Rating: Summary: "...in Death" series are getting better and better Review: In this exciting installment of the "...in Death" series, Rapture in Death, Eve and Roarke are on their honeymoon on a planet that Roarke is turning into a resort along the lines of Vegas, in the futuristic sense in the year 2058. The resort is still under construction and so it's not open to the public as yet. While enjoying a relaxing stay at the luxurious hotel Eve finds she is investigating a suicide. One of the engineers working on the construction, a young man, hangs himself in his room. The odd thing about it being the peculiar smile or look of utter "rapture" on the man's face. Eve and Roarke return to New York and the suicides continue. Eve must find the link between the suicides and discover if they are really murders. This was one of my favorites in the "...in Death" series. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Gutsy (and just-married) Eve Dallas is back! Review: J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts) has created an intriguing main character in Eve Dallas, and nowhere is this more evident than in this novel. Eve, recently married and still getting used to being well-taken-care-of, must solve a mystery that involves a series of apparently-rapturous suicides. This novel explores virtual reality AND the amazingly satisfying relationship between Eve and Rourke, her new husband. As intriguing as Eve is, Rourke is equally breathtaking as the husband who wants to protect and spoil his new bride while also yearning for her love in return. Several beautifully written and explicit love scenes stand out in the midst of all the high-tech gadgetry and rough goings on. Many fictional couples become less interesting once they're married, but Dallas and Rourke break that mold and work together as a team fuelled by energy, sexual attraction, and mutual affection. Rourke is always ready to save his wife, but she very rarely needs saving. Kudos to Ms. Roberts for creating a heroine who can take care of herself and a hero who knows how to step back and watch her do so
Rating: Summary: An Interesting Blend of Romance and Mystery Review: J.D. Robb has found an interesting niche in this futuristic romantic series. Primarily a romance writer, her books are appealing but predictable. Stereotypical characters (rich guy meets average gal and falls hopelessly in love) are given lively originality. Still, the romance is fantasy in its purest form and is bound to capture the hearts of women everywhere who daydream about these same unlikely scenarios. Unfortunately, the series was recommended to me as a mystery series. While the crimes and police procedure of 2058 are a curiosity, Robb doesn't deliver any suspense. I mention this because when I reached this book, the 4th in the series, I knew instantly what the crime was going to be. And I mean instantly. I'll continue to read the series because I enjoy the characters, however implausible the situations. The books hit all the right buttons for those who love strong women with inner vulnerabilities; just don't expect to be challenged by the mystery elements.
Rating: Summary: J.D. Robb's enjoyable mixture of romance and murder. Review: J.D. Robb keeps getting better with her latest Eve Dallas & Roarke thriller. Hooked from the very beginning and couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Surprisingly good Review: J.D. Robb strikes gold with Rapture in Death. One of many great books by this vetran writer!

Rating: Summary: The latest in a HOT new series! Review: Ms. Roberts presents a dynamic and strong-willed couple in the future, coping with the same problems people face in
today's relationships. Of course, in this instance, the heroine is also a top detective in the NY police force, while her husband owns a multi-billion dollar business! It is interesting to watch the two of them progress in their
intimacy throughout the series, rather than having to fit it all in within 350 pages. Mysterious backgrounds for both
leading characters leave you in suspense, as a little more is revealed in each book. This is the best series Ms.
Roberts has written in years!
Rating: Summary: A darker book in the series Review: RAPTURE IN DEATH is the darkest of the J.D.Robb Eve Dallas novels. We see more of the detectives terrifying past life. Roarke, the gorgeous Irishman with the criminal past (and shady present), is now Eve's husband. He is shown at his worst, in an unsettling scene. Peabody, Mavis, and Feeny are fun as always, but there's a nasty layer to this book. Still, it's well written, and even though the characters are often shown in an unfavorable light, RAPTURE IN DEATH is a welcome addition to the series.
Rating: Summary: Loved it Review: Rorake and Eve are on their honey moon when someone is mysteriously found, hung and dead, in one of Rorake's off planet hotels. Then, two other aparent suicides take place. Are they really suicides...or homocides.
Rating: Summary: Rapture in Death Review: The Dallas series is probably the best ever written by Nora Roberts. I got more enjoyment from these books than I have from any of her others. I can usually take or leave her books. I started this series and had to read them all. When I finished my sister read them all. We can not wait for the new one due out this spring.
