Rating: Summary: DO NOT PASS THIS UP! Review: The most objective book I have read on the subject. With all the facts.
Rating: Summary: I must have missed the boat (or UFO) Review: Since all the other reviews rate this book a 10, potential buyers should know this book is not exactly convincing. I was very excited to get this book and read a critical examination of UFO evidence. This book is NOT a critical examination of anything. It starts with a few false arguments then bases the rest of the book on these same arguments. For example: Eduard Meier (the man who claimed multiple contacts, hoaxed hundreds of photos and movies) is admitted to be a con man by the author then in the next paragraph will be used as an example of proof of alien visitation to our planet. This entire book is statements of: This has been shown to be false, but what if 1% of it is true? Apparently that 1% of doubt that anything could be true then makes it true in the author's eyes. I started this book with a interest in UFOs and ended with an embarassing feeling of how gullible humans are. I do not rate the book a one because many of the theories put forth are worth the entertainment value of reading them and laughing (alternative 3 is my favorite!)
Rating: Summary: One Line Cannot Possibly Sum It Up Review: This book is incredibly well-researched, intelligent, at times, unnerving. The doggedly thorough (and fair) journalism will convince even the greatest skeptic (formerly, me). I'd say this is one of the most important new books out there.
Rating: Summary: One of the best UFO books I've read. Review: This book, along with "Above Top Secret," and"Alien Contact," both by Timothy Good, are must-reads foranyone interested in UFO's. I would recommend reading Mr. Good's two books first (in the order listed), then this one. Some of the information in this book stretches the boundaries of belief, but it is well-researched and presented in an intelligent and rational manner, as are Mr. Good's books. This is a quality book on the UFO subject.
Rating: Summary: Well worth it... Review: Great book. Next time you're at the bookstore (or here at Amazon, :) ) staring at the endless supply of new UFO books, wondering if everybody but you has written one, take heart and pick this book up. It's a definite cut above all the other cheap paperback "noise", and if nothing else, provides a fascinating new way of looking at our moon.
Rating: Summary: Winner of Excellence in UFO Reporting Review: Winner of Excellence in UFO Reporting goes to Jim Marrs for his search for answers to the alien agenda. The Pulitzer-prize winning investigative reporter doesn't take the subject lightly but digs and finds details not seen elsewhere. Like any in-depth investigation, you'll not be able to read the book in an afternoon. A book that keeps on giving, it's a real value for the price. I only wonder why Marrs' counterparts who call themselves journalists could have been asleep when this was released. WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION! ALIEN AGENDA should sit on your bookshelf along with ABOVE TOP SECRET and DAY AFTER ROSWELL. Is the alien agenda, theirs, ours or both? Read this book and find out.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, well-researched book! Review: A well-researched book and a "must read" for students of Ufology, debunkers and skeptics alike. For those of you who have been avoiding this issue it is time to become informed. The author sums it all up in his introduction: "To get beyond..a restrictive mindset, one must be open to all possibilities-to seriously consider alternative theories and explanations". If you had a restrictive mindset when you started this read you won't when you're finished!
Rating: Summary: Alien Agenda is a must read - and a great read! Review: Whether you believe in UFOs, ancient astronauts and government coverups or not, "Alien Agenda" should be on your reading agenda.
Marrs is a consummate storyteller, and has gone to great lengths to research the lore of Ufology. Unlike some of the more spaced-out UFO authors, Marrs does not shy away from pointing out inconsistencies and hoaxes. That only made him more believable when he addressed some of the more troubling ET encounters.
All in all, a balanced and well-written account which I do not hesitate to recommend to believers and unbelievers alike.
Rating: Summary: This is the Best UFO Book that I have ever read! Review: OK, sounds kind of hokey. But it really is a fantastic book. If you want a most comprehensive study into the entire UFO "world", this is the book for you. It reads well. It is written in an enjoyable style. It is thought provoking, and lends itself to other areas of investigation. If there is one book that I would recommend for the study of UFO's, then this is the book. I can't see how anyone wouldn't enjoy this book. Whether or not you believe in the alien UFO lore, you have to admit, this book puts it all out there. I would say that this is the kind of book that you would grab with both hands and gobble it down in a weekend. What a wonderful read!
Rating: Summary: Review Review: This book is excellent, and well written. Jim Marrs has numerous account of reliable and meticulous fact to back up the fact that aliens are amongs the human population. Mythologys, folklores, tales, and ancient stores have similar background of "God and Goddness" coming from space, and having contact with the ancient civilization account for the fact that the author can maintain an open mind of how the past can related to the present and futures. Crops circles, cattle mulitation, abduction, and aerial sighting are just some of things of Jim Marrs talk about in this incrediable book. Also, the numerous account of remote viewing show how accurate the possibilities of the highly number of different race of aliens existed in our galaxy. The connection between the past and present can open the mind for the futures coming, and I recommended the book for anbody who have an open minded, and wanted to seek the truth of the reality of aliens, ufos, and other subject that seem out of the world.
