Summary: a joke
Review: Please. Errors galore. Reminded me of John Grisham's The Client which was a horrible book but a good movie. Seems written in a hurry for a movie with the hopes that actors could do something with it that wasn't in the writing. (If you do make this into a movie, please get someone other than Morgan Freeman as Alex. At least a young studly Alex would give it an extra star!)

Summary: Pop Goes The Weasel is a little flat
Review: Patterson has written another novel that comes out promising a bang of excitement. The author seems to be off to a good start with his usual descriptions of Cross' personal trials in life. Unfortunetly, as the action commences he skips long periods of time that leave the reader wondering what is missing. The avid Patterson reader is up-lifted when the book draws to an end in some what of a climax with promises to come. Hopefully the "average" rating of this book does not mean Patterson has given up on the Cross Legacy.

Summary: A good author gone BAD
Review: I have read every book Mr. Patterson has written. My first disapointment was, When The Wind Blows. I figured he was entitled to one stinker, but Pop Goes The weasel is so bad its even worse. He has destroyed a great character in Alex Cross and written an, almost, racial book. I don't know where all the racial references come from.

I also was getting sick of all the Nana, kids, girlfriend etc. It is almost a poorly written love story instead of a serial killer book.

The story is weak, the killer is unbeliveable as are most of the rest of the of the cast.

It is very sad when a author like Mr. Patterson loses it and twice in a row is too much.

There used to be two great Pattersons, now Richard North is all alone. Don't waste your money on this book.

Summary: The weakest entry in the Alex Cross series.
Review: I have read all the Patterson books featuring Alex Cross and like all series books they become increasingly routine and in the case of the current entry, downright dull. The bad guy(s) aren't menacing enough and the plot is so predictable that you know exactly what and when it will happen. Like Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta books, the Patterson books have become too dependent on his family life. In this one his girlfriend Christine becomes a main player. If you like a quick read without much thinking, then this one is for you.

Summary: pop goes the weasel
Review: Not one of Patterson's best. Being a Patterson fan I have read all his books that I could find. After waiting so long for this book, the next in the series of Alex Cross, I was very dissapointed. The charecters and story were not as developed and as suspensful as some of his past works. Well it was a quick read I hope it is not someones first Patterson read as it does not live up to his past works.

Summary: James Patterson Writes Another Thriller
Review: In 'Pop Goes the Weasel' Patterson weaves another thriller about a psycho-killer/family man & father who can't quit the 'game'. With his psychological and detective background, Alex Cross is involved in the 'game'. With stops in Bermuda, Jamaica and the other players being in the far east and London, he seems to get at the truth of the matter via his computer. All the time, Alex's personal life is in a state of turmoil. Little does he know that the Weasel is still alive and well at the end of the book!

Summary: Another Winner
Review: Once again he has done it. I have yet to be disappointed in an Alex Cross book. Light reading that keeps entertaining.

Summary: Editors/Proofreaders: Where are you!
Review: I am a voracious reader and like nothing better than a great plot and great writing. There's nothing worse than being completely engrossed in a book and then having glaring editing errors throw you out of the story! I've read the other reviews here and am glad that others noticed the same mistakes that I did. The same announcement to Cross's family on two different occasions; the recognition of a caller's voice, when in fact the previous contact was made by e-mail; and the fact that a conversation with the murderer's wife that occurs several days after one of the murders is remembered by Cross as having occurred on the night of the murder! For an author of Patterson's caliber, it would sure make a difference if he slowed down and the editors/proofreaders speeded up. I have enjoyed all of Patterson's books (with the exception of When the Wind Blows) up until now. Next time, rather than buying the book in hard cover, I'll get it from the library.

Summary: Excellent Book To Read
Review: Pop Goes The Weasel is an excellent book to read. It is the first book that I have read that is by James Patterson. I read this book in 4 days. Once you start it you won't be able to put it down. I recommend this book to anybody who likes mysteries or suspense.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Suspensful!
Review: I've never read a Patterson book, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. I couldn't put the book down. The only unbelievable part of the book was the baby being born....why did he have to add that in there....kind of ridiculous. Other than that, book was suspensful and I would recommend it for people who like suspense/murder/mystery type books.
