Rating: Summary: Entertaining but Frustrating Review: Sophie Kinsella needs very much to stop here. The first book was excellent, the second was good, but I would definitely rate this one as fair. I love Becky's character and I can identify with her financial challenges and her inability to pull herself away from a Prada sale, however, I have trouble finding the situation she got herself into this time as believable. It was fun, which is why it got the three star rating, but if I see a "Shopaholic has twins" book on the shelf I think that I will walk on by! I think this author is incredibly talented and I am eagerly awaiting her next character!
Rating: Summary: Hilarious! Review: I loved the Shopaholic series, and this is no dissapointment. I laughed from start to finish and am truly won over.
Rating: Summary: The best one yet!! Review: This book kept me laughing the whole way through!! i loved how becky pretended to not want to get married. ("Ten years?" Mum looked like she was about to cry.) LOL!! and how Luke finally found out the weren't____ at the ____. heehee! so funny and adorable as well!
Rating: Summary: Fun & Entertaining Review: This book was very good, not as great as the first too, but then again, this point of view is coming from a very single girl. I don't usually read much, but love this fun and entertaining book, which was a quick read, even for me, a slow reader. I don't think you can go wrong with this or any of the shopaholic books!!
Rating: Summary: Buy this book! Review: This book is fabulous for every woman but is certainly a must-read for any bride to be. With it's long in coming resolution, it keeps you reading, dying to know what is going to happen. You will laugh at loud as you read it. The farther you read, the funnier it gets!
Rating: Summary: Fun summer reading Review: In this third installment of the SHOPAHOLIC series, Becky is just as out of control as ever! After finally grabbing the man of her dreams, living a much enviable life as a personal shopper at Barney?s New York (how totally apropos for the irrepressible Miss Bloomwood), and watching her best friends marry in a rather wild wedding, our Becky lands AN ENGAGEMENT RING as well! But to top it all off, she is inundated with her obsessed mother, who is determined to have a backyard garden wedding in Oxshott, England, and her social-aggrandizing mother-in-law, who entices her with a fantasy wedding at the Plaza Hotel in all its resplendent manner! Given the obvious quandary, no wonder our ?heroine? is up to her usual antics!Of all the SHOPAHOLICS, I really enjoyed this one. The first two focused entirely on Becky?s arrested development and manic shopping habits at the expense of everything else in her life. Although hilarious, it was frustrating after 600 pages (two books!). However, this third installment enters into the arena of wedding planning, over-excited mothers, and over-bearing mother-in-laws, and therefore redeems itself as a book ALL prospective or past brides can identify and laugh with. Buy it for your Bride-zilla best friend? it will put a perspective on things! Read it to laugh, if only to remember how planning your own wedding was like. It?s fluff, but that?s okay.
Rating: Summary: Best One Yet Review: This is hands down my favorite book of the series. I read it on a plane and laughed aloud the whole way. I was still reading it at the baggage carousel, driving my husband insane because I was at the end and HAD to see what happens and couldn't help look for the bags. I'll admit Becky's problems are a tad unrealistic, but hey, they made me forget my own for a few hours, and isn't what books are for? I even laughed at the sneak preview of Sophie Kinsella's next book, which was at the end. I can't wait until it comes out. I love Sophie and hope she continues to write such fun books for years to come.
Rating: Summary: Dragged on ... Review: It started off funny but then it dragged on. I wished she could have made up her mind which wedding she wanted. The ending was genius and gave Shopaholic closure.
Rating: Summary: what's fun about this? Review: I don't get it. Why am I still reading this book? And there is no real clear understanding of what Luke actually sees in Becky... their relationship makes no sense and is not fleshed out in any way. She is so shallow and basically has the same problem over and over - dishonesty! We are supposed to admire her - NOT! I do think that there are some fun characters - Robin the wedding planner and all of the extravagance of the ridiculous wedding are a lot of fun - but this girl really needs to get her act together. It's hard to sustain a book of this length over one idea - a girl who finds it impossible to tell the truth. This is no funnier than her shopaholicism... Why is this series so popular...
Rating: Summary: Can't Get Enough !!! Review: OMG, I Love Shopaholic. Once again I was not dissappointed in this one and I can't wait to Sophie Kinsella's next novel "Can You Keep A Secret". (I Just Wish There Were More In This Series).
