read. The only drawback is that the authors do not take conjunctives between theories (chapters) into account. Sometimes it's too easy to find discrepancies of what you should or shouldn't do.
Rating: Summary: A Crash Course in Marketing Review: This book is exactly what its title suggests. But what makes it so valuable is that each principle is backed with numerous specific examples from virtually every industry segment. To the marketing novice, this should be a first read ... a must read ... and a subsequent reference. To the marketing expert, this is a great validator and benchmark. There is valuable insight on marketing strategy for virtually all marketers lurking in the pages of this title. This lands on my top ten for all topics
Rating: Summary: Don't risk it !!! Review: Are you trying to sell an idea or a product or a service to someone. If yes, you need this book. I have been using the laws mentioned in this book and they have transformed the way my business is doing.
The book is written with an "I don't care what you think -- I say it like it is" attitude. It converts several 'sacred cows' to 'hamburger'. Read it or perish
