Rating: Summary: Caps for Sale Review: Caps for Sale was an interesting book. I read it to my little brother one night. He is learning to sign and enjoyed signing all the colors and hat over and over. I feel that this would be an excellent book for a 3 or 4 year old. They will enjoy how the monkeys copy everything. I feel that this book could even teach the kids that if you use your head you can get what you really want, because think if the peddler would have just noticed that the monkeys were doing exactly what he was doing. He could have got his hats back alot easier. It's definitly a good childrens book.
Rating: Summary: It's my toddler's favorite book. Review: I loved this book when I was young. I picked it out for my daughter because it brought back such fond memories from my own childhood. It's now become her favorite book to read. We both know it by heart. We enjoy adding activities to the storyline. My 2 1/2 year old enjoys acting out the movements of the peddler and the monkeys. When it gets to "...and what do you think he saw?" we go through a list of many things he might see up in a tree - even though we know it's "Monkeys!" Turning the page to find the monkeys is always a thrill for her. This is a must have book in any children's book collection. I highly recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A Captain Kangaroo Classic Review: I loved this story when I was a child and have read it to my own children so many times we all have it memorized. I remembered it from the Captain Kangaroo show and almost cried with joy when I found it in a book store. My girls love to act out the story while I read it to them.
Rating: Summary: kids love it Review: I read this book aloud to 3-5 year olds. It is one of those books the kids love to join in on, once the monkeys show up. You can really animate this book by giving it personality with your voice. After a few reads, the kids are reading it to you. They learn the story almost immeadiately. It can make anyone a captivating storyteller. The big book addition of this is perfect for circletime. Teaches colors, as well.

Rating: Summary: Classic - A Must in Everyone's Library Review: I recall this story when I was a child and it's one I searched and searched for to make sure my Daughter's has it too. It's especially fun to act it out and before you know it your child will do the entire story for you. Great tale of MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO.
Rating: Summary: A favorite book throughout generations Review: My four month old loves this book. Well, since he can't read, he loves it when Mommy and Daddy act out the story. I have great memories associated with this book; going to the library when I was younger, getting to pick only one or two books, and usually this was one of them (unless it was one being returned!) It's never easy to get my husband very 'into' reading books to our son, but this one is a cinch -- with all the stamping and shaking of fists, he can easily demonstrate and then have our son imitate with a little help. For a father who got frustrated because his son couldn't wrestle and play baseball five minutes after birth, this was a godsend. And little Alekz thinks Daddy is hilarious. From my generation to his, this is a wonderful book!
Rating: Summary: Monkey See, Monkey Do Review: My kids like books about monkeys, but they LOVE this one. There are so many elements that entertain in Esphyr Slobodkina's book: the logistics of wearing multiple hats, mischievous monkeys, and the escalating antics of the peddler and his foils. We have shelves of books at home and this is a constant favorite for both of our kids, ages 2 and 5. Every time we read it they smile and wag their fingers, saying "Tsz, tsz, tsz."
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Classic! Review: My kids love this book! It can be used to teach the concept of equal...counting the peddler's hats and matching them to the number of monkeys. "Hurry and turn the page!"
Rating: Summary: A classic Review: My three-year-old loves this book. We borrowed it from the library and she liked it so much, we had to buy it. She loves the surprise ending!
