Summary: Good 1rst half!
Review: Your age is showing but the intrigue is as alive as ever! In spite of Toms preachy filler and sometimes glacial plot movement I am a huge fan. This thriller starts off with the normal Clancy hook and then drags us to a sprint in the middle of the story. Unfotunately it stops there.

WHAT HAPPENED??! Increasing from a book every two years to this "Tiger" in one has provided half a story. Even when a novel is short it needs to end.

My advice is to wait to the second part of this tale to be released and then read them back to back. I hate to put a book down in the middle but that is what Mr. Clancy has forced on us with The Teeth of the Tiger.

Summary: Doesn't live up
Review: It is exciting for Tom Clancy to introduce us to his second generation of heroes with a timely and exciting plot. It was, however, at times predictable and lacking in the poltical intrigue endemic of his other books. This was a fine read, but I wouldn't recommend it over his other works.

Summary: One of Clancy's best.
Review: After Without Remorse, I believe this novel to be Clancy's best. I am glad that Clancy has taken the route that he did. I read this book from cover to cover almost without stopping because I could not tear myself away. I am eagerly awaiting the subsequent novels in this series. I believe Jack Jr. and the Caruso twins are terrifically developed characters with both depth and intrigue. I think that anyone that rates this novel at less than 5 stars needs to read the book again.

Summary: Not tight enough plot
Review: I was glad to get the new novel in my hand, and enjoyed the book, but had nagging questions about the plot: How does a recent college grad, son of a mother and father who care for him, take a new job and his parents know nothing about it? How does the son of a President check in and out of hotels in Europe and not be connected with the intrigue that surrounds him?

This book ends with Jack, Jr., having taken unusual action with inadequate training and near catastrophic results. It's time he had a talk with his dad about what he's up to. If the next book does not start with a call to Jack, Sr., for confession and counsel, then Mr. Clancy, really doesn't understand family. The writer has occasionally touched on deep personal issues like religion and love, but may have given up on things deeper than kill or be killed. Clancy gives America a needed dose of that, but we're already dead if there is nothing more.

Summary: I finished it but I don't know why!
Review: Clancey can do better than this. I think he is cashing in on his name rather than writing a good book for himself. It was slow, actually boring and very predicatble. It almost was a bad screen play waiting of a movie contract. Just don't bother reading it. I recommend rereading an earlier book rather than waste your time & money

Summary: Not bad at all...
Review: (...)I found it to be an enjoyable read. Tom Clancy's detail really is second to none, and he is privy to information most of us cannot even guess about. My advice for anyone looking to read this book is do yourself a favor. Read it first instead of taking someone elses opinion and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tough Subject, Tough Choices, Brilliant Handling of Both
Review: Terrorism is bad stuff. Terrorists don't think the USA has the guts to resist them. We are not sure ourselves. While I read Clancy's latest I was not sure myself. Clancy bets that we do. I pray he is right. In "Tiger" he trots out some tools we can use to help solve the problem - things as far beyond the conventional "CIA/FBI", even "James Bond", approaches as modern day terrorism is beyond that of the WWII era. He handles it all with the skill and aplomb of his best writing, once again. If the ideas involved are not too much for our stomachs grown delicate with high living, then he may have found a part of the true answer. Perhaps not his best book, but at least equal to the best, and that means five easy stars in my pantheon.

Summary: The old Clancy is Back
Review: The Teeth of the Tiger brings back Tom Clancy at his best. He has proven that he is the master at what he does. The book was riveting, especially Jack Ryan's character and all the rest. I couldn't put the book down until I was finished. I sure hope there is a sequel to this story. I thoroughly enjoyed it. If only every book was this good, I'd be reading all the time instead of writing.

Summary: stinkin'
Review: another of heehaw patriotic battle-cry book from el-patriot monsier clancy.
seems preposterous dat terrorists are so efficient during planning stages, but so seriously inept when facing the heroic caruso bros. 4 against 2,with 4 dead against 0.
and dun get me started on this jack jr too.
my tom clancy introduction was red storm rising, and most of de jack ryan books i'd read. this is de pits.

Summary: Tiger reconsidered
Review: I originally wrote a pretty negative review of this book. However, after reading a couple Dale Brown and Dan Brown books and "The Last Jihad" by Joel Rosenberg, I began to long for Clancy's quality. This is definitely the least of his efforts and I believe he needs to retire the Jack Ryan parallel universe in favor of a new series taking place in the real world. However, he is still a superior writer and at least he does his research. Forgive us Tom!
