Rating: Summary: Another great Alex Cross book. Review: Pop Goes the Weasel is a great read.I put everything aside for five hours so I could finish the book.Alex Cross continues to be interesting and the weasal is a good villian. My only compliant is the ending seemed a little rushed, but that is a minor gripe.Any money spent on Pop Goes the Weasel is money well spent.

Rating: Summary: Keeps you guessing until the end Review: James Patterson has created Alex Cross so well, that he can be hard to distinguish from reality. He is a wonderful father, an upstanding citizen, an excelent cop, and a brilliant psychologist.Pop Goes The Weasle, the latest installment of Alex Cross, gives his fans almost everything they could ask for and some they don't want!. Just when Alex is the happiest he has ever been, the events surrounding the latest psychokiller threaten to make this the worst time of his life (even worse than when his wife was killed). Will Alex pop the question to Christine? Will Alex prove to be a "bad cop", or worse yet a murderer? Will Alex lose what he holds dearest to his heart? Read this book, and these questions and more will reel you in and keep you hooked until the very last page. One caution! Don't read this book if you want a long read. I read this book in about 12 hours with no trouble!
Rating: Summary: I'd give it zero stars if it were an option Review: Tired, conventional, poorly written
Rating: Summary: GIVE ME MORE!! Review: Fantastic - another James Patterson hit!! I have become addicted to Alex Cross, John Sampson and the rest of the "crew"..Give me more!! Another thriller that kept the pages turning, as quickly as I could read. Edge of my seat suspense as I waited to find out Christine's fate and whether Alex would be the victor in another game of 'Cat and Mouse'...James Patterson, my question for you is: Can't you write faster? I wait months for your next release and read it in a night! Definately worth the read, especially if you are already a James Patterson/Alex Cross fan.
Rating: Summary: PATTERSON DOES IT AGAIN!!!! Review: I read THE MIDNIGHT CLUB and loved it and now I just finished POP GOES THE WEASEL. I loved it. Patterson can write and I love the short chapters. Alex Cross is a great character. I would recommend this and any of his others to anyone who likes good thrillers. But I don't like the title. I've discovered another writer named A.T. Nicholas who wrote a novel called THE FIST OF GOD. A supernatural thriller. It was phenomenal!!!! The style is fast paced and slick. And it's also set in Washington,DC and the main character is a homicide detective, who gets caught in the middle of a bizarre situation.
Rating: Summary: Fast paced but less filling Review: James Patterson's novels are junk food. He has a way of building up tension, but when the book is done, one is left wanting more. More what? More anything! How about a chapter that lasts more than 4 pages? How about some real characters who aren't either all fluffy nice and pure or the devil reincarnate? Alex Cross has a knack for getting in the way of serial killers and, what's worse, for always ending up with some sort of personal motives for hunting the killer down. He and his family are like magnets for these whackos. The Weasel is an intriguing character, in fact probably more interesting than Cross, but what he eventually boils down to is yet another in a long line of seemingly invulnerable villains, the Energizer bunnies of evil. In his dedication, Patterson mentions the fans who keep demanding that he write faster. I, for one, would be happier if he'd write more slowly, give more depth and pay attention to some details. In this book, twice in the span of about 40 pages, Cross delivers the same dramatic news to his family. The second time they behave as if they'd never heard it before. Maybe they skipped over the 3-page chapter where it was mentioned the first time. Skip the hardcover, buy the paperback and read it on a boring flight.
Rating: Summary: Great reading! Was not able to put it down! Review: James Patterson writes another entertaining novel. His latest work is a book readers dream. The characters and story move at an avid pace. As a readers you will never feel as if you could put this book down. Once again the character of Alex Cross is the main focus of the story as we go along with him on his latest journey and we learn a little more about the intricacies that make up the man. Recommended to all of James Patterson's readers and to those who will become new followers.
Rating: Summary: Another Exciting Alex Cross Book! Review: After Patterson's last disaster, When The Wind Blows,he has redeemed himself with his newest book, Pop Goes The Weasel. This story is very exciting but light in terms of character develoment, narrative style and basically most other literary elements which make for a well-written novel. However, these are not elements I, and I think many other readers', seek in a James Patterson book. With this said, I think you will enjoy Pop Goes The Weasel very much and find it a very, very fast read. The one minor flaw that I've found in this and other Alex Cross books is the totally unrealistic maturity level and dialogue voiced by Cross's seven year old daughter, Jannie. I'd suggest that in doing research for future books, Patterson should spend a little time finding out what real seven year olds are like.
Rating: Summary: James does it again..... Review: I have been reading all the Alex Cross books in order. I was impressed with this one. I especially liked the ending - there was a nice little twist to it. It is an easy book to read with nice short chapters - the only problem is you tell yourself you are just going to read one more and then before you notice you have read another 100 pages ! BEWARE.
