Summary: Well advertised but too touchy feely
Review: After reading all the online reviews for this CD I was really anticipating its arrival. Once I popped it into the CD player I was kind of disappointed. There is about a 5-minute intro into the meditation, which is fine at first, but there is no way to skip the track and go write to the meditation. And well, for the meditation itself, Susie does have a nice voice and the music is relaxing but I just thought a lot of the stuff she was saying was very touchy-feely. I was hoping for more of a guided meditation but her exercises are more of a visualization and kind of require you to participate so if you want something to just zone out to and nap or sleep then well it does not offer much in that way. You have to stay some what conscience to follow here visualization and sometimes her terms like "exhale all the Grey smoke from your body" ...that was a strange way to describe stress. The CD seems to have won an award and be highly acclaimed but I feel it is over exemplified and does not really deliver. If you are looking for a good visualization CD and you like the touchy freely stuff then this is for you but if you are looking more for something just to listen and zone out to then I recommend looking elsewhere.

Summary: Not as good as one would hope
Review: After reading the reviews here and noting that this was an award winning tape I decided to order it. I was very disappointed. If you are a beginner in meditation/relaxation training then this tape may be for you, but there are much better relaxation tapes on the market. As a licensed clinical therapist who works with stress management and relaxation I bought this to use in my practice. However after using it with several of my patients I can not report that they enjoyed it as much as some of the other reviewers here claim from their practices. Most requested that they be allowed to go back to other tapes that I use as they believed this tape felt like something just thrown together using a variety of techniques. I also feel that the techniques used on this tape were presented much better on other series that I own. I have put this tape on the shelve and just do not use it anymore. If this tape is your first introduction to relaxation you may find it enjoyable, but as you expand your training I think you will find that this tape becomes rather silly in its presentation. The background music and stream that comes in and out just feel thrown in as "something that should be done" on a relaxation tape. It is almost distracting. This "performance" is used on other relaxation tapes much more effectively. If you buy the tape I hope that you find it what you were looking for, but I am really afraid you will be dissappointed.

Summary: Finally... A good night's sleep!
Review: As a physical therapist in private practice for 28 years and treating patientswith chronic pain, I utilize Susie Mantell's masterpiece as part of a Fibromyalgia (and pain management) program. Our patients come away feeling relaxed and in control of their pain. Her beautiful voice, combined with her soothing words, allows our patients to feel more relaxed and live a better lifestyle. A fter listening to Susie Mantell's magical , "Your Present: A Half Hour of Peace", I have been able to not only enrich the lives of my patients, but my own as well.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: But it has not met my expectations. To me it seems to rushed and does not give good imagery or any relaxation exercises such as breating, or tense/relax. I rarely listen to it. For an excellent relaxation CD, buy Kalamalka Colors

Summary: I'm so relaxed!
Review: I am caring for my mom who has Alzheimers and this CD has helped me get back to relaxing and taking time for MYSELF everyday. I like that it is only 30 minutes. Also, Susie's voice is very soothing and easy to listen to. (I had to return a Wayne Dyer meditation CD because his voice wasn't conducive to meditation.)

Summary: Peace, Calm and Joy Close at Hand
Review: I can't tell you how many times I've listened to this tape. Whenever I'm stressed, overwhelmed, exhausted, or need a quick recharge, I listen to this tape and go into a quiet, luxurious world where all feels right again. It's amazing what the right words, the right sounds, the right pace and beautiful visualizations can do for one's head. After listening, it's like starting the day over again--from a really good place. I've also taken it with me on camping and backpack trips when I want to experience an ultimate peaceful high. What makes this tape work so well is that you get the feeling that the creator really cares, and has made this program just for you. I'd say it's one of the best little things I've gotten for myself in a long time.
